Very unassuming. Don't let it scare you away. Been here a few times and it is always great. The service is quick and friendly, whether eat in or take out. As in most Mexican restaurants, they provide tortilla chips gratis, along with a couple of freshly made salsas. Everything we've had here, tacos, salads, tortas, Horchata, burritos, etc, all delicious. We much prefer the small family-like atmosphere here versus some of the other more mainstream places. You won't be disappointed.

I had a craving for tacos and this place was near by, so I decided to try it for a quick dinner. Driving in there was a good amount of parking but pretty small. Looks like they have some outdoor seating also. Walking in the restaurant looks like there are two entrances. The restaurant is small but comfortable. The entrance I walked into, I had to walk down to the counter to get a table. The host was nice and I was seated right away. They have many things on the menu but I wanted to try the Birria tacos. I ordered it and the waitress serve me chips and fresh salsa. The tacos came out pretty quickly and it was delicious. I love the fresh onions and cilantro. I also love dipping the tacos in the consomé. I was full with the tacos and chips that were served. I ordered tres Leche cake to go. The cake was not too sweet and delicious. Happy I found this place and looking forward on going back.

I came here with a few coworkers yesterday and had a great experience. For starters, the servers quickly take food orders and bring drinks and chips so quickly. They definitely have the lunch momentum for everyone that has short lunch breaks. The chips salsa and smooth guacamole sauce are free and is amazing. One of the best salsas I've encountered. I also tried the caldo de rez with rice. I ordered a small and it was enormous. I would definitely come back to try more menu options as one of my coworkers tried the burrito and it was massive and she said very tasty. Thanks Tacos Mi Nacho!

Wow what a random gem - we stopped for a quick bite along our way to Boston from NJ, and chose to come back on our way home. It was that good we didn't want anything else! Highly recommend the Caldo De Res (stew), it's hearty, delicious, and amazing value. I also recommend the quesadillas, tacos, and burritos! We also loved the Horchata, which is a perfect drink if you are eating something spicy! Service is friendly, and the space is clean and comfortable. This place is nothing over the top from the outside but truly worth a visit. If you are looking for something to add to your travel route or are in the area - go to Tacos Mi Nacho!

My wife and I have been unabashed fans of their Meriden location for many years so it should come as little surprise to anyone that we eventually found our way to this recently opened spinoff.  What proved to be a surprise was the unoccupied table we found on a busy Friday night. Our server arrived bearing gifts of taco chips and 3 types of salsa along with menus. My wife went bold by ordering a burrito with chicken while I followed the road to gluttony by choosing a trio of al pastor tacos along with an unneeded side of Spanish rice. The chicken burrito ended up being too much for the lovely senora so 1/2 was boxed up and served as "our" lunch the following day, that being a Saturday for those without calendars. It was deemed to be pretty good by the pretty senora while my almost untouched Spanish rice was found to be only fair. On the other hand, the one left of center, street tacos were pretty good, certainly not the best ever encountered, but far, yes far, better than 94.5% of all Mexican restaurants currently residing in the Nutmeg state.

If you love tacos and you love going to the movies...like we do, then this is your place! We have been here 2x, and the staff is kind, and food comes out quickly... we have loved everything we've tried, very authentic!

Sparse decoration and the kitchen takes up a majority of the tiny space. There are tables, but it's very much a To-go place. We ordered some tamales, some tacos and some chips. Went to the salsa bar and got a bunch of sauces to try. Drove to a parking lot to take pics and dig in. The tacos were a little overcooked and under seasoned. They tasted good and were dressed simply. They all needed salsa to really shine. The chorizo was the best bite. Just enough spice and seasoning to stand well on its own. The weakest being the ground beef, which was dry and not seasoned beef. The tamale was good, cooked in a banana leaf, good masa and the mole filling was hot and sweet which chicken used as the protein. A well balanced bite. The chips and salsa were basic but plentiful. Price was reasonable given the quality. It's not a date night Mexican place. It's a place for regular folk to get decent Mexican fare at decent prices, good portions, and basic but executed well tacos. It's great for those who are around the area, but not a space I would try to hunt down

I opted to order a couple tacos to-go and try their chicken and mole tamale on special. Wow!! The proteins were cooked perfectly with flavor - so all the taco needed was cilantro and onion - like they are supposed to be done. The tamale was probably the best I have ever had. Using a black mole inside the tamale the chicken was moist and tender. My favorite value was the salsa bar - at no additional cost you can choose from about 6 different salsas, from a variety of spicy levels and flavors. Also included is Jalepano, radishes and some other small things. A great idea that adds true value to the customer. Overall this is a taqueria that I will drive to!!! When I am in the mood for tacos I am here. I should also mention they do have a full Mexican menu with entrees and such. So many items to try to keep you coming back.

