Honestly this place deserves more than 5 stars. I was influenced by Tik Tok and this place was honestly phenomenal. The tacos were spectacular. It was a bit of a hike from where I live, but it's for sure worth the drive. It does get pretty busy and this location isn't that big, but we were still able to get seating! For the tacos, I had the surf and turf, mango and shrimp, and the cod supreme with my side as queso and chips (a side is included with the combo). Honestly I'm speechless with the tacos. They were that good. The protein was well seasoned and the toppings were very fresh. There's so many options to choose from!! Now the queso was interesting, but in a good way. It was thicker than I'm used to and also slightly sweet. The sweetness kinda of threw me off, but it was a pleasant surprise. Very different, but honestly it was still flavorful. I had the wings as an appetizer and they were your average wings. Nothing too crazy! The tacos were really the stars here! The churro (not pictured) is honestly the best I ever had! Truly a treat! Everything I ordered I would get again but I wouldn't only because I would want to try something new lol! Don't take my word for it! Give Tony a try because I promise he knows what he's doing!

I stopped in for a quick bite and one that was not too filling. Parking is difficult due the restaurants location bring in a corner of a busy street and no parking lot. The decor is that of a bar. I'm ta advertising display and promotes their margaritas. The have Taco Tuesday, promos on margaritas, happy hour, and all types of Taco's. I chose the classic Chicken Pollo. It had a pleasant with a bit of lime twist to stimulation and intensifying the taste. If I knew it were going so enjoyable I would have opted for two or three. I also chose the steak and cheese. This was also a very good choice. The bell pepper and that rich creamy cheese pared a perfect combination. I didn't indulge in drinks because I wasn't feeling it but I've had them in the lady and the get the job done. Okay, okay, you can get pretty tipsy. The cashier was as kind as nice and provided the kind of service that speaks for this locations reputation all the while gaining customer detention. I did take my ordered to go as this location was nearly packed. I don't know the service requirements on to go orders but napkins can could be provided. I guess if you are taking it to go that may mean you are going to eat the taco's at home. This is why I always carry napkins in my cubby space in my car. But it was nothing to make an issue over.

Cute taco spot with so many options ! My tacos were delicious as well as the churros. Wish I was able to try all margarita flavors ! Indoor and outdoor seating. Quick and friendly service.

Excellent food, great drinks, cozy vibes. We'll be back! My boyfriend and I stopped by this taco spot for the first time, and we were so glad we did. Everything from the service to the food to the drinks was on point. Let's start with the margaritas -- amazing. My boyfriend got the rainbow margarita, which is a mix of all the flavors, and it was honestly the best one. I had the mango margarita which was great too, but I had major drink envy once I tasted his! For food, I had the chicken quesadilla. It was cheesy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and the chicken was juicy and tender. Just the right amount of crisp on the outside, too. My boyfriend had the tacos and he loved them. He didn't speak for a few minutes because he was too busy scarfing them down. The street corn is an absolute must! It was creamy, tangy, and packed with flavor. We both agreed we'd come back for that alone. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The cashiers were super friendly and patient while we looked over the menu (it was our first time, and we took a while!). It wasn't crowded when we went, there were only two other groups dining in, probably because the weather wasn't the greatest that day. But I can easily see this place being packed on a sunny afternoon. Prices were very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes. We'll definitely be back soon!

A while back, I visited Tony's Tacos and was underwhelmed, so I promised to return and give them time to work out the kinks of being relatively new. The forward is my overall reaction to my four experiences there. THE GLOWS: Call me crazy, but I am a sucker for a clean eatery. Management clearly has a standard for maintaining the space and I appreciate it. There is a lot of selection for foodies, just be sure to clearly articulate your order if you are a person who subs out items, asks for things to be removed, or in any way reconstructs what the cook prepared, beware. I enjoyed the classic chicken taco. THE GROWS: The guacamole was a major letdown. It was overwhelmingly limey and tasted pretty generic, like it might have been pre-made. I was hoping for a fresh, homemade taste, especially since I didn't see it made table-side. Parking is tricky--some of the locals residents eyeball you when you park in front of their homes, but there is no lot for this restaurant, so you have to deal with it. I really love giving glowing reviews, but I continued to be underwhelmed :-(

The frozen margarita was everything. Mozzarella triangles were warm and delicious. COD club was bland but hot sauce made it better

A must try taco place in Franklin Square. The mushroom quesadilla is delicious - I usually add steak to it and it's the best quesadilla ever. My boyfriend and I have tried multiple tacos, we enjoy every single one of them. You can't go wrong with Tony's. They're a bit on the expensive side but definitely worth every bite. The drinks are amazing too.

