This place was a disaster and absolutely disgusting. Felt like I was having a 3rd world experience. The place was gross. Window glass is cracked in several places. Place looks like an afterthought. Pieced together. The music was annoying teen pop. When the food came over, I've never wanted to say I'd rather not pay for this food because it looks horrific, but I really wanted to. Mint leaves were brown on the sides. Cups weren't clean. Fork didn't look that clean. Food tastes straight up gross like there was no seasonings and the food pieces just did not go well together. I wanted to ask for my money back but felt bad because I've never wanted to do that before. Ended up throwing most of it away. Other reviews said similar stuff and they were right. Sushi might be okay but I didn't try it. Ended up with a bloated stomach for a day or two from the beans and/or bean sprouts from it and the taste was just terrible. As a previous vegan food lover for years, I cannot recommend this place at all nor would I wish anyone I know to go here. Overall nasty. Save your money. read more

Many things could improve I'm afraid. We have been to this restaurant before but this was not a good experience. Tammy was friendly but wow, it took a long time to order in a place with only 2 clients in house. My $14 chicken salad (which they charged me $14.50 for) was on a small saucer with 4 thin slices each of cucumber and tomatoes around it and about 3/4 cup of other content inside. That included the chicken, bean sprouts, picked jicama, cabbage and lettuce. Think not much larger than a coffee cup plate . My partner did have a good portion and good tasting spicy basil, mixed veggie plate that he enjoyed. When the bill came, all items were listed as .$20 to $.50 higher than the menu stated. When I questioned this, I was told that the listed menu prices are cash prices and this was the credit card price. This is added to the sign that said 3% off for cash transaction. To me this math does not add and I don't like getting nickel and dimed with bad business practices We did like this restaurant, but I think this might be our last visit. Good luck to the new owner. Another vegan spot with plenty of options and variety to choose from for our vegan friend. We came for a late lunch, so it wasn't too busy. Friend and I split the tofu spring roll ($9) and shrimp pad thai ($15). We picked shrimp for the pad thai, so we picked a different protein -- tofu -- for the spring roll. Friend #2 ordered Vietnamese coffee ($5.50) and I had some of that later that night for a caffeine boost. The spring roll was refreshing and we liked the dipping sauce it came with. The shrimp pad thai, however, had way too much sauce for a pad thai dish and it overpowered the taste of the noodles. The other thing that bothered me that I didn't notice until we got home was that they charge a 3% credit card surcharge. It was not disclosed on the menu, on the bill, nor on the payment terminal when we went to go pay. The surcharge is based on the full total of subtotal, tax and tip. Have been eating here for 10 years....i like the new menu items but dislike that they're changing old things, like the "beef".... It's like a sponge now, feels and looks like a sponge. Feels as if I could chew it for days and it'd never break down. Such a weird texture. Thankfully my waitress was amazing and she gave me a heads up that the meat had changed prior to me ordering. I wanted to be open minded so I decided to order the same dish I've been eating for years ....now I'll probably never order that again. She recommend the vegan mozzarella sticks and they were great. I forgot her name but I think it's Kierra/sierra ..she was an excellent server and brought me out extra veggies because the Mongolian beef dish was lacking veggies. She was so friendly, accommodating, and polite. An updated menu with accurate pics would also help. Service was good. Cucumber water was a pleasant surprise. My friend and I had the chicken wings and both got the buffet. All of the food we tried was good, it was unfortunate that everything was running really low and it didn't get restocked until the end of our meal. I wasn't a fan of the sushi roll offered (dragon I think?) I think it was a little hard from being left out too long. I would go back but I'd go for the options on the menu. BBQ Pork Bao 5/5 - this was AMAZING! - the mustard greens added a good sour to balance the BBQ 'pork' sweetness - texture of BBQ pork was spot on, like a melt in your mouth pork belly - BBQ sauce was fragrant, just a hint of soy smokiness and balanced well with the mustard green - the peanuts added a great texture - bao was well steamed Overall, really happy with my experience here. Why do vegans think you must be vegan to enjoy vegan fare? Then comes the line "My boyfriend _______ really enjoyed the food here, AND HE'S NOT VEGAN!! Wow! We have a close comrade named Ben Franklin who has come to VeggiEAT at least twice a week since they opened. He has the buffet every weekday (m-th 11:30-4:30) and swears by the vegan sushi. You guessed it, Ben is not vegan. I didn't try the sushi, I ate salad fixings after I filled up on potstickers and eggrolls. Other than that, Ben is correct, everything in here tastes great and it will run you around $20 a person. Ben's friend, Carlton, joins Ben once a week and tells the same stale Dad joke every visit. "I got my first digital watch last week. When