    BIRRIA PLATTER
    Terry C.

The food was pretty good here but we had a hard time ordering due to one table of eight or ten essentially taking over the restaurant. They had a child or two being themselves and the high schoolers were talking over the kids screaming, crying, or each other. They had no sound treatment so the small place was too much. I could not wait to leave it was so loud and obnoxious. The chefs closed the kitchen door which is probably pretty rare as it gets warm in there. I had to go back to the counter twice as we didn't get what we ordered as the waiter couldn't hear what we were saying either. The birria taco platter is worth ordering but I was still hungry and decided to go somewhere else. I enjoyed the pineapple drink however and the person at the counter did his best to not do anything about the loud group.

Came here with a group of friends. Love the amount of seating outside. The food was really great! I will definitely be back. I would give it 5 stars but there was no soap in the restroom.

I've been wanting to check out Tacotarian for awhile. I ended up ordering the carne asada nachos (not pictured) and my friend ordered the flautas. Service was extremely quick - we had our food within 5-10 minutes. The food was pretty tasty and best of all, I felt great after eating it. It's great to have some healthier, vegan options when I'm craving Mexican food. While it wasn't my absolute favorite place in the world, I do think it's a great alternative and I'm very interested in trying out more options from the menu!

Got a 3 because the food is delicious. Lost stars because I ordered the fish taco but swap out the meet for the barbacoa. It costs $4.50 for a fish taco, and $2.99 for a barbacoa taco. All of the receipts show it correctly, but in the end they gave me a barbacoa taco. So I got charged $1.51 more and also did not get the item I wanted.

What is there to say about a venue (all locations) that are excellent, 100% of the time. Food, ambiance, staff, & overall price (could be a little better); everything is exceptional! It's one of my favorite places to eat 50% of the week lol. Quality of ingredients (except kids chicken tenders which are frozen gardein) are so fresh. I only wish they offered the Mexican pizza all year round. No complaints, challenges or anything negative to say about this brand! Keep it coming! PS they just started offering (in store only for October 2025) kids under 12 (with adult paying $15+) eat free (1 meal on the kids menu) Sunday through Thursday). Thank you Tacotarian Team! Unconditional love. always

    Churro Chata ice cream sandwich

I appreciate really good vegan food and this place has it! You can't go wrong ordering anything here. However, I did try their ice cream sandwich recently. It's called churro Chata. I don't think I'll purchase it again. You may like it so give it a try and form your own opinion. But their margaritas are amazing! I suggest going when it's happy hour. I believe that's 3 to 6 Monday through Friday, but don't quote me on that. Dinner time it gets very busy here but the service is always good! They have abundant seating for everyone, inside and out, and complementary Wi-Fi. Parking is usually not an issue, but sometimes especially around dinner time it can become sparse. I love that Tacotarian is growing and thriving. Please support them and enjoy their amazing food and service.

Good food got California burrito and my wife got tacos they did skimp out on the protein on the tacos but at least they were good. The workers have no personality they're nice but could use some help with customer service.

I'm not vegan but our vegan doctor treated us for lunch, this is my 4th time trying out their food. They taste just like real meat and so as the texture. I've never been to the restaurant so I don't know hot the ambiance is But I would like to thank them for making our doctor happy with their food.

R-L veggie taco, al pastor taco (too salty), mild salsa
    Jessica W.

Food: tacos - veggie, al pastor, Baja, and fish taco. We also had the guac with chips. The al pastor was good on the first bite, but became saltier with each bite. The veggie was good and I'd get that again as I liked all the components it had. Hubby said he would get the Baja again. The guac flavoring was off. Maybe not salty enough? Not sure - some balance was off. Service: they forgot to make our guac and we had to ask about it. But they made up for it by making it and also giving us a $5 off coupon for next time. Ambiance: this location is bigger than the Fort Apache location and has a nice outside patio in the back, but it was too hot of a day to use it. I keep trying to like this place ever since my favorite vegan taco place closed (Pancho's Vegan Tacos - RIP) but something just falls short.

First time at Tacotarian! Food is outstanding...so many tacos....so little time! And the churros are perfect for dessert. They say a picture is worth a thousand words... here you go... try this place!

    Teresa L.

Food was very disappointing. The taco shell was rancid. I felt the tacos could have been better. Service was great. Waiter was super nice and very knowledgeable. Ambiance was chill. I wish the taco shells were fresh and that the tacos had more flavor. I feel sad to see that Vegas isn't what it used to be in regard to vegan fine cuisine.

Is there any entree that is gluten free here? Does this restaurant use a shared fryer for things like flour tortilla taquitos that would cross contaminate gluten free corn tortilla chips? I have Celiac disease and have to eat gluten free.

