I walked into Taco Tuesday and ordered me a steak burrito and chips & guac. I was pleasantly surprised by their pricing- it was actually pretty reasonable! The burrito was also quite huge. I mean, look at the photos I added.. it's nearly 2x as long as my hand! I loved their hot sauce too.. it's got a kick but not overwhelming spicy. I really appreciated the interior decorations, it was all so cute! I was even shocked how well-designed, spacious and homey the bathroom was! It's great to know there's such a delicious and affordable spot near me. Oh and guess what, the parking lot is huge!! This is THEEEE taco spot. My husband and i have been coming here since they were a food truck at Long Beach, then the walk-up order window on the mile, and now their sit down spot and while the locations have all changed, the food has remained consistent-- aka DELICIOUS. It's such a nice, chill spot with no frills decor and trendy neon lights that works so well because the food and wait staff speak for themselves; everything is always fresh, and everyone who works there, from the owner to the cashiers and staff are always friendly, helpful, and kind. You MUST go on Birria Fridays! My husband is a bit of a birria connoisseur (at least, he thinks he is ) and Taco Tuesdays is still our tried & true spot after all this time. I'm serious this place is a gem! Head here, get yourself some food truck style tacos, an empanada or 6, and the birria and wash it down with a margarita or sangria and you are golden. I came here recently on a weekend to grab a few tacos for dinner. I never heard of the Taco Truck but my friend had googled this place and it definitely seemed like my type of no frills food joint. This place is located on the Nautical Mile and it's pretty much strictly a grab and go type of place. So I ended up getting 3 tacos: 1 chorizo ($5), 1 chicken ($4), and 1 shredded pork ($4). The total came out to $14.51. I was annoyed at the total because I specifically asked the young lady taking my order if there was an extra charge for using a credit card and she said no. When I got the receipt I realized there was a $0.39 credit card charge, which was why 3 tacos cost nearly $15 dollars. This is a pet peeve for me; I would've paid cash if I knew. It ended up being about a 15 minute wait to get the food, which was a little long. So I took my food home and checked it out. The tacos here are wrapped in a single tortilla, which is a negative for me as I prefer tacos with two tortillas. I also noticed that the lime slices they give you here are tiny. I had three tacos and got two tiny pieces of lime. On my chorizo taco, I noticed that the chorizo was cut into pretty thick chunks. All the good chorizo tacos I've had have diced or grinded up the chorizo to be a lot more fine. So when I was eating the chorizo taco from this place, the texture seemed really off though the flavor was decent. The chicken taco was the driest chicken I've ever had; it tasted like shredded plastic and there was no flavor. The shredded pork taco was also terribly dry; almost as bad as the chicken. So in conclusion, I was disappointed in my meal and I felt cheated out of $14.51. Maybe it was just a bad day for them or something but I wouldn't recommend this place. read more

Was excited to try this place, it was the first place we saw on the Nautical Mile and since it was Tuesday how could it be wrong? Well that was a question I wish I never asked myself. To start the person working the register was extremely rude and unwelcoming. Great start for two people who never ate at this place before and had no clue if it had table service or was a school lunch cafeteria. It was the cafeteria and we'll just wait the food will bring you back to 1886. The inside was meh, nothing impressive and the beer selection was very small compared to other places on the Nautical Mile. They had 3 for $12 tacos which is not a bad deal except. We will cover that next, the beer was $5-10 and the margaritas were $10-12. Ordering the food was annoying when the lunch warded would keep asking if you're ready every minute on the dot. The menu was small but good god, try and give people time to figure out what they would like to try. So to shut her up we just picked easy items. My date got 3 chicken tacos the American way and I ordered 2 Carne Asada and 1 pork taco street style. (This was just another mistake on their part) The food came to the table within 10-15 minutes and well they tasted like the cashiers attitude. I've never gone to a Hispanic ran restaurant or bar and had such bland tasteless food in my life. It was so bad I was getting upset for Latin America. My date didn't mind her bland chicken but like the date I couldn't stand it. Also they gave me 2 pork and 1 carne asada and well it was just unseasoned steak from the local store thrown on a grill and cubed up. The salsa couldn't save them at all. Rating: Beer 3/10 Food 0/10 Service 6/10 for the two men working that day who tried to save the business. Cashier -100/10 Would I recommend the place with no ambiance and bad food absolutely not. I had to give one star cause it's the lowest allowed. Really disappointing for a place that took the name of the week we all enjoy. This was more Taco Gringo de Sunday at best lol. First, the employees do not follow COVID protocols. Secondly, the workers are extremely disrespectful. I made a order and clarified multiple times. I was given a 40 minute wait time. Upon arrival the cashier did not record my order properly despite properly rereading my order to me twice