Okay, so at first, I wasn't planning to write any more reviews for the foreseeable future. Just…read morebecause I wrote one review recently didn't quite mean I was warmed back up to Yelp just yet, and if I'm being honest, I'm still not. Between a removed review causing me to go missing from Yelp for 6 months and losing my trust in posting my reviews here on Yelp, I let go of my Elite status and am now back to square one. But after driving my mom to Manor Inn so she could attend an event there, I decided to look up spots around there since I did spot that their wait times were going to be extensive. That's when I decided to go here and see what was good. Honestly, after I encountered the parking situations in both places and went into the restaurant, I knew I had made the right call. I was seated immediately, given a menu, and even given some complimentary chips, salsa, and a plate of refried beans sprinkled with some cheese. Now, refried beans and salsa are not foods I would normally eat because my food palette don't usually like those items. But with these tortilla chips, they were both very flavorful, and given this was complimentary, they were all the more appetizing. I should also mention that my waitress, Sayda, was very nice and prompt whenever she came to my table. Answered any questions I had, and had no problem with my orders. So from the menu, I went with the Tropical Twist, their Calamari for an appetizer, the tacos de barrio for dinner, and even ordered churros to go so I have something for when Winter Storm Fern dumps 80 million inches of snow tomorrow and into the next day. Oh, might I say, everything was delicious! I knew I couldn't have alcohol because I still had to pick my mom back up and then drive back home to Waterbury, but that Tropical Twist was a nice consolation if you can't have alcohol. The fried calamari was also another great choice. That dip it came with was so addictive it was like crack, and the perfect thing to pair with fried calamari. If there's one thing I would say could be improved, it's that they could be just a smidge more liberal with the fried coating. There were some pieces that had some small spots that had no coating at all, but nothing too major. For the tacos, MMM MMM GOOD! The meat was tender and flavorful, the presentation was great, and the consome paired deliciously with the tacos. It's definitely worth the $20 they cost. The churros were also pretty good. I can't say they were the best churros I ever had because the place that made my favorite churros ever closed down back in 2024 and had since become a dog grooming place, but if not for that, then I might make a case for that statement to be true. The chocolate syrup it comes with is divine and a nice sweet treat to finish off the night. I was in and out of the place in maybe a slight smidge above half an hour, so I would say all-in-all I'm glad I came. The place is also well decorated, bathrooms are clean, and the ambiance is inviting and casual. Now, I may still need to gatekeep a few reviews here and there, but this place was a step in the right direction in getting my confidence back in Yelp. I would definitely come back here again whenever I get a chance, and I highly recommend coming to check out this place if you're in the area. Oh, and for comparison's sake, it was an hour and a half between when I was finished here and when I could finally pick my mom back up again from Manor Inn. Take that as you will.

I called ahead to make sure they made their own michelada mix, which did not disappoint. It was more on the tangier side but delicious nonetheless. I got their chicken mole which came with white rice, different than any other mole dishes I've had before. Their white rice was some of the best I've ever had- to say the least. The refried beans were delicious (they served me tortilla chips with salsa and refried beans as soon as I sat down). The mole was a good sauce, certainly on the spicier side - hot and strong spice favor. Everything was good, I could see myself going back for a michelada and trying other things off their menu next time. I definitely won't pass up on their in restaurant fried tortilla chips, that's for sure, they were delicious. Thank you Loteria!

There was a couple of decorations & on their wall was food awards including 1 from Yelp. The food overall was solid. The quesadilla was flavorful and pretty tasty, but I do wish it had more shrimp. I even paid for extra shrimp & there still wasn't enough. It was more cheesy than anything. The rice was good & the beans had shredded, melted cheese on top which I love. The flan, however, wasn't good for me. It didn't really hit & was kind of disappointing. It lacked flavor & its consistency was off. I really liked their salsa verde sauce (it had gr8 flavor & a nice kick). The only downside was that everything came separate & nothing came w/ the order(no chips or extras)so it felt a little basic compared to other spots.
