I went to a school fundraiser at the Taglyan Complex a couple weeks ago, and I was impressed with the beautiful venue. It's really hiding in plain sight in the thick of Hollywood on Vine. Things looked a little grimy when our Uber dropped us off around the corner, but wow was it pretty once we got inside. The gala started with a cocktail hour on the patio, and this was a lovely outdoor space with room for the open bar and several servers walking around with a variety of hors d'oeuvres. The main event took place in an enormous ballroom with a gorgeous, dramatic chandeliered ceiling. There were dozens of banquet tables and a good stage/AV set-up to make sure everyone heard the speeches and had every opportunity to donate money. The food was quite good, and I think catered through the venue. I don't remember all the specifics, but dinner was served family style at the table, and there was plenty to eat. It was Mediterranean, and I particularly enjoyed the chicken and kofte kebabs. The bar was accessible, as was the dance floor. All in all, it was a great party. If you're looking for an attractive event space in central Los Angeles, don't sleep on the Taglyan Complex. read more

Attended an Armenian wedding at this venue last week and it was spectacular. As soon as you drive in, you get whole new experience. They were flashing videos of the bride & groom as you enter the complimentary valet parking into what feels like a gated fortress. The outside is a beautiful patio with greenery and water fountain. Once inside the huge lobby, we were greeted with champagne and mouth watering hors d'oeuvres. Musicians played live music too. Once we entered the main banquet hall we were greeted by a lineup of all the waiters. The hall is gorgeous and the ceiling looks like the ceiling of Gallerie Lafayette in Paris. Then we were treated to most delicious dishes all evening long. The dance floor is huge and spacy for dancing. My only complaint is that the waiters removed the delicious ice cream sorbets while we were out on the dance floor. When I asked to bring them back, the waitress didn't seem to understand English too well and brought us the wedding cake instead, lol. Hovig was super helpful from day one till the last minute of our wedding, so there was no need to have a wedding planner. The service was excellent, and the food was very delicious. Came here for a gala event on a Friday night. They had valet parking which was a breeze. At the entry way they had some outdoor areas to hang out in with heat lamps which was very appreciated. After that there was a corridor area at the main entry and from there you could proceed into the grand ballroom. I was very impressed with the feel of this place. You cannot tell from the outside at all how the interiors and the garden/courtyard areas look like, so you do feel secluded and private (if you are interested in this for a wedding or other event). They have a beautiful chandeliers in the ballroom and the lighting is on point. What I loved most about the event was definitely the food. Wow. I lost count on the courses. Everything was delicious. The food I believe is Armenian - definitely had a Mediterranean feel. It was served family style. Loved the lamb, the eggplant hors d'oeuvres, hummus, and rice. I think a company called Divine Catering does the food. All the servers were very attentive and kind as well. Highly recommend this venue. read more

Wow what an amazing wedding experience we had this past Sunday at Taglyan Complex. We chose this beautiful venue for our son's wedding mainly because they have an outdoor garden court area where we planned to do an outdoor ceremony. We had attended a wedding here before so we knew the venue was beautiful and their food just amazing. All I can say is that it did not disappoint. Hovig the manager went above and beyond to make our day special and memorable. We did not even need a wedding planner. He took care of everything relating to the venue. I was always nervous while planning and even the day of the wedding and he always calmly reassured me that everything was going to be ok and encouraged me to be calm. Thank you Hovig. Beautiful from the inside and out! Outdoor location was nicely set up with plenty of seating for the ceremony behind the water fountain. Decorated with beautiful flowers, bar area for you to come and grab a refreshment while you wait for the ceremony to start. Cocktail hour served, crab cakes (delicious), beef skewers was my favorite and scallops. The staff was prompt and pleasant. Once we were able to enter the reception room, it was breathtaking, from the high ceiling, flowers and lighting in the room. The area itself can fit about 400 guests and the dance floor is huge! A menu was provided of the appetizers, salad, main course, sides and desserts. Just a simple breakdown of what was served, Divine stuffed mushrooms, shrimp cocktail, avocado salad, filet