I've been wanting to check out Tacotarian for awhile. I ended up ordering the carne asada nachos (not pictured) and my friend ordered the flautas. Service was extremely quick - we had our food within 5-10 minutes. The food was pretty tasty and best of all, I felt great after eating it. It's great to have some healthier, vegan options when I'm craving Mexican food. While it wasn't my absolute favorite place in the world, I do think it's a great alternative and I'm very interested in trying out more options from the menu! read more

I stopped into Tacotarian for something new tonight. I ordered a taco platter so that I could try three different tacos along with the rice and beans. 1. Mushroom asada 2. Jackfruit barbacoa 3. Dorado (mashed potato in a crispy shell) Each taco was good in its own right. I mean, you can't go wrong with mushrooms. Even if they're masquerading as meat. Same with jackfruit. Not a bad meat substitute. And the potato taco brought back memories. I hadn't had a taco like that in a long time. It fell apart a bit but it was tasty nonetheless. Each of the tacos were good with and without the salsa but the medium spice tomatillo salsa tied them all together. Now down to the sides, rice - average. Black beans - amazing. And a refreshing little side of dressed shredded lettuce salad. I also got a jamaica drink. And I thought the salad was refreshing. The drink was even more so. It went down way too easy. All in all, price was a bit more than I wanted to lay for vegetarian tacos. That said, I left feeling like I had a complete meal. And a good one at that. Everything was delicious. Service was good too. My meal was brought to my table along with a fork and napkins. I appreciate really good vegan food and this place has it! You can't go wrong ordering anything here. However, I did try their ice cream sandwich recently. It's called churro Chata. I don't think I'll purchase it again. You may like it so give it a try and form your own opinion. But their margaritas are amazing! I suggest going when it's happy hour. I believe that's 3 to 6 Monday through Friday, but don't quote me on that. Dinner time it gets very busy here but the service is always good! They have abundant seating for everyone, inside and out, and complementary Wi-Fi. Parking is usually not an issue, but sometimes especially around dinner time it can become sparse. What is there to say about a venue (all locations) that are excellent, 100% of the time. Food, ambiance, staff, & overall price (could be a little better); everything is exceptional! Food: tacos - veggie, al pastor, Baja, and fish taco. We also had the guac with chips. The al pastor was good on the first bite, but became saltier with each bite. The veggie was good and I'd get that again as I liked all the components it had. Hubby said he would get the Baja again. The guac flavoring was off. Maybe not salty enough? Not sure - some balance was off. Service: they forgot to make our guac and we had to ask about it. But they made up for it by making it and also giving us a $5 off coupon for next time. Finally got photos before I devoured everything!! I am a fan of this spot. Full disclosure, I am not vegan but I love everything here!! Started with the queso fundido. Now iykyk most vegan cheese is weird but this is simply amazing. The texture is not gritty, its not rubbery and it literally melts like regular cheese and tastes so freakin good. My go to is the taco platter. Although the burrito is delicious but so big I cant get the elote or the chips n dip or the fundido or whatever else snack I need that day . Haven't been in a while, yesterday my husband and I were craving it. I ordered the tortilla soup as it was really great last time, unfortunately this round was beyond gross. The base was a thick red sauce texture, nothing in it other than some chips on top. The flavor was awful and bitter like rubber. Not sure what happened but will not be ordering again. This is a great location with ample parking and a great patio with there is warm weather. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. It wasn't crazy busy but it did take quite a while for the food to come to the table. The chips are crispy and the salsa has just the right amount of spice. I could've sworn I already reviewed or at the least checked in at this location, but unfortunately I did not remember ordering the tacos the last time and liking two of the three flavors and wanted to order again. It was a very busy Sunday morning and the "wait" in line was a little on the longer side, meaning I had more time to look at the menu, also meaning I had the realization that I had more options. More options can be paralyzing. So, I asked, the woman at the counter for her suggestion, she said the Chikis Chilaquiles were very popular with the added egg and meat alternative I ordered that per her suggestion and although it wasn't bad, I did not love it. I felt that the tomatillo sauce was a little overpowering. I believe the last time I was here I ordered a Carne Asada taco, a fish taco and El Dorado... next time I'll do a better job and let my phone eat first!! I was craving some tacos and since it was taco Tuesday this place was busy, but then again it may have just been cause it was dinner time. They have a long list of tacos to chose from with a variety of vegan and gf tacos, yes that's right we had more than two options to chose from for once. They also had nachos, burritos