Food was not good. A taco of carnitas was ok but you have to put your own cilantro and onions on it yourself. We both ordered Chile relleno plates and my plate was cold. The cheese was not melted. I had to send it back. We were sitting in the restaurant eating and noticed that they bring the food from building next door. I didn't like the place. Workers were nice but for not being busy place you have to catch their attention for anything else you might need. Don't waste your time and money here. Sadly I have to not recommend it! read more

I went yesterday for lunch ordered a Carne Asada salad, although the presentation was nice the quality of the meat. I wouldn't feed that meat to my huskies. For the price I paid I should've gone somewhere else. Just 30 minutes ago I went back this time for a Carne asada burrito because those normally are good. But again the quality of the meat is horrendous. The lady at the drive up window wasn't courteous at all, they charge extra for one more salsa container. Again for the price I am paying for the burrito which obviously has gone up. They should throw in an extra one. It's just a salsa. Will never go back. I stood several minutes while the hostess didn't even notice or come up when i entered. They wanted to charge me for ice, no military discount, one plate of Menudo just under $12 and it was like canned menudo. Flies all over the place, couldn't eat in peace. It was dirty and unsanitary. This review has nothing to do with COVID and everything to do with just flat out rudeness and lack of customer service. 4 years ago, this was our normal pit stop. Now, I'm officially done. I must've said "excuse me" three or four times to passing employees with zero acknowledgement. I finally turned around and hesitantly asked employees that appeared to be on a break if someone was working the counter. One of them very rudely responded to "ring the bell like the sign said". First there is no sign. There is simply a bell. Secondly, after ringing it, I still waited at least 3 minutes to even be acknowledged. The only reason for 2 stars is one one of the employees approached me to ask if I needed help while writing this review. With that said, I HAVE been waiting 20 minutes for two bean and cheese burritos....You also have to pay $ .14 a piece for salsa if you want more than one small cup for your entire burrito. We will not be returning again. This is an end of the era for this join and our family. read more

Service seriously lacking. We went through their drive through and had to park and wait for our food. Difficult time communicating our order. 3 Carne Asadas ( 2 wet w/ enchilada sauce) order of rolled tacos & a California burrito. The wait time was about 15 minutes. Food arrived hot and fresh, that was the only plus. Carne meat was pretty charred and not a lot of marinated flavor. The wet burritos, we couldn't even cut through the flour tortilla? No guacamole inside the burritos?! It was the imitation quac served in small salsa cups on the side. No Pico de Gallo inside burrito. Shredded lettuce, slice of tomato & red onion was served on the side of the "wet burritos". California burrito was average as well as the rolled tacos. The best thing tasted that I enjoyed was the enchiladas sauce. Salsas offered and just ok. I'd say the stand out one was the green. They do offer carrots, if you request them. We're from San Diego so we know good taco shop and boy was this place hitting . The staff was also soooo sweet and attentive. As I was waiting on two burritos in their lobby for over 45 minutes, I observed a handful of customers come in and out with different objections. Do not go to this cheap ass place. Paying customer, yet couldn't use their restrooms. Ordered 3 tacos de asada and asked for them separated (1 for my friend, 2 for myself) for my friend, yet they lumped them all together into one small piece of aluminum foil. I asked for plates and they charged me extra for them. The tortillas were cold and dry. Seems like they took them out of the fridge and put them on the comal for a few seconds. Walked into this place right after a 3 hour border crossing wait time. Customer service lacking big time. Two woman talking behind the counter did not say hello or welcome or anything. This crappy looking little Mexican-style drive-thru on the corner is actually a pretty decent little restaurant, and you can go inside. They have a fairly broad menu of very credible food made with care from honest ingredients. And even if it isn't on the menu, they'll probably make it for you if you're nice.