migon, black cod, lobster tail with truffle butter, seasonal roasted veggies, fruit and wedding cake, that is only half of the wonderful food that was served. Food was great, portioned enough for each person, service was just awesome, I wasn't able to do anything myself, for example, like pour my own water. As a bride still planning, I have decided to rate my vendors as I go along . One major problem I'm having in LA is price transparency so I will be focusing my reviews on price and how upfront each company was. I will update my reviews with other details as time goes on. Hovig, the owner of the company is as straight forward as you can get. There's nothing LA fake about him. He gives me strong east coast vibes with his no fluff- straight forward answers. He's been doing this so long and so often he could do it in his sleep. He is brief and to the point. He's also very calm and 0 pressure. His price was not in the form of an email so I'll have to find the piece of paper somewhere as we went in person to check the place out but I did get quoted online and we paid between $30,000-35,000 for a Thursday 150 person ceremony and wedding. It includes all food, open nice bar, free valet for guests, all the sound and lighting equipment with the venue, in house tables, chairs and linens if you want to stay in house so all of that's included and you could honestly have a very beautiful wedding with just this but many people, including myself will be building dance floors, adding excessive floral etc so the cost can add up if you're being extra like me but truly, the venue itself has all you need if you don't have to get too over the top with the other vendors. Hovig is VERY responsive. GREAT with email. If I have a question he always gets back to me within a couple hours with a straightforward answer. My wedding isn't until the end of 2023 so I'll update this with photos then but so far, we couldn't be more pleased with Taglyan. I feel so safe and confident with this venue and with Hovig. I would recommend them to any of my friends. ***Update 1. Had to push the wedding back to the next month. Hovig said no problem and changed it. Disclaimer: Been here for two work events. So this review is solely based on what I think of it as a venue. They have valet. Because like Cher said in Clueless, "what's the point? Everywhere you go has valet?" Small outside plaza has a fountain and nicely setup garden for outdoor pictures. But no seating that I can remember. Large hallway or lobby type area before you enter a grand ballroom that comfortably accommodates about 250 with food and a bar setup. Ballroom has at least two projectors. And is nicely lit. Their ballroom is such a beautiful, elegant space -- perfect for any wedding or big event. I'd say there were about 220 people & space was very ample. I know it could easily accommodate more. The highlight of my evening (aside from celebrating the bride & groom) was the food. O. U. T. S. T. A. N. D. I. N. G. This is some of the best food I've EVER had in my life. Seriously, it's that good! The food was fresh, hot, flavorful & abundant. My fave tray-passed hors d'oeuvres were the crab cakes & the mushroom-bell pepper crostini. So fantastic. When we entered the grand ballroom, at least 6 delicious appetizers were awaiting us at our tables. I told you the food was abundant! Oh, and the main courses? Be still my hungry heart! There were 3 different proteins: chicken, beef (or maybe it was lamb?), and salmon. All three were so moist, so tender, so delicious!!! Just thinking about it all makes me salivate. Sides included rice, potatoes, tossed salad & grilled vegetables. EVERYTHING WAS SOOOOOOOOOO GOOD. You also can't beat Tagylan's service. They are first-class all the way! The servers were super kind & incredibly attentive. The parking attendants were so helpful & friendly. In the creepiness that is the streets of Hollywood lies this beautiful hidden gem!!! As you enter you are transcended into a different world. Valet your car for $6 in a clean underground parking lot (or find free street parking along Lexington & Vine). Even the waiters looked like models. (I was here for a fashion show). The garden is beautiful with the fountain and lights wrapped around the trees. Flag poles made the place look important and fit for an international reception (just 2 flags). A doorman will open the door for you. Inside the ballroom you'll be blown away by the decorative ceiling filled with sparkling chandeliers! There's lighting effects around the whole ceiling if you want for dancing or a show. Even the restroom was impressive. The toilet seat covers were hung downward just as it should. Sinks glowed with purple lighting and a basket of napkins are nestled to the side. Didn't get to eat here. Only had the veggie platter. If you have the money, definitely book your wedding reception here. You will get amazing photos! read more

