The food was pretty good here but we had a hard time ordering due to one table of eight or ten essentially taking over the restaurant. They had a child or two being themselves and the high schoolers were talking over the kids screaming, crying, or each other. They had no sound treatment so the small place was too much. I could not wait to leave it was so loud and obnoxious. The chefs closed the kitchen door which is probably pretty rare as it gets warm in there. I had to go back to the counter twice as we didn't get what we ordered as the waiter couldn't hear what we were saying either. The birria taco platter is worth ordering but I was still hungry and decided to go somewhere else. I've been wanting to check out Tacotarian for awhile. I ended up ordering the carne asada nachos (not pictured) and my friend ordered the flautas. Service was extremely quick - we had our food within 5-10 minutes. The food was pretty tasty and best of all, I felt great after eating it. It's great to have some healthier, vegan options when I'm craving Mexican food. While it wasn't my absolute favorite place in the world, I do think it's a great alternative and I'm very interested in trying out more options from the menu! read more

I stopped into Tacotarian for something new tonight. I ordered a taco platter so that I could try three different tacos along with the rice and beans. 1. Mushroom asada 2. Jackfruit barbacoa 3. Dorado (mashed potato in a crispy shell) Each taco was good in its own right. I mean, you can't go wrong with mushrooms. Even if they're masquerading as meat. Same with jackfruit. Not a bad meat substitute. And the potato taco brought back memories. I hadn't had a taco like that in a long time. It fell apart a bit but it was tasty nonetheless. Each of the tacos were good with and without the salsa but the medium spice tomatillo salsa tied them all together. Now down to the sides, rice - average. Black beans - amazing. And a refreshing little side of dressed shredded lettuce salad. I also got a jamaica drink. And I thought the salad was refreshing. The drink was even more so. It went down way too easy. All in all, price was a bit more than I wanted to lay for vegetarian tacos. That said, I left feeling like I had a complete meal. And a good one at that. Everything was delicious. Service was good too. My meal was brought to my table along with a fork and napkins. I was actually in ths process of grabbing my own at that but it wasn't necessary because they take care of you here. The music wasn't terrible either but it could have been turned down a bit. Unfortunately, I wouldn't return. The customer service was friendly, but overall the food was disappointing. The vegan cheese had a very artificial taste, even by vegan cheese standards. I ordered a quesadilla and was surprised by how little jackfruit was included, making the portion feel small and lacking substance. My husband felt the same way about his burrito bowl--it simply didn't live up to expectations. The restaurant was busy, which may have contributed to the slow service. We ordered churros for dessert, but by the time they arrived, they were cold and hard, which was disappointing. That said, I do want to give credit where it's due: the ice cream sandwich was absolutely amazing and easily the highlight of our visit. What is there to say about a venue (all locations) that are excellent, 100% of the time. Food, ambiance, staff, & overall price (could be a little better); everything is exceptional! It's one of my favorite places to eat 50% of the week lol. Quality of ingredients (except kids chicken tenders which are frozen gardein) are so fresh. I appreciate really good vegan food and this place has it! You can't go wrong ordering anything here. However, I did try their ice cream sandwich recently. It's called churro Chata. I don't think I'll purchase it again. You may like it so give it a try and form your own opinion. But their margaritas are amazing! I suggest going when it's happy hour. I believe that's 3 to 6 Monday through Friday, but don't quote me on that. Dinner time it gets very busy here but the service is always good! They have abundant seating for everyone, inside and out, and complementary Wi-Fi. Parking is usually not an issue, but sometimes especially around dinner time it can become sparse. The veggie was good and I'd get that again as I liked all the components it had. Hubby said he would get the Baja again. The guac flavoring was off. Maybe not salty enough? Not sure - some balance was off. Service: they forgot to make our guac and we had to ask about it. But they made up for it by making it and also giving us a $5 off coupon for next time. Finally got photos before I devoured everything!! I am a fan of this spot. Full disclosure, I am not vegan but I love everything here!! Started with the queso fundido. Now iykyk most vegan cheese is weird but this is simply amazing. The texture is not gritty, its not rubbery and it literally melts like regular cheese and tastes so freakin good. My go to is the taco platter. Although the burrito is delicious but so big I cant get the elote or the chips n dip or the fundido or whatever else snack I need that day . This is a great location with ample parking and a great patio with there is warm weather. The cashier was super