Ultimately they wanted to install a new $25,000 AC unit and would clean the ducts for "free". The second company that came out, name starts with "F", and that's what they wanted to do. We didn't even let the guy finish the inspection to get a quote because he too wanted to upsell us. We then called Gesundheit. Mr. Barker gave a quote over the phone based on the number of vents in the house. Added cleaning the dryer vent for an additional $129. The two guys that came out did a great job cleaning the vents and cleaning up after the job was done. They took care to treat our home with respect as they performed their job. I did not have a good experience with this company…read more I had very little opportunity to personally inspect the property before the purchase so i was definitely relying on the inspector to do their job. The inspector found many minor issues but also misidentified a number of "code violations". The seller was a licensed plumber and pointed out that the inspector was wrong in many places which didn't sit too well with us. After the inspection I got multiple misleading phone calls from the "client success" team. All they wanted to do was sell me additional services but they refused to tell me what they wanted to talk about beforehand. This happened repeatedly where I would get a call or an email saying they wanted to call to talk about how the inspection went and "some other items". When I asked what "other items" I would never get a straight answer. I finally just replied in an email that I wasn't super happy with the inspection and had no interest in any other services from the company But then the real bad stuff came out. Major rot in half the windows in my house. I discovered it after less than a day in the house and it was clearly evident. The bill will be $50,000 to replace the windows. I placed a complaint with the company and was asked to supply documentation which I did with copious pictures and estimates for repair. I got the response I expected - windows wouldn't open at the time of inspection, screens in the way, etc. - so we don't have any liability. When I sent pictures of fixed windows (they don't ever open) and no screens that clearly showed rot they then offered to refund the inspection fee but only if I agreed to an NDA that is clearly intended to avoid bad social media exposure. I would not ever use this company again. Their service simply didn't do what I needed it to do. And I don't need a sales job for extermination services and relocation services, etc. from my inspection company. I am guessing the owner will respond to this and they have every right to. But I would have traded all the ticky tack stuff the inspector did call out for him having seen even one of the windows that clearly had moisture damage and suggesting we look into that further.

We used Voda's professional services on June 4, 2025, for mold removal and remediation. Such a…read morebummer to have discovered mold behind two shower enclosures while we were remodeling, but Voda came in and saved the day so we didn't fall too far behind schedule with the remainder of trades needed to finish remodeling! (And, thankfully for us, the mold was caused by tile not being sealed in the shower niche where shampoo/bottles/soaps are placed - the mold wasn't from a plumbing issue.) One thing we found out while searching for a mold remediation company is that pricing is all over the place here in the East Valley. And after speaking with a few realtors, it became clear that not everyone can be trusted to do the work well. For our specific situation, we weren't sure if the mold had spread under the concrete floor of the showers. Two other companies said there was no need to remove the concrete flooring; however, Voda's estimator video conferenced with his remediation crew during the free-estimate-walkthrough and they were certain it needed to be removed in both showers. Voda was right - the concrete shower floors needed to be removed so the subfloor could also be treated. Voda was not the least expensive, but they were the most thorough and inclusive of all work needed to be done -- and when dealing with mold removal/remediation, as a homeowner, you want to know it's gone. Voda's workers are certified and they treat your home as if it was their own (possibly even better because it was incredibly clean when they left!). Also, an unrelated, third party environmental company tested the two shower areas after Voda was finished -- and our shower areas passed the tests! Voda works with insurance companies to help you if you have a claim, and they also work directly with homeowners (like us) when it's not covered by insurance. Given Voda's other excellent reviews online, we can agree with all the other 5-star reviews. We highly recommended Voda's professional services!