As soon as I got engaged, I knew I wanted to have my wedding at Taglyan- I'd been to a few weddings there a few years ago and was in love with the venue and everything about the whole experience. I did not think it was possible, but my wedding exceeded my expectations by far!!! The planning process- and working with Abram and Hovik - was amazing- so kind, patient, and filled with great advice, and really helped create my 350+ person persian fairytale wedding The wedding itself- beyond beautiful- the venue is of course beautiful- amazing- the photos itself don't do it justice. The lighting, the fog, and courtyard- just beautiful. The staff- the servers and all the staff were beyond amazing. Every time I approached the sweetheart table, one of the servers was there to ask if I needed anything- from drinks to warming up my food (couldn't get me off the dance floor), everything with a smile. All my guests loved the staff too- so courteous, so polished, and they really anticipated our needs without waiting to be asked. The Food- everyone has been talking about how AMAZING the food was- I was in love with the food at the tasting so I knew it was going to be great- but I have some REALLY picky guests- if you are Persian, you understand how incredibly picky persians can be and how they don't hold back from expressing any and all criticism- but seriously, there were none- just alot alot of praise. Not only was the food really really tasty-but there was ALOT of it- just kept coming out- my guests were in love. I got a few calls/texts yesterday and today asking who catered my food- they didn't believe that everything was cooked in house! Dessert Table- the fruit and dessert and tea station- beyond beyond amazing- not only did everything look amazing (so classy and posh) but everything was SO delicious (and thank you to my amazing wedding planner Lisa from love it events who made sure that I had a full plate of those desserts waiting for me at the sweetheart table). I made sure to go check out the set up in the foyer - because Abram and Hovik had told me that its going to be beautiful- but that even exceeded my already high expectations. There was literally about a 15 minute period of time that 80% of my guests were out there admiring it and of course- EATING the yumminess- The FRUIT station was incredible- fruit like lychee and dragon fruit and other exotic fruits along side berries and pineapple, etc., etc.- so pretty and so yummy. I had a champagne station/tower during cocktail hour which was so beautiful and added such a great/classy element to cocktail hour. Hands down I would highly highly recommend Taglyan!! I'm going to push all my friends to get married there too so I can keep going to weddings there because it's seriously that amazing. What can we say, the reviews and pictures spoke for themselves. I would rate the Taglyan 100 out of 5 if I could. Hovig and his associated staff were amazing. Choosing a venue for a wedding or huge event can be intimidating and you often find yourself being pressured by venue managers and when you say no, you get a sense that they resent you. Not this place. Initially we declined to book here and Hovig was gracious, no harm no foul and I walked away not feeling like I insulted him. We looked elsewhere and guess what, we felt the pressure and hated it. On top of that, not many places can top what we saw at the Taglyan cultural center. Even if it was not decorated it was beautiful. About 2 months later, we contacted Hovig again and he indeed remembered us and our wedding date happened to still be available. He brought up our requests from prior and we were able to make adjustments and add-ons. In addition, he really dug deep to make us a deal that was not only more affordable than we thought, but something we couldn't really pass up. Hovig was awesome, calm, and also firm. No wishy washy. He was all business without the pressure. Food was phenomenal. During the tasting my family asked if they had a restaurant or catering side and to their surprise, they don't. Food was exceptional. It kept coming and coming. At other venues you're often wondering "is that it? I'm still hungry!" but here you're already full after appetizers. Flash forward to our big day, Hovig was unfortunately Sick and had his associate Arthur help facilitate. He was really calm and great. He knew the program as well as Hovig did and we felt like there were no missing steps or stones unturned. You see the pictures posted online and on their website? Excellent wedding reception/party venue! We attended an Armenian wedding reception here last night and it was fantastic! The food and drinks were non-stop, with a huge selection, from appetizers to entrees (crab cakes, shrimp, hummus, beef kabobs, salmon, etc.). The venue itself was very pretty and easily accommodated over 400 guests in attendance last night. The dance floor was never empty, with the DJ playing all