friendly and helpful. It wasn't crazy busy but it did take quite a while for the food to come to the table. The chips are crispy and the salsa has just the right amount of spice. So, I asked, the woman at the counter for her suggestion, she said the Chikis Chilaquiles were very popular with the added egg and meat alternative I ordered that per her suggestion and although it wasn't bad, I did not love it. I felt that the tomatillo sauce was a little overpowering. I was craving some tacos and since it was taco Tuesday this place was busy, but then again it may have just been cause it was dinner time. They have a long list of tacos to chose from with a variety of vegan and gf tacos, yes that's right we had more than two options to chose from for once. They also had nachos, burritos and so much more on the menu too. I got three tacos (they are street tacos) I got the jackfruit, chorizo and the fried potato. All were really good, the jackfruit have a little spicy kick to it, the potato was soft with the crunch outside and the chorizo was good but didn't hit quite like the others did. It is pretty thick compared to others I've had. The inside was decent size with a large patio outside. The cashier was super friendly, she was also a server as well, she was busy. This place got a little crazy though, between inside order and mobile orders the wait time was a little longer. They ran out of salsa when I was there but I didn't have any on my tacos so I was ok, but others had to wait awhile. They also take cash here so you don't have to use your card here. And the parking lot is big in a strip mall, this place is tucked in the corner but the door is to the right of it so don't pass it like I did. read more

Tacotarian is still one of my favorite places to go. I love their regular lunch and dinner menu items and their specials are always awesome but I recently have been going more often for brunch. The parking lot was really crazy this morning so I was late to pickup my online order. Juan was kind enough to offer to remake my food for me before I even had time to say anything. That was really nice of him but definitely not necessary because it was my fault that I was late. I don't know any other restaurant that would do that for me. My favorite brunch items are the breakfast sandwich and the Birria grilled cheese. Make sure not to leave without a horchata iced coffee! I still enjoy going in the afternoons/evenings as well. My first experience is through takeout. When I opened my boxes my jaw dropped. The food is beautiful first and foremost. The taste is remarkable. Its Sunday afternoon and I finally decided to try this place out and first impression was great! No crowds and I was able to get extra attention. In a nice neighborhood of retail and other restaurants space. Finding the place was not very difficult at all. Upon entering I was greeted automatically by the staff. Took my time looking at the menu while waiting for my friend. Menu was on the wall, and they had laminated menus available. This is a definitely great for vegans, vegetarian and everyone else. My friend is vegan, and I was open to any delicious and healthy. I finally ordered and I told the cashier/ host gentleman that it was my first time, and it was my friends second time. Carlos was very patient with us. I ordered 3 tacos, the Cane Asada, Al Pastor, and fish taco. To drink I tried their Pineapple Aqua fresca. I asked out kind hostess, Carlos what does mole taste like because I was questioning the plaintains con mole taco. He was very kind to let us try just the mole and plaintain and for extra he let us try the jamaica aqua which was very refreshing and definely will order it next time. Since Tacotarian opened their Henderson location, which is right down the street from my house, I've been dying to take my two best friends here, who both follow a very strict vegan diet. Pre-COVID, they've introduced me to many vegan places all around the Las Vegas valley. Sadly, I can't take them out to eat anymore because they are still taking COVID very seriously. I just couldn't wait any longer to visit Tacotarian, and I can't believe I haven't stopped in here yet! My mom wanted to meet up for lunch and I decided on here. Tacotarian can be found between Boom Bang and Toro Sushi in the Smiths shopping complex. They used to be a Starbucks, which I visited on a VERY frequent basis before COVID lockdowns went into effect and then they went out of business. To be fair, it was a little strange stepping into what used to be a coffee shop. Now, let me tell you how excellent their food was! I ordered their chips and salsa and a fish taco, with a Sprite to cool down with, and my mom ordered their chimichanga burrito with rice and beans on the side. Their chimichanga burrito is HUGE. It was so huge that my mom wanted me to share it with her. Everything that we ordered was just full of flavor. I already want to come back because I was so impressed with the quality of the food and the service. I like that they have a spacious patio, but with the excessive heat warning currently in effect, it was much too hot to sit outside. Instead, we sat in the cool interior at a cozy booth. If I could give Tacotarian more than 5 stars, I would. Will recommend to everyone I know, vegan or non-vegan. read more
