    Birria tacos
    Kim U.

Been wanting to try this place myself. My kids have eaten their food many times and love it! Tonight I tried the Birria tacos and the Carne Asada tacos. Both were very good. Nicely flavored and the accompanying green sauce was very good too! Def will order from there again. We did an order pickup but the staff was very nice n the phone and in person. Recommend you check them out!

I frequently cover tacos in my Food Blog, and one day, one of the friends of the Blog said, you shouldn't be going to X, you should be going to Don Taco. Since I am one of the more trusting people when it comes to Food Recs, I vowed to visit. And I did visit earlier this year. I'm glad I did. Don Taco is up there with Hartford County's best. I arrived early on a Sunday. In fact, a bit before they were even open because I didn't notice that they open later on Sundays. In any event, they were nice enough to serve me and I got a chance to visit with one of the owners, whose name I forget, but he was very nice and he shared a lot about their business and his background. The taqueria serves a number of different things. I was there for tacos. They had a cool hidden condiment bar, which I loved. The restaurant is small, but there is some seating. I ordered a shrimp taco, pastor taco and carne asada taco. Each was great. The shrimp was tender to the bite. The meats had great texture and flavor. I liked that the tacos didn't all have the same filling. The pastor had huge pineapple chunks in addition to cilantro and onions. The shrimp had some type of alt crunchy slaw. Jicama maybe? The carne asada was more traditional with chopped onions and cilantro. The salsas were very tasty. All first rate. They also made fresh chips for me. Love Don Taco. I'm due for a return visit. If you haven't been, you should go. 5 Stars

Tried a new place for National Taco day on taco Tuesday. The birria tacos were outstanding. The empanada was different from what I'm use to but also very good. Churros are crunchy sweet and yummy dipped in caramel sauce. Great customer service. Very nice people. I will be back.

Amazing food and prices. Such a hike in the wall and the staff is so friendly. Great service. And the take out is just as good as eating in.

Order showed up REALLY quick which made me wonder if the food was fresh prepped or if it was made ahead of time and heated up. Everything seemed fresh enough so I honestly have no idea. We ordered some chicken burritos, an Al Pastor burrito, a bacon cheeseburger deluxe and some guac with chips. The food - The guac was honestly the best I've had out. Very impressed by it and would give it a 5 all day long and into the night. Very tasty indeed. Chunks of everything and not just a smooth paste. The bacon cheeseburger was really good as well. Fresh tasting beef, nice bun. Overall it was a good burger. Easily better than most dedicated pizza joint burger platters. The fries were big and fluffy. Not as crunchy as I'd like but still really tasty. Here's where it takes a turn. The burritos were not great. They weren't terrible but I would never order them again. All burritos were really bland and the rice inside was overcooked so they were kind of a mushy mess. The chicken was a bit dry and flavorless. The Al Pastor just tasted like pineapple because there were actual chunks of pineapple inside the burrito. I LOVE a good Al Pastor but this was not a good one. Overall really disappointed in the burritos. I would probably put them slightly below taco bell in terms of burrito quality. Price to portion size seemed a bit off too. The couple Mexican places we frequent seem to offer nearly double the size of the burritos for around the same price if not a little cheaper. Based on this experience I probably will only order from PO if other places are closed as was the case tonight. Overall just OK but can't seem to compete with some of the others in and around Bristol.

Not all cheeseburgers feature melty slices. The Black and Blue Burger featured Crumbled Blue Cheese, Pickled Red Onions, Smoked Bacon and Chipotle Aioli, on Toasted Brioche. The burger was huge and well cooked. So juicy it dripped. A flavor bomb. I also ordered the famous Kitchen Sink wings for the table, along with a side of Blue Cheese AND Ranch. The wings were super juicy. Top Tier Juicy. But the outer texture was still appropriately crisp. The sauce was sweet and savory, with a little bit of heat. Great wings. And the side sauces were terrific too. Service was very good. The atmosphere was terrific. Everyone enjoyed their orders. 4.5 Stars
