Would give 0 stars if that were an option. I strongly recommend avoiding this company if you can. From the beginning, the work felt rushed and low quality, with corners clearly being cut while insurance was billed premium prices. Communication was poor throughout, and attention to detail was consistently lacking. Part of the bathroom remodel was my responsibility since insurance wouldn't cover the undamaged portion. I quickly realized something was off once I started seeing their pricing. They quoted $3,400 for a glass shower door--I had it done elsewhere for $1,700. They also quoted nearly $9,000 for a walk-in shower with basic white subway tile; I ultimately had it completed with excellent craftsmanship for $6,400. I eventually stopped the job altogether after repeated issues, including reinstalling a mirror without leaving space for a backsplash--despite that being clearly discussed. To make matters worse, they used a black tar-like adhesive that made the mirror nearly impossible to remove without breaking it and caused wall damage. Years later, I'm still dealing with problems caused by their work. I initially hesitated to leave a review because the owner, Corey, came as a personal recommendation. The final straw, however, was the LVP flooring installed by their subcontractor. About two years after installation, the planks began cupping and shifting. I brought in multiple flooring contractors for repair quotes (around $1,500), and every single one said the same thing: the flooring was not installed correctly. There was insufficient expansion space, no transitions, and likely no vapor barrier--especially concerning given this was part of a flood mitigation project. When I raised these concerns, I was met with deflection and avoidance. Eventually, Alex acknowledged that corners were cut, but claimed it wasn't "legally required" at the time. Even if that were true, manufacturer recommendations exist for a reason--especially after flood damage. I still tried to resolve things reasonably and asked for a fair quote to fix the issue and move on. Their response was a $2,484 quote--nearly $1,000 more than every other contractor. Between the overpricing, poor workmanship, lack of accountability, and long-term issues I'm still dealing with, this was an extremely frustrating experience. This company's front office is in complete disarray from everybody that works there to their office manager. There was never any follow up I was the one that always had to call them asking what the status was between their conversations with my insurance company. I sent them the statement of work from my insurance company well over a month ago and the people at tactical restoration said they would assign me a project manager. I called them almost every week for a month and nothing happened and then all of a sudden they told me they didn't have the insurance company statement of work and we had to start all over again and it would be another 7 to 8 weeks before they could assign me a project manager. **Update***Today my call was responded to by both Tyler W. (one of the owners), and Corey G., the GM. Then Corey actually came to my house and walked through everything, and allowed me to completely vent to him about my experience. He apologized profusely. I will now be dealing with him, and he explained how things should have gone. I added a couple stars for that. Now, lets see if once the project is completed, they can get a full 5 stars and if they carry out what they said they would do. I truly feel like they are making an attempt to right things. A guy who had a history of epileptic seizures decided to drive (how he got a license in the first place is beyond me~working in the medical field, I would love to know who is provider is!) into my back yard April 17th, 2016. The sales manager Tyler B., came out at the time, and created quotes to provide to State Farm (driver's insurance). He was a great guy, but unbeknownst to me, Tactical "separated employment" with him. I was handed off to Gary W., the project manager. Gary seemed to be a nice guy, however, his customer service skills are completely lacking. It's been 4 months and 1 week since my backyard was in shambles. Tactical (Gary and Tyler) told me they could not begin ANY work until they had the money. State Farm asked whether I wanted to have the check sent to Tactical directly or to myself. Because I didn't want to be bothered every time Tactical needed money, I decided to have it sent to Tactical. DUMB IDEA. Hind sight is always 20/20 though. There were items on the quote that Tactical did not fix per my request, however, when I asked Gary to provide me receipts (he told me he would give them to me at one time), now he says he can't do that. What? So basically Tactical lied on their quote, are hiding things from me, and now they are going to keep any extra money that I should be getting for putting up with all of this. When I asked Gary to reimburse me for items not fixed, he said, once they get paid they would. Um, hello?? They already received the check months ago? I was told they couldn't begin the work without the money? So now they lied about that too? When I called Gary, I said, "Gary you are really scaring me." And the way he spoke back to me, was like I was a 3 year old. Very condescending, and said, "I have multiple projects going on, and I don't know the details of each project until I research." What? If your policy is to get paid before you start work, then you should already know you got paid? He says it's not a big deal. Okay, not a big deal to who? Gary says, it was simply a misunderstanding. First of all, as a project manager, shouldn't you know ALL of your projects? And ALL of your customers, and more importantly follow the company's policy of getting paid before working any project????? With only 3 reviews here, I can't see they are that busy! I had asked for specific vendors to do painting on my house, but they used their own people. The painters put my screens on backwards and upside down, took my patio lights down without asking me first if I wanted my patio cover painted. So now, I have to find someone to put those back up for me. It took 3 weeks for my bedroom window to arrive. And they wouldn't touch anything else until they got the window done. Then the carpeting came, and I specifically asked for that to be laid down 3 weeks later because the carpeting arrived before the window, and I had to wait until after the window was installed. I decided to wait a couple weeks after the window due to conflicts with work (since I had to miss work to be home while they installed the carpeting). Gary said he would be putting the carpeting in on a different day. He completely forgot that I had requested a specific day. I told him he was scaring me because he doesn't remember? Multiple times he has "not remembered" something. I cannot believe how awful Tactical Restoration is with their customers. They seem to forget who their customers are, and more importantly could care less. DO NOT USE THEM!!!! read more

I think I made it extremely clear in my review that you are the problem Corey. I know that Chris asked you to call me and you didn't. In addition, I left three messages for you at the office that I know you got. I made it very clear who I was and the type of customer service and workmanship I expected and you talked a big game that your company could meet my expectations until I started asking about the complaints your company has on file. You showed that you and your company are not transparent and cannot take the heat once questions are asked about the complaints on file. Also, you should have had the backbone to call me and tell me that yourself instead of trying to blame your worker Chris on Yelp (for everyone to see) for something he absolutely didn't do !! After reading these reviews, I was excited about having Tactical Restoration put a new corrugated cover on our patio - a small job. Their quote was higher than a previous one we had gotten, but our insurance company recommended them. First off, they brought out clear polycarbonate (slightly smoked) panels. It was like having a sky light! We need shade so I complained and asked for an OPAQUE material like the original cover. They then brought out a translucent white. Better, so at this point I just said to go with it and put it over the other. I should have refused it. They put it over the clear material and I noticed several places where their screws missed the joist and splintered the wood. They returned the next day and fixed that. Finally, to add insult to injury, they increased their quote to cover the wrong panels! I refused to pay the extra amount. They billed the insurance company who paid rather than argue over a "small" amount ($250). read more
