Let's face it, bubble tea and a good ramen can be hard to come by in the area. Thaichi Bubble Tea definitely itches the scratch when you get the ramen and boba tea craving. This location has served us well, compared to the downtown Chattanooga location (which has difficulty with consistency we've experienced). This location is also a bit more relaxed and enjoyable compared to the downtown location also. We come mostly for the boba teas but do occasionally stop in for ramen. The tonkatsu ramen has been our go-to favorite. The broth is not as flavorful as some of the flavor packed tonkatsu broths we've had the pleasure of enjoying along our adventures, but it is still a good ramen. The atmosphere and wooden booths and decor are really enjoyable. Just watch out for the potential trip hazzard of the hard to see small step up into the booths!!!! As for the bubble teas, the rose green tea with lychee jelly or the jasmine milk tea with boba has been our go-to's. They do fruity green tea drinks here nicely. The tapioca boba pearls aren't the best we've personally tried, but they still add that texture chew to your drink. Some other top drink flavors we'd recommend are the: Peach, Lychee, or Passionfruit green teas (with lychee jelly instead of boba). TaiChi Bubble Tea is my go-to place for ramen and bubble tea. The vegetables in the ramen are always well-cooked, and the tonkatsu soup base is beyond delicious. My only complaint isn't really a complaint: There is a mountain of noodles in the ramen. They are good, just so much. I often eat half the bowl and take the other half home for the next day. I always get a large mango green tea bubble tea with the usual boba (black pearls), a popping boba (mango, passion fruit, lichee), and mango jellies. Light ice, light sugar. We were hangry and wanted somethi g yummy when we stumbled on this gem through Yelp. The place did not dissapoint. We ordered a taro smoothie, sushi burrito, poke bowl and miso ramen. All were very good and generous portions. The miso pork ramen was delicious and comforting but was missing the boiled egg which was a major downside. My poke bowl was massive and everything is customizable. You can add as many toppings and o ly pay for the protein you add. Do note they are extremely generous with their veggie portions and rice is not really a base as much as topping to my surprise. So if you're looking to have a lot of rice, let them know in advance. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the overall vibe of the place was on point. Loved the little potted plans and ambience. Can't wait to return tomorrow. read more

On the website, it shows tons of different flavors, but when we went in, they said they didn't have the flavor we wanted (grape) because the store doesn't carry everything that's on the corporate website. They also don't have any agar boba which I was upset about, as that's what I normally get at other boba shops. However, I got a frozen coconut/Taro smoothie with yogurt boba and it was good! The smoothie part of the drink was amazing. Perfect amount of sweetness and nicely blended up. The yogurt boba, however, not a fan. So they are heavy handed on the veggies but there was only a very small single scoop of rice. Not enough to mix in with the veggies. The server picked up the chicken with his hands (with gloves I think) and I'm not sure it was a full scoop. Similarly the sauces were sparingly added and barely covered the food. The food came in a cute box but I'm use to a bowl container that allows to easy mixing and shaking. The veggies tasted good but I didn't want a salad but a rice bowl. Not sure I'd be back. Ps. I have been here a few times. I love Jasmine tea so have been trying to find a local place that does them frozen. This location has plenty of parking. It is usually busy with people ordering when I come in. I have ordered the jasmine tea because but unfortunately had been too powdery so it takes away from the flavor. Recently, I tried that and a fruit tea (peach). Both were good. They had a nice flavor. My only challenge is the large amounts of tapioca (over half the cup) when I didn't want any. I was looking for ramen in Chattanooga and stumbled upon this place on Yelp. So glad I did! They have a really cute vibe for the booths. You can hang out or study and it seems private. Tonkotsu ramen: Loved it! The chashu and broth were tasty Taro slush: So not the best I've had but it will do. It's made from powder. I prefer the ones with chunks of real taro actually in it but I might be part of the minority on that one. Macaroons: Out of the 6 I got, I really enjoyed the pistachio :) Overall, I'll be back for the poke and other ramen flavors to try them out. read more

The ramen is good, yes, but there aren't enough vegetarian ramen options, and this place is pricey for reasons unbeknownst to me. I like the setup of the place; the booths are comfortable and more private than other booths since the walls in between are so high. There are sketch pads at each table, so it's mildly entertaining to leaf through it while you're waiting for your food. When your name is called, you go grab your order off a cafeteria tray. I've always liked the presentation of ramen. I dunno, call me lame, but it's fund to see all the ingredients separate and then take the chopsticks and spoon to mix it all up (if you want). Still, I was a bit unsatisfied with my meal. Maybe it was the loudness of the place (there seemed to be a few high school groups there who were out having fun. No shade, it was just a bit rowdy). Maybe it was the fact my friend was disappointed there was only one vegetarian ramen option and it was tomato-based (she didn't really enjoy it). Maybe it was that I didn't expect to pay $20 for some okay ramen and a bubble tea. I can't really pinpoint it. I'm glad I went because I was curious and now I know. I was craving boba tea when I was in Chattanooga, and viola! I came upon this place while searching on yelp. I gave it 4 stars because of the following: 1. Location: It was a bit out of the way for us since it wasn't close to our hotel, but I can't use that against them given that I'm not a local. 2. Price: I thought the price was comparable to the boba teas I could get in Atlanta... roughly $4-$5 per cup depending on the size. 3. Setting: the store was a bit small, you basically ordered at the counter, and then stand around for your name to be called. 4. Food: I only came for a quick boba tea run, so didn't try anything else on the menu, but it looks like they had a variety of other food items such as ramen if you are hungry. Not sure where you would sit to eat, or is it to-go only? not sure. When it came to my boba tea, I order the original milk tea with glass jelly. I thought it was good, but I like the shops in Atlanta a little bit better. Just a bit biased. Overall, I like this boba tea place and would definitely recommend if you're around the area. Spicy tonkotsu was so mild that I have to assume they accidentally served me regular tonkotsu broth. That said it was rich and flavorful! The pork was sliced thick which wasnt my preference, but it was tender. Eggs were perfect, glad I ordered an extra. Could have used more vegetables. Noodles are thin, not thick like soba. This review is probably more to remind myself how this place just gets more disappointing each visit. My first time was months ago and having moved from Atlanta and the glory of Buford Highway, I was pleasantly surprised to find a spot offering bubble tea, poke bowls and ramen. All at great prices and much faster than the other local option. But each time it's just getting worse: - never the same workers twice; today's cashier was too busy playing on her phone to notice my boyfriend trying to order then she was immediately overwhelmed by the 3-4 orders behind ours; then she didn't read or punch in the name on the order so there was further confusion as to which bag had our order - ramen packed in one bowl unlike previous times where they get individual ones because hot liquid + noodles + sealed container equals the noodles continuing to cook and absorb the broth so they're kinda slimy and have a bad mouthfeel - previous ramen order was just wrong altogether because that cashier got confused on their POS system But the bubble tea is great. Tapioca is treated well and chewy. They have yet to have all the toppings on the board so I've stopped asking. The poke bowls are generally fresh tho there's some inconsistencies with how much fish I've gotten in my multiple visits. And this is the same place that chose a card reader with a tip prompt...? I want them to still be around and a viable option because that area is really convenient but messed up orders and extremely poor customer service don't make it look promising. read more

I will stick with the poke bowl. The ramen was not bad but it didnt have hardly any veggies in it which was disappointing. It felt really empty for how much it cost. I was very satisfied with my visit where I got the poke bowl, however. I will note that with the taro smoothie - I get it with no added sweetener. I also had to try the sushi burrito. I was a bit disappointed. I was excepting a burrito, but really it's just a giant hand-roll.