First Impressions - N/A ordered for delivery to cater a holiday party at my husband's family's house The Noms - I will say that (being a Cali native) I was very skeptical of Italian Mexican tacos... however, I have to say that these are very good... not authentic or traditional, but a very good fusion. Shrimp club - my favorite... all the tacos are very generously portioned but the two shrimps in these tacos are more like prawns. Flavor and textures are delicious! Chicken club - chicken chunks were moist and juicy. Tacos tastes fresh even the next day after sticking it into the toaster oven Cauliflower explosion and Beans + brussels - these were the vegetarian options (as we were a mixed group) I didn't have these because I saved room for another helping of the shrimp tacos... but all the vegetarians loved these. In Conclusion - I checked yelp asap and saw lots of additional flavors and tacos and I'll definitely be visiting again to try them! 10/10 recommend!

Lunch special. Spicy Chicken and Mango Jalapeno tacos with a side of chips and spicy pico. Sour cream on the side. No cheese.
    Ronit M.

Nothing special in my honest opinion. I've gotten rave reviews from everyone else that has been, but if you're like me and trying to avoid dairy, the food here is meh at best. I opted for tacos because it's in their name. I got the spicy chicken without cheese and the mango jalapeno without cheese. It was the lunch special and I had the option of pico or melted cheese and chips... I chose the pico but that wasn't really as expected because it came in a cream sauce instead of simply being raw pico, which would have been dairy free. I had water with my meal, so no complaints there, but the fact that I received an email for $2 margaritas makes me wonder if they're all that worth it when they're regular price, or even worth the taste or the calories. One of the tacos I ordered came with sour cream. I asked for that on the side. I am a slight hypocrite because I do love fresh sour cream. The sour cream went better with the chips than the pico did. I wound up doing that. The cream itself was a tad watery. Not sure why. Aside from that, the tacos tasted fine but were wet and soggy since I got them without melty cheese. I think maybe if they allowed some of the liquid to drain before adding it to the shell, that would have been better. The taco shell was tasty like lavash. The habanero sauce was extremely sweet and it felt like spicy candy instead of hot sauce. It tasted good but I didn't feel full after my meal and a huge bottle of water. The place itself had a decent amount of seating considering it was a smaller square footage. The decor was nice. The bathroom was decent (cleanliness) and A++ for a sturdy hook on the door, high enough so one's belongings don't drag on the floor. The lady at the register was patiently impatient. I told her others can pass me to place their orders as I was deciding what to get. They have a lot of the same options over and over again with slight tweaks to give it a different flavor, so if anything goes, it will be harder to decide what to get. I figured out which two tacos I wanted and then she said I could save more if I downloaded the app and used the scan code. I'm not sure how much I'll frequent Tony's Tacos, but I started to download the app and wait for the prompts to register and as that was happening she persistently suggested I pay first and add the receipt notes in later. I really didn't want that hassle , so I made her wait even though she told me no worries about the time it took. Part of it was her bad.. the first code she recommended I scan took me to the menu and not the app. She was really helpful with explaining the menu and what I could get at that hour with the lunch special. I am grateful for her there. She also checked in with me when she saw me tossing the remains off my tray and I thought that was a nice touch for a new customer experience. Happy eats! Happy eats!

Interesting concept. I lived in Mexico for 5 years so I was skeptical about the tacos. We had the mango shrimp, surf and turf, club chicken and supremo chicken. All were very tasty. The ingredients taste very fresh, presentation is great and the service is outstanding. It is a place for a quick but delicious meal with outdoor seating on a warm day.