on the phone. He insisted that despite having made the mistake he could not correct my order. He was extremely disrespectful and dismissive. Saying that he had other customers and if I wanted my order fixed it would be another 35 minutes. This was on top of waiting 40 minutes. The disrespectful manner of the employee was deplorable. As a customer who has supported their business since they replaced Ralphs I will never support them again after that display of disrespect and blatant disregard for their mistake. We had a shrimp and fish taco and a Carmel stuffed churro and they were just fresh and tasty. The tacos were in soft corn tortillas and they just were tender and flavorful. Went to Taco Tuesdays with my friend for the first time and the experience was amazing!!!! John took really good care of us. He was so patient and explained the menu so well. I had the classic grilled shrimp tacos and the strawberry mango margarita with tajin on the rim. The shrimp were grilled to perfection and the margarita was nice and strong. I'd say this is a very average taco place. We ordered a chicken, steak, tilapia, shrimp, and chorizo taco just to give them each a taste. All were solid, nothing to write home about....except the chicken taco. The chicken was extremely dry, we also came here right when it opened so curious how it got that dry or if it was from the previous day. The chorizo had the most flavor, but even then I wouldn't say it knocked me off my feet. The sauces were nice and the prices very fair. read more

While ordering I couldn't find the offer for as much as I tried. I still placed my order and decided to call them to let them know I was trying to get the special. Upon calling the store the manager answered the phone was so so disgustingly rude and arrogant towards me after explain to him I was ordering from Uber eats and there was a special which he confessed to having online. He screamed through the phone after I asked him to cancel the order so I can reorder it correctly. He insisted he couldn't , he wouldn't do it. He said HE COULD DO IT BUT ONLY IF THE BOSS GAVE HIM PERMISSION which after that I asked to speak to the boss. He was so disgusting and rude and said his was on vacation until A MONTH from now. I said I just wanted my free item and to please cancel it so i could reorder it again. HE HANGED UP THE PHONE 2 TIMES. All because I told him I also work at a fast food restaurant and cancel order all the time on the tablet, i said it was unfair how he was handling the situation because he was able to do it . I personally do it all the time if the i can't persuade my customers into changing the order or trying to send them a pastry for free etc. after hanging up 2 times I just gave up then he called me back to tell me he talked to his boss and he said he would be sending the free item. UPON GETTING MY FOOD, the food was honestly so disgusting and when I say SALTY I literally mean SALTY. Everything was salty, just salty. The didn't pack 2 of my items and I just disputed the order with Uber eats bc I was only just going to leave it like that and not even do anything about it but they really crossed the line. This place is a great addition to the Nautical Mile. The little yellow hut (formerly Ralph's Italian Ices) pumps out some great fare. We tried the steak, pork, chorizo and flounder tacos as well as a chicken empanada. The steak was incredible, hands down our favorite. The chorizo was also great, followed by the pork and the flounder . The empanada had a nutmeggy kick to it and the dough was great. We sat out by the canal at the picnic tables. Hopefully they get those bad boys finished soon because I got a splinter on my thigh. Didn't take anything away from the experience though. I also saw they delivered. A nice little spot to get some tacos by the water. I did feel a bit rushed when the guy was taking my order and I was the only person there. I had to ask if they were closing soon or something, because there was no other way to explain it. I ordered a fish, chorizo and chicken taco as well as a chicken and cheese quesadilla. The tacos came with lettuce, radish (I think) and some onions. You have a choice of getting salsa, some type of green sauce, which in my opinion was just ok and some sour cream. Out of the three, the salsa was the best. It was bit spicy, but it went great with the tacos and even better with the sour cream when eaten with the quesadilla. The tacos over all were ok. The chicken taco was probably the best out of the three. Overall, the food was ok. Unless I'm really hungry and craving some tacos, I'm not sure I would come back, but things can change and I might change my mind. They can definitely work on their customer service presence a bit more, but you guys should try it out for yourself. Maybe the guy had an off day. And they reheated the chorizo pieces in the deep frier instead of on the flat top The single corn tortilla fell apart easily And the prices are way too much for what you get - $3.95 for the steak and chorizo tacos. I wanted to try this place, had heard good things. I ordered for delivery a steak taco and a fry bowl. I used the avocado sauce and a few drips of hot sauce on the taco and it was very good. I offer advice here tho, if you want the fry bowl, it's good but was waaaaay too hot for me. Unless you really like fiery hot, you should ask for that on the side, so you can add your own. I'm sure I would have enjoyed it if it weren't so hot. As it was, I couldn't eat it. Not blaming anyone, I ordered it; just warning others. read more
