Visit Date: January 9, 2026 I came to Yucatan with a few of my friends for dinner. I got the birria tacos which were way better than birria tacos I had previously bought off a taco truck. The dip and the tacos and the fixings and the meat for the birria tacos were all an incredible mix of taco goodness. I got a cup of coffee which was also very good. The atmosphere of the restaurant was awesome I felt like I was in Mexico it was really cool. The service and the staff were great. They let us stay at our table for a long time after we were done eating to hang out. I would come here again this is a great place! read more

Very good mexican food, I believe there are new owners. The put Mariscada on the menu which we good but the clams were so small I couldn't find a single one in my dish, all the other dishes were great! Guac was some of the best we have had. Service people were very nice but overwhelmed so it was slow. But we'll be back! read more

Went here for the first time. Really cute place, super friendly service. Chips and salsa were promptly served, and were decent. Jalapeño poppers were run of the mill frozen fried, nothing special. I ordered the chimichanga and it was served as 3 mini chimis, which is fine. Presentation was lovely, however the chicken was bland, almost like someone forgot to season it. My husband got the flautas and felt the same way, but he said the chicken was dry, which mine wasn't. Rice and beans were good. Service was a little slow, but again, very lovely server. I don't expect my Mexican food spicy like Tex mex, but I expect flavor. Looking at the other reviews, maybe it was an off day? Prices were reasonable. Four stars is for the lovely server and the atmosphere. read more

We entered we were greeted with a smile and he let us choose our seat. We were given menus and chips and salsa. The salsa was perfection flavor and a mild spice. We ordered the melted cheese pan and it was delicious. I ordered flautas that were crispy, juicy chicken with soft yellow rice and refried beans. My husband ordered birria tacos with consume. Finger licking good! We were so full but we would have ordered dessert! read more

Fairly new. While the service was attentive the menu was very typical Mexican. That being said I was disappointed to see items like Caesar Salad, fried Calamari,Wings, Ribeye Steak and Chicken Francese on the menu. Since we were there for Mexican food we had tacos and fajitas. They were good choices. The place is new and lacked atmosphere and decor. No liquor license so no margaritas this visit. I'm going to give them another try in a few months after they've gotten the new place feel to a more attractive level. Nice people. Worth another try. Plenty of street parking. read more

This place is a new local treasure!! The entire staff was extremely accommodating and friendly. The food was excellent. Some of the best nachos I have had. Perfectly tender calamari, with very tasty dipping sauces. I had the skirt steak fajitas; the meat was great, and the vegetables were perfectly cooked. The place is very nicely decorated and festive. My wife and I will definitely be going back. I highly recommend this place!! read more

It was Tuesday Margherita for $4.95, so we headed here. I'm not a margherita drinker, but these were pretty good. Nice place, elegant, I was expecting a take-out vibe, was pleasantly surprised. Nice staff. I had the 3 enchilada plate, they screwed up and rather than the red sauce I asked for it was the green. They were still excellant, about the best enchiladas I've had at any local spot. Reasonably priced dinner as well, will definitely be heading back. Good job guys. ! I think we found our go to Mexican spot. read more

Food is amazing and inexpensive. Great find and we will be regulars. I was a regular at Pancho's ( formerly of Island Park) which closed a few years ago The food is better and less expensive.Everything is fresh-guac was awesome. It is BYOB so bring your own alcohol. Highly recommend the Birria and chorizo tacos, taquitos, wings, shrimp and chicken fajitas. Owner and staff are very friendly. read more

congratulations to Frank and his staff at YUCATAN MEXICAN GRILL on a fantastic restaurant experience! Our family of 4 had a wonderful meal. we ordered the the family sampler as an appetizer and it was perfect and delicious. Our entrees included the Burria Tacos, Chorizo Burrito, cheese quesadilla and Taco salad. Everything was made fresh and delicious The service was Impeccable. I highly recommend the homemade lemonade and iced tea as well. Casual dining, good music, comfortable and easy to find on South Long Beach road just south Merrick Road in Oceanside. The food was great and really delicious, and the staff were extremely kind. The resturant it self was colorful and bright, with lots of fun decorations. I ordered a chicken taco and a beef taco, and they were both outstanding. Overall the menu was pretty reasonably priced and the wait was super short. I highly recommend Yucatan Grill. read more