A cozy, smaller spot where you can see right into the kitchen where the food is being prepared, El Nopal of Floral Park does not skimp on flavor or portion size. Our waiter, God forgive me because I cannot remember his name, was a delightful, kind man who spoke very highly of his place of work when I complimented the food. I came here with a friend: he ordered 3 different tacos and absolutely cleared all of them, while I ordered the carne asada con camarones which came with pico de gallo, rice, and beans. I added a whole grilled/roasted jalapeño and I'm incredibly happy that I did. While pico de gallo might go unnoticed or sound run-of-the-mill, this batch was far from it - the vegetables were bright, fragrant, and fresh, wonderfully complimenting the rest of the food. Two heaping portions of whole well-seasoned, well-cooked carne asada topped with 3 delicious shrimps was the main attraction, with yellow rice placed on the same plate, hot and ready to be eaten. Refried beans were served in a separate ramekin and were also very flavorful. Additionally served with the entree is a cheese tortilla. While this volume of food may seem overwhelming to some, the dish was undoubtedly cohesive and I cannot say enough about how much I enjoyed every bite of it. At $21.80 + $1 for the jalapeño, this was an absolute deal. Can't wait to visit again!

We went on an Thursday and about a third of the tables were taken. The staff are very friendly but a bit scattered. It's not enough to be completely bothered by it, just to make note. They seemed to be unfocused. We even ordered Jarritos and had to remind them during our meal. Appetizers: We ordered guacamole since they make it to order and it was soooo good. Probably the best part of the meal. The chips and salsa that they give for the table were pretty good too. LOVE the smokiness of the salsa. My date ordered three separate tacos: fish, al pastor and I think chorizo. He said they were okay, nothing that really stood out to him but he did finish it. They're filling though so three was a good amount for him and he can eat up to 5 sometimes if the tacos are really good. I ordered Mole. Mole is a very difficult dish to get down. I've had really really good mole that's been stewed for hours, close to half a day. I even have the thick paste concentrate that friends have given me from Mexico as gifts cause I love Mole so much. Usually, the sauce is close to a gravy consistency, it's smokey from the chiles, not a strong heat, a hint of sweet from the chocolate, savory etc. The chicken should also be to a point where it's fork tender, you do not need much to take the meat off the bone. Tepache's mole was alright. The sauce was a little thinned out, leaned salty and made it hard for the other flavors to come through. The dish was also supposed to come with tortillas and I didn't realize till I put it in a to-go box that I wasn't given them. Twenty-five dollars for mole is a steal because it is a difficult and time consuming thing to make, but only if it's REALLY GOOD. And this one was just okay. Overall though I still want to come back and try out other menu items. I wouldn't suggest the Mole, but I am curious about other things.

If you read my review of the Franklin Square store you'll see that I was blown away by the quality, freshness & flavors. Sadly that was not the case on this visit. Ordered ahead through the app, showed up about 2 minutes after the time they said it would be ready and was told they were just bagging it up - no big deal. This took about 5 more minutes but allowed me a window into what was going on as I waited. The young man behind the counter while seemingly attentive also didn't appear to care very much. I ordered a large watermelon juice and saw one sitting on the counter but wondered if it was mine as it appeared to be a small. The young man behind the counter must have realized this and grabbed it alongside a large cup. Unfortunately, his way of "correcting" this was to just dump more ice in the cup, not any juice on top of what was in the small. Now I'm already feeling a little cheated. Everything was bagged up & stapled shut before being handed over. Trusting that it was how it should be I carried the bag out and went on my way. Unfortunately I was foolish to do so - no straw, utensils or napkins to be found. Having to scrounge for a straw as well as a spoon for the street corn when I got back to work was incredibly frustrating. On to the food - here's the rundown: Street Corn - taste was there just like the last time but temperature wise it was way off. Why one store sends it out piping hot and another lukewarm is beyond me Funghi Quesadilla - I was such a fan of this from the FS store, perfectly cooked and still piping hot. Here at FP it came not so hot and the veggies inside nowhere near the level of caramelization I got the first time around. Felt phoned in Milanese Taco - good but not great. Balsamic was a nice touch, probably the best thing I got this time around. Shrimp Mango Taco - rice was ok but felt out of place. Shrimp were tasty but the mango was incredibly bland, probably underripe. Disappointing to say the least Cauliflower Explosion Taco - veggies underdone just like the quesadilla. Lots of potential if properly executed but this one fell flat Maybe they had an off day, I don't know. Either way it's pretty sad that I suddenly shifted from a top notch experience to mediocre and no need to come back. Maybe I'd try again but at this location I'd be incredibly hesitant. Worth the extra few miles drive to go back to FS honestly.

Soft tacos wrapped in corn tortillas made with large seared shrimp were delicious. I liked that they didn't use too much cojita cheese in the tacos, but plenty of healthy avo. I didn't much care for the spicing of my marinated steak taco, but my partner loved it so no accounting for tastes :