Food here goes from tacos, sushi, rice dishes, sashimi, to Asian fusion dishes. We started with the beet tostados, wasabi aioli, watermelon radish, jalapenos and cilantro. A beautiful, fresh and light crunchy tostado with a slight sweetness of the beets. A definite must try. The three blackened shrimp tacos with spicy mayo, yuzu cilantro slaw, cilantro and pickled red onions were tasty, over-dressed with slaw but a solid. Our final selection was the King Kong roll with spicey tuna, avocado, cucumber, and covered in togarashi tuna, wasabi aioli, crispy onions and ponzu. This was tasty, multiple flavors and a bit of a bite. Chinitas is fun and serves casual Asian fusion treats. The innovation here is spot-on. The food quality is decent while the environment is light and fun. Give Chinitas a try with friends after work or family members, I'm sure you will find a combo that makes your taste buds dance.

Their online ordering can be a little hit-or-miss, so we usually skip the website drama and just order at the host desk. Your food is typically ready in about 15 minutes, and they write your order right on the boxes--which is a lifesaver when you're picking up a feast. Utensils are provided, too. And when I say the portions are MASSIVE, I mean it. You definitely get your money's worth. We've never gone wrong with the burgers or any of the mac-n-cheese plates. My personal favorite, though? The Oreo milkshake. It's dangerously good. One of the hosts also recommended a "secret" menu item: milkshake that tasted exactly like an Orange Creamsicle. That was a fun surprise and definitely one of those "trust the staff" moments! We usually grab our food and take it back to our place, but the restaurant itself is a comfortable spot, too. There's a bar area with high-top seating and a separate restaurant section, TVs showing the latest sports, plenty of space between tables, and thankfully, it's not overly noisy. The hosts/servers were especially attentive on this trip--2 out of the 3 we interacted with were genuinely kind and gave us some great suggestions. One thing to be aware of: there are homeless people walking around the surrounding area, so just keep that in mind when coming and going. Overall, The Modern Vegan has officially earned its "Vegas trip = must eat here" status for us. Come hungry... or better yet, come hungry and bring a fridge.

I had recently been eating a healthy vegan and gluten-free diet at a yoga retreat and noticed how much better I was feeling, so I was craving that same kind of nourishing experience today. The Modern Vegan seemed like the perfect choice. I was greeted by the friendly Nicole at the door, who ended up being my server--and she was delightful! She was patient with all my questions, attentive, and provided genuinely great service. (I think my lemon for the water may have gotten lost somewhere along the way, but Nicole, I forgive you. ) I ordered the Breakfast Skillet, and WOW--it was delicious! I would absolutely order it again. If I were making a couple of tiny tweaks next time, I might go with fresh avocado instead of guacamole if that's an option, and I'd probably get the cheese sauce on the side. But honestly, those are just personal preferences because the skillet was fantastic. The portion was generous enough that I ended up taking half home, which means I already have tomorrow's breakfast waiting for me. YAY! And can we talk about the ambiance? The inside is adorable! I loved all the flowers and plants, the beautiful lighting, chandeliers, and artwork on the walls. It has such a fun, welcoming, colorful energy that makes you want to linger. There was also a cute sign as you're entering the bathrooms that said, "Sorry daddy, I'm in Vegas," which definitely gave me a little laugh and added to the playful vibe of the place. I left feeling full, happy, and very pleased with my decision to revisit The Modern Vegan. After several years away, I'd say this Saturday breakfast was a delicious reminder that sometimes your body knows exactly what it wants--and today, mine wanted vegan food!

There are stairs or there's an elevator located close by for the ADA. It is very small inside: 3 tables pushed up against the wall so they only accommodate 3 seats each. About 15 high top chairs around the perimeter of the windows accounted for the bulk of the seating. The service from the staff was very nice and friendly. Since it was our first time, they gave us a chance to look over the menu and ask questions. They were very accommodating to our requests for substitutions and even recooked our French fries to make them softer. My son and I shared the Salami sandwich with fries and I also got the southern fried oyster mushrooms with a Housemade dragonfruit lemonade. My son despises any vegan cheese or vegan mayo and he tore this sandwich UP! He even added extra mayo on his half of the sandwich. The olive jalapeño tapenade was tasty and really pulled the sandwich together but it was slightly spicy so careful to those who are sensitive to spice. The southern seasoned oyster mushrooms were so flavorful. The batter was light and crispy, the mushrooms were sliced thick and not too thin. One of the best I've ever had. The lemonade was okay. Could have used more flavor and more sweetener. Overall, I will definitely be back to try some more items on the menu.