I check the time and it's 6:06, I think it could be 9:09, so I have to wait one minute and check again!!" They have a great greeting at the door and the people are friendly and helpful. There was a photographer there, ya know, take your picture for $10. Not sure if he was supposed to be or not. We declined. It's a small to medium sized eatery. Very comfortable, but I can see how it might get busy at peak times. My husband who is vegan, and I visited Lake Las Vegas and I found VeggiEat on yelp and the high ratings brought us in. It did not disappoint. The menu was extensive. The owner, Victoria, came to our table to greet us and gave us a sample of the chicken and ribs. Wow! So good. We went with the Chicken Salad and Basil Chicken. The portions were humongous. We saved our leftovers for dinner on our flight back later that day. The food was so tasty and bursting w/ flavor. Victoria checked in w/ us again and we had a nice chat sharing stories about Hawaii. We're so happy for Victoria. She works hard, puts out great food and is a gracious host. She deserves all the success (and more) she is blessed with. We will definitely be back! A hui ho! read more

There were five of us and we all had the buffet (rims seven days a week for a very good price. Everyone had a favorite out of all the choices. My favorite was the kung pao chicken. The vegan meat has a nice char like it was grilled. The sauces in all the dishes were on point. There was a curry soup that was great eaten with rice. There were four different sushi choices and the toppings were generous and flavors were great . We were greeted when we entered and checked on by the host/waitress through out the meal. The owner even came out to check in with us. The dining room is spacious and clean. Definitely a great place to bring vegan and non vegan and the flavors would still appeal to everyone read more

My husband and I love this Vegan spot, first because it's very close to our home, second the food is good, and third, the new owner is amazing...however, our recent experience yesterday was horrible. My mother in-law is in town and she's vegan so I was very excited to bring her to my vegan spot after we finished shopping in the area. The service from one of the waitresses messed up our whole evening. We arrived at 3:15pm and finally checked outed at 5:45pm. 1. The waitress needs more training in overall customer service. 2. I dislike when non-Black employees communicate with me as if we're familiars. They tend to lower their professionalism and provide subpar service than with other customers who are non-Black, which is how we were treated by this particular waitress. 3. I specifically told the waitress to just put in our appetizer orders since my mother and niece were not ready to order their main course. 4. She brings out the appetizer with no utensils or napkins or plates. She just brings the wings and one sauce on the table. 5. Then she brings out my main course after I specifically asked her not to put my order in until we were all ready to order the main courses. So now we have one main course at the table, so she puts in the other orders (we all ordered the same meal- the crispy chicken sandwich and fries...and it NEVER arrived, and after 30 minutes waiting for a chicken sandwich and fries, I finally ask about our orders, and the owner comes to the table and takes full responsibility of the waitresses error. The waitress never came to our table to check on us during that time, nor noticed that our food hasn't been served nor apologized for her error. She just kept her distance and we were given another waitress. The new appointed waitress was great, no complaints. We hope that we never have this experience again because we plan to continue patronizing this business because of the convenience, atmosphere, and good food. read more

I came across this place while looking for a Vegan restaurant in the Henderson area. The reviews were good and the photos looked even better. I started with the (4) Pot Stickers filled with mushrooms, cabbage and zucchini. They were accompanied by a dipping sauce, which, wasn't too salty or sweet but just right. The Pot Stickers were amazing. They were light, airy, had fresh ingredients and were packed with bold flavors I also had the (8) piece gluten-free rainbow sushi roll without rice, and the General Tsao Mushroom dish with Red Bell Peppers, Celery and broccoli. The roll tasted great. It was fresh, light and had all the flavors one might expect from a regular sushi roll. The outside was wrapped in cucumbers, which were thinly sliced making for a perfect and delicious bite. The mushroom dish was outstanding. The mushrooms were large and the portion size was more than adequate. It had an abundance of flavor and was perfectly seasoned. I found all the dishes were priced accordingly based on the portions offered. While there, the owner, Victoria, stopped by to chat while inquiring about the satisfaction of my meal. I found her to be a remarkable woman with a rich personal history. She's a self-taught Chef and one who's had a passion for cooking since coming to Las Vegas almost thirty years ago. If there was ever a question as to why the food here taste so great, It's been answered. Victoria. Overall, the food met my expectations and to some degree exceeded them. Second time here, the first time a friend paid so I didn't leave a review... But the server never came over to check