night and a cool light show going on above the dance floor. Beautiful floral arrangments at every table too. They also offered valet parking. Plenty of hotels nearby in the Hollywood/ Sunset area if you are having out-of-town guests who want to stay close to the center. A truly impressive place - we had a great time! I worked as the assistant chair and chair of a charity gala for my sorority at UCLA and ended up working with The Taglyan for 3 years in the process. I am so happy we decided to go with this venue. The staff helped make our event exactly how we wanted. They were easy to work with, professional, always responded in a timely manner and gave us college kids some welcomed tips and tricks from time to time. not to mention The venue is absolutely STUNNING! They had a hosted valet stand and there is an underground parking structure. The event had about 200 people. Very beautiful facility, spacious, and a fun night. THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. It was a Greek buffet dinner and everything was so fresh, tasty, flavorful, and I heard even the coffee was good. Came here for an evening charity event and was pleasantly surprised by the outdoor garden space. It allows events to spill outside the doors and allow for the event to spread out. The dinner ballroom space is huge and the food was good, especially for this type of event (500+ people). The theme of the food was middle eastern, which was a nice change from the usual rubber chicken. My only suggestion is that they not serve family style, which is quite awkward at round tables of 10. It gets crowded and there isn't enough space on the table and it is difficult to pass the different dishes. read more

4.5 stars. My husband and I came for his annual work dinner and dance. Valet parking was hosted by his company and since it was "Hollywood" themed, we pulled up to a red carpet. But even without that- the garden upon stepping foot on the property are beautiful, with twinkling lights, neatly trimmed shrubs, trees, and a water fountain. We followed the red carpet up the stairs where a server was waiting, ready to hand us a champagne glass before we even entered the main doors. Do not judge a book by its cover. The actual building is quite plain and unassuming, but once you step inside the ballroom, it is gorgeous with a beautiful ceiling and elegant chandelier taking center stage above the dance floor. I had my wedding here this past weekend, May19, 2012, and it was the best experience! Everyone loved the food, the customer service was impeccable, Abram was so helpful in helping us plan every additional detail that the Taglyan could offer. . The staff was sooooo wonderful making sure that everyone was served and that their glasses were full. They took care of everything and left no detail overlooked! When we started planning my sons wedding back in 2016 we looked at booking hotels for the venue. After looking at different hotels and what they had to offer we came to Taglyan and met with Hovik to go over what they had to offer and look at their packages. All I can say is that after our first meeting with him we booked the date for 4/14/18. It was one of the best choices we made. From our first interaction until the day of the wedding Hovik was very accommodating in every way with his professionalism and making things so much easier for us. Hovik manages his team so well that the service is impeccable and the food is outstanding. If I had to do it all over again I would go back hands down cause I will never forget the service that taglyan provided. They say "you pay what you get for" in this case it is so true. This is one of the most gorgeous event venues in LA! I love the ceilings and how they change color. The catering here and outdoor space is just awesome! I can't wait to come back here for a future event! This complex is truly magical. read more

In a place where you wouldn't expect to find such a beautiful gem, Taglyan is the best wedding venue I have set foot in. From the first meeting to the wedding day, Abram; our wedding coordinator was very helpful and every problem I've stumbled upon was fixed in such a fast and timely matter. Because of him and his team of people, my wedding was a big success that even after months, people are still talking about it. Every need I had was taken care of. All of my guest complemented me on the service they provided, and the food that was served. The food was AMAZING! Ok, I'm sold on the Taglyan. Not only is the space elegant and full of personality, the food was a 25 on the scale of 1-10. I suppose if you are a guy, you may not be as excited by the quinoa and avacado salads or even the humus. Don't worry, there was delicious meat too! The space offers the event planner room to seat and entertain guests and not bottleneck at one area. The garden area was like a beautiful English garden- unreal in Hollywood. Kudus to the chef!!!!