and so much more on the menu too. I got three tacos (they are street tacos) I got the jackfruit, chorizo and the fried potato. All were really good, the jackfruit have a little spicy kick to it, the potato was soft with the crunch outside and the chorizo was good but didn't hit quite like the others did. It is pretty thick compared to others I've had. The inside was decent size with a large patio outside. The cashier was super friendly, she was also a server as well, she was busy. This place got a little crazy though, between inside order and mobile orders the wait time was a little longer. They ran out of salsa when I was there but I didn't have any on my tacos so I was ok, but others had to wait awhile. They also take cash here so you don't have to use your card here. Another winning dining experience at Tacotarian! Today, my sis and I tried a Mexican pizza. It was tastey and plenty of food for two. It was also national taco day so we got free potato tacos! Tacotarian is still one of my favorite places to go. I love their regular lunch and dinner menu items and their specials are always awesome but I recently have been going more often for brunch. The parking lot was really crazy this morning so I was late to pickup my online order. Juan was kind enough to offer to remake my food for me before I even had time to say anything. That was really nice of him but definitely not necessary because it was my fault that I was late. I don't know any other restaurant that would do that for me. My favorite brunch items are the breakfast sandwich and the Birria grilled cheese. Make sure not to leave without a horchata iced coffee! I still enjoy going in the afternoons/evenings as well. My first experience is through takeout. When I opened my boxes my jaw dropped. The food is beautiful first and foremost. The taste is remarkable. Its Sunday afternoon and I finally decided to try this place out and first impression was great! No crowds and I was able to get extra attention. I finally ordered and I told the cashier/ host gentleman that it was my first time, and it was my friends second time. Carlos was very patient with us. I ordered 3 tacos, the Cane Asada, Al Pastor, and fish taco. To drink I tried their Pineapple Aqua fresca. I asked out kind hostess, Carlos what does mole taste like because I was questioning the plaintains con mole taco. He was very kind to let us try just the mole and plaintain and for extra he let us try the jamaica aqua which was very refreshing and definely will order it next time. Since Tacotarian opened their Henderson location, which is right down the street from my house, I've been dying to take my two best friends here, who both follow a very strict vegan diet. Pre-COVID, they've introduced me to many vegan places all around the Las Vegas valley. Sadly, I can't take them out to eat anymore because they are still taking COVID very seriously. I just couldn't wait any longer to visit Tacotarian, and I can't believe I haven't stopped in here yet! My mom wanted to meet up for lunch and I decided on here. Tacotarian can be found between Boom Bang and Toro Sushi in the Smiths shopping complex. They used to be a Starbucks, which I visited on a VERY frequent basis before COVID lockdowns went into effect and then they went out of business. To be fair, it was a little strange stepping into what used to be a coffee shop. Now, let me tell you how excellent their food was! I ordered their chips and salsa and a fish taco, with a Sprite to cool down with, and my mom ordered their chimichanga burrito with rice and beans on the side. Their chimichanga burrito is HUGE. It was so huge that my mom wanted me to share it with her. Everything that we ordered was just full of flavor. I already want to come back because I was so impressed with the quality of the food and the service. I like that they have a spacious patio, but with the excessive heat warning currently in effect, it was much too hot to sit outside. Instead, we sat in the cool interior at a cozy booth. Tacotarian was one of the very first spots I tried since moving to Vegas. I didn't know that they had this dope Brunch menu until I slid on over mid afternoon on day. Food 5 out of 5 stars across the board!!! Birria Grilled Cheese - Sourdough bread toasted with Good Planet™ cheese and filled with house made birria. Served with dipping broth and a side of fries. I would have NEVER thought to make this, but I'm so happy they did! You get the dip that you want and I had tomatillo sauce to add a little extra to it. Birria Platter- 4 birria tacos (beyond and jackfruit blend) with dipping broth. This reminds me of those street tacos you want after a night out. It hits the spot every single time. Mole Enchiladas - 3 corn tortillas, mashed potatoes, pastor, white cheese, crema. You can choose your own "meat" and sauce and it comes with a side salad, rice and beans. I grew up eating this all the time back home and this is the 1st time since being vegan that's compared to that nostalgia I've been missing. Pineapple Aqua Fresca - fresh and refreshing! I've brought my friend from Australia when she came to visit and she loved it all. Today we had some friends from California come visit and I said let's try this place. They are both vegetarians. They were like we wish we had this close to us. They live in the LA area. My friend said I would be here everyday. She was very excited to have the tortilla soup, she got it to go.