on us, I wanted to make sure that none of the meats had mushrooms, Yes, we should have asked before we ordered but the mushrooms is a new allergy so I am not used to asking + I assume a lot.... which I should never do! Just "WOW"! The Vegan lunch buffet is tiny by Las Vegas standards but every hot dish we tried was Asian flavored and oh so delicious. We also tried the freshly made two different sushi rolls they had and you'd swear you were eating real Shrimp Tempura sushi. The cold, salad area of the buffet was underwhelming so it was avoided it. We would have liked to see at least one dessert offering like a scoop of homemade lemon sorbet to cleanse the palette or grilled pineapple slices with maple syrup. The menu is out of date and needs a facelift. Friendly staff said the buffet has different dishes on the buffet every single day so we will definitely be back. Went here with a friend today for the 1st time. I had the Tofu Spring Rolls and the Crunchy Shrimp Sushi. The Spring Rolls were good although a bit dry and I did not like the Peanut sauce so used some Spicy Mayo and Soy Sauce instead. This Restaurant is All Vegan so they need to change their sign. I also suggest writing on the menu that all meat and seafood is Faux or Imitation. We were the first ones in the restaurant and the service started slowly. After bringing our water, we had to get the girls attention to order. Later, a really nice lady let us try a few of the foods from the Buffet area. Truthfully, I find the prices a bit high especially when Rice costs extra when served with a meal. My friend is not Vegan so only ordered French Fries, as, she believed, they had Vegetarian options. I've been here twice and unfortunately had complete polar opposite visits both times. Our first visit was great. We were seated as soon as we walked in the door. Service was friendly and the food came out fairly quickly. The food was very good. The potstickers tasted fresh and were the perfect temperature. Our first visit was around noon on a week day. It was great and I was happy to finally find a place where I could literally eat anything on the menu. Our second visit was a complete disappointment. We were seated as soon as we walked in the door. However, service for us was extremely slow. We received our water fast, but our server didn't come back to take our order for at least 25-30 minutes. We were beyond frustrated and about to walk out, then our server finally came over to take our order. Sadly, the long wait wasn't over... Our food took quite a while to reach our table, and it all arrived separately. My sons buffalo wings arrived first, 10 minutes later our appetizer arrived at the same time with my entree. The last entree arrived at the table 15 minutes after that. To top things off, I felt the food was rushed and lacking quality. My son's buffalo wings were overcooked and tasted dry (photo attached). My mushroom Udon noodles didn't have much flavor, and the potstickers were cold. As for the vibe of the place. It has a typical take-out style with a mixture of quirky and interesting decor. I loved seeing the money tree, pretty cool. Overall, I really have mixed feelings about this place now and don't think I'll come back. Had this last weekend with my sister, we try a new vegan restaurant every time I come thru town and this has been on our list for a while. Amazing and thoughtful service, made sure we had everything we needed. Big portions, and the orange chicken and kung pao beef honestly freaked us out with how real it tasted - this isn't Gardein out of the bag, that is for sure. We had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the buffet to be ready. It was ready about noon. The food ran out with only 5 diners in the restaurant. The breaded fried sweet n sour cauliflower was delicious but was not refilled and we just couldn't wait any longer, already 15 minutes and was told it was being made. The fried tofu also ran out and we couldn't wait any longer for that. The rice noodles and fried brown rice were refilled though only half empty. The szechan eggplant was tasty. The sushi was a nice touch but seemed dried out on the exterior. The chia seed pudding, yum! Grapes, pineapple and honeydew were fresh. The Tom Yum soup was some of the best we've had but it's challenging to get filled up on. We left not full, strange for a buffet. I prefer not to fill up on rice noodles and brown rice. At $18.50 a person this was not worth it. The server gave a 10% discount when we asked, expressing our disappointment. There are other Asian restaurants with. While I'm not satisfied with my food that I got, I know there may have been some factors. I know my partner and I ordered in the last 30 minutes, but our food came out haphazardly, clearly with no care in its packaging or how it was put together (my box opened and spilled into the bag as we left). We did ask if it would be better to come back another day. I get it, if the kitchen is already closing, let your customers know. We did get offered to dine in, but we didn't, and even tipped 20% on a to-go order. Food took the 30 minutes to closing for it to get out to us, and I wouldn't even say the Banh Mi didn't have the expected toppings for what I'd call a banh mi. Would love to give another chance, but chances are looking slim. Honesty is the best policy, and if you're shutting down for the night, just tell your customers instead of putting up a bad showing.
