Average guacamole with unheated chips, the chips were as cold and very thick with no flavor
    Eric R.

Probably one of the worst experiences in my lifetime with a restaurant. First the place should not have opened today. They had no heat. Every single table sat with their coats on. I guess management was so desperate for some dollars they opened up they should've been takeout only definitely this left not just a bad taste in my mouth, but a distain for management of this location. Now, let's talk about the service and the food. One waiter for 15 tables he ran ragged. I added a customized item which I never got. I didn't even bother asking him because I've asked him several times to turn off the fan at least if we didn't have cold air blowing on us which was ignored. It would've been at least tolerable, but I guess he didn't give a crap. The Next the price for 1 taco mini $6.50. Are you kidding me for a 1 inch piece of fish and a piece of taco are you kidding me? Don't just drive past drive past but go to every single taco stand in America because this place is so overpriced, underseasoned, slow delivery .....horrible horrible horrible

Pleasant surprise stumbling upon this place! I stopped in for lunch, we started with chips & guac along with the queso fundido. The Guac was good but could be a little more flavorful. The Queso was the typical queso but having the topping options was great, we did carbe asada and it was really good. For the entree, we went with the chicken torta. Usually they are really toasted and crispy but they don't toast their bread much. Besides that, the inside was really good, I ate it with out the top half of the bread. Their house drinks are delicious. We had the agua de jamaica and lemonade. We loved both. The service is amazing, our server was very attentive, we had nice conversations and the manager or owner also came over and introduced himself and shared some of the business plans coming soon such as alcoholic beverages and happy hour specials. The music was authentic Mexican music playing while we were there which I loved, it makes the experience better in my opinion. Overall, I would be coming because there are many more items on the menu that caught my eye and it's down the street from my job. Tips for the business maybe test out adding more to the guac for the flavor, heat the queso a little more so it's completely melted, and ask for how toasted the customer would like their bread when ordering tortas.

The chorizo pulpo taco was my favorite but the aguachile was fresh and flavorful and the birria tacos were also delicious.

The music is good and lively and the ambiance is fun to go out on a Saturday night on Long Island. They have some beer on tap and my husband liked how they had an ipa option. The margarita selection is also awesome and there were so many I wanted to try. I really enjoyed my spicy watermelon margarita. I also really enjoyed the black bean taco. However, I didn't really enjoy my other tacos I ordered. The sauce was often too much to the point that the taco was soggy which is a big turnoff for me. I also didn't like the carne asada taco when I almost always do because I didn't like the green sauce when I almost always do at other Mexican places. The guacamole also appears to be premade, in that we couldn't order it without tomatoes and we couldn't customize how spicy it was. It wasn't bad tasting though, just tasted like something I'd get at the grocery store. Overall good drinks spot! And a good black bean taco. Would pass on any of the other food I tried there though.

The chicarone was a bit tough in my opinion but still delicious. The gentlemen giving me my order was kind too. Highly recommend this place!

We were greeted by Adam and told to sit where we'd like. I want to point out that Adam is pleasant and shows commitment to customer service. However I can't say that we had the best experience. We were seated 10-15 minutes before our order was taken. We placed the food and drink order together as we had plenty of time to decide. We waited forty minutes to get 5 tacos. The small basket of fries came around twenty minutes before the tacos. They were clearly understaffed for the day. Back to Adam. Good guy but he was clearly under the weather. Sniffling repeatedly while attempting to attend to customers. He should have been relegated to custodial duties and limited customer interaction. At a minimum wear a mask as he was talking directly to customers and delivering food to the tables. The tacos were good. We tried the Korean beef bbq, chicken Al pastor, Baja fish, Surf and Turf and the Falafel. Not great but tasty. Fries were good as well. I think the chicken Al pastor was the best. Not ruling them out but uncertain about a return.

For my order I went with a trio of tacos - al pastor, coconut shrimp (both of these were listed as signature items) and the crispy fish. The Al Pastor was the best of them, but overall the tacos were on the sweet side probably due to the condiments and additions of onions and corn that were pickled. Glad they have hot sauces on the table to bring need heat. I got a side salad with this - I would say this is bit of afterthought lettuce with 3 pieces of cucumber and tomato each there wasn't much to it. I tried the Carne Asada bowl - again a bit on the sweet side, but they give a good amount of food. They use a cheese blend and I think one of them is a parmesan because it tasted a bit out of place. We ordered a piece of tres leches and it had a maple flavor that was unexpected. It took me a second, but I placed that it reminded me of a discontinued Entenmann's cake that I think was maple walnut iced cake. If you remember that and miss it then get this. I enjoyed this non-traditional version. Although not the best Mexican food I would come back here and perhaps try other items on the menu since it seems inventive, but I will keep my expectations in check because the execution doesn't always hit the mark.

Some of the tacos were done well, particularly the crispy fish taco and crunchy shrimp tacos. The chicken taco and birria tacos were also not bad mostly because they had enough sauce to keep it moist. The Al pastor steak taco unfortunately we would probably avoid in the future. The steak was dry and the taco was just not moist enough to eat happily. We had a side of nachos which was great and also the street corn side as a dip was also delicious. The jalapeño poppers had a good crunch, however, it lacked any spice at all and tasted almost like a regular fried green pepper. Even though we ordered out, the ambiance seemed nice inside and also kid friendly. We may return in the future to try other menu items.

The chicken burrito was packed with fresh ingredients (although I would have liked more chicken); the $2.00 surcharge for adding hefty avocado slices was well worth it. Soft tacos wrapped in corn tortillas made with large seared shrimp were delicious. I liked that they didn't use too much cojita cheese in the tacos, but plenty of healthy avo.
