I did overhear one of the technicians I allowed in for a "free evaluation" on speakerphone with the plumber asking if a $2,000 finder's fee sounded reasonable. I kept my mouth shut but it definitely raised some red flags. I listened to all three companies separately and then decided to do some serious research online. While some companies have plenty of glowing Google reviews, once you start looking at other sources like Yelp, the Arizona ROC, and the BBB, the picture can look very different. Consider this a friendly warning to homeowners: do your homework. After digging deeper, I was fortunate to find ASAP Restoration. One thing that immediately stood out is that they do not work referral deals with plumbers, do not pay kickbacks, and do not play games with deductibles. They simply focus on doing the job correctly. The team was extremely professional. The mitigation/demo crew handled the water damage quickly and thoroughly, and the reconstruction team has been excellent. We're now about 90% finished with the rebuild and everything is coming together great. I just felt the need to share my experience before heading out for spring break. If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, take a breath, do your research, and call a company that focuses on integrity and quality work. For me, that company was ASAP Restoration.

Such a…read morebummer to have discovered mold behind two shower enclosures while we were remodeling, but Voda came in and saved the day so we didn't fall too far behind schedule with the remainder of trades needed to finish remodeling! (And, thankfully for us, the mold was caused by tile not being sealed in the shower niche where shampoo/bottles/soaps are placed - the mold wasn't from a plumbing issue.) One thing we found out while searching for a mold remediation company is that pricing is all over the place here in the East Valley. And after speaking with a few realtors, it became clear that not everyone can be trusted to do the work well. For our specific situation, we weren't sure if the mold had spread under the concrete floor of the showers. Two other companies said there was no need to remove the concrete flooring; however, Voda's estimator video conferenced with his remediation crew during the free-estimate-walkthrough and they were certain it needed to be removed in both showers. Voda was right - the concrete shower floors needed to be removed so the subfloor could also be treated. Voda was not the least expensive, but they were the most thorough and inclusive of all work needed to be done -- and when dealing with mold removal/remediation, as a homeowner, you want to know it's gone. Voda's workers are certified and they treat your home as if it was their own (possibly even better because it was incredibly clean when they left!). Also, an unrelated, third party environmental company tested the two shower areas after Voda was finished -- and our shower areas passed the tests! Voda works with insurance companies to help you if you have a claim, and they also work directly with homeowners (like us) when it's not covered by insurance. Given Voda's other excellent reviews online, we can agree with all the other 5-star reviews. We highly recommended Voda's professional services!

I recently hired and payed this company $500 for tile, couch, and carpet cleaning, and while the…read moreservice started off well, the overall experience was disappointing to say the least. At first, Communication was good, Sid arrived on time, and the technician was professional. The tile and couch cleaning both turned out well for the usage they had. However, the carpet and rug cleaning fell well below expectations. After the carpets dried, multiple stains wicked back up to the surface, indicating they were left overly wet and not properly extracted. I had to rent my own machine and re-clean the carpets myself to correct the issue. Additionally, I paid extra to have an area rug cleaned, but it was only partially done. The section under and around the ottoman was not properly cleaned and had a strong urine odor, while only the visible areas of the rug were clean. This was particularly frustrating because we specifically discussed moving the furniture to fully clean those areas which they agreed to prior. While the company said they could return to spot clean, having them back wasn't practical. Given my schedule due to me traveling out of state a large portion of my time, I needed to move things back in the house asap to keep my house usable for my family while I leave. At that point, I had no choice but to handle it myself quickly and redo the cleaning the next morning so I could leave on my trip with the house put back together. I requested a reasonable partial refund based on the additional cost, effort required to fix the work, and inconvenience on my schedule, but was told they won't refund anything without an attempt to redo the work and was told I should have called sooner. In the end, I paid for a service that I had to redo myself. Based on this experience, I would not use this company again. For some clients, a return trip may be a possibility for them to fix their mess ups, which I wish I had that commodity this time, but this time I did not, and is important for individuals like myself where there is an extremely high demanding schedule, it is important the job gets done right the first time, not short cut corners on things agreed upon. Trust was broken, which makes it hard to believe they could rectify it a second time. Instead they blamed me, blocked me, and won't do the right thing. Future clients beware of who you are dealing with. The dirty pics attached is when they finished cleaning, the clean are when I re cleaned myself.

It's not easy to do that, so I respect him for it. Dan asked if I'd still be willing to consider an itemized quote from him for the work, and he sent a detailed one when I agreed. Then there was a long delay on my part, but when I finally accepted and signed the quote, he was on-site within a week and finished all the restoration work in 1 day.
