I know about fish and shrimp tacos because my home town and my mom raised the bar too high and I have to say the tacos here are really yummy. My favorite are the shrimp tacos. Their ice tea is delicious (Mexicali style). Be aware of the salsa as it is very hot, I enjoy it, but I know some others might find it too spicy. This is the only place with good tacos de pescado. Their ceviche is not that great, is rubbery and too bitter from the type of lemon they use, but the tacos are very good. This is very similar to mexicali fish tacos. read more

Wow I don't know what happened. I read the reviews expecting great things and I got a couple burnt shrimp on a soggy corn tortilla. The fish taco was only slightly better. The menu has three items: a fish taco, a shrimp taco and a stingray taco. No sides. They do have pico de gallo which is good but only one salsa on the salsa bar. This place is the best taco place I have been to, hands down. They have fish tacos, shrimp tacos, and a few other specialty seafood tacos and ceviche tostadas. One of my favorite things about this place is that they have a condiments bar where you can prepare your tacos just how you want them, extra salsa or cream, no problem! I must admit, I was a bit skeptic going to a fish taco place in El Centro which is more inland from the sea than I'm comfortable with, but I'm glad I put my fears aside and went. The place itself is located in a strip mall with a barebone interior and no frill seating. I ordered 3 fish tacos and was surprised to see that each taco had a huge pile of deep fried fish tucked inside. There is a condiment bar which consists of cabbage, pico de gallo, pickled onions, mayo (a must for fish tacos), and salsa so hot that it has a warning sign on it. One tiny taste of the salsa was enough for me, so I stuck with Tapatio. Amazing value, you can either get tacos or ceviche made with either fish ($2) or shrimp ($3). Id say the fish tacos are the way to go- they're big, juicy and delicious, and you only need two for a meal. Their hot sauce has a sign over it that says "caution: very spicy" and I didn't heed the warning because I usually have a very high tolerance for spicy food. I realized pretty quickly I made a huge mistake, but they don't serve water there, you have to buy a bottle of water. Fish tacos served were soggy and wilted they tasted like they were reheated from the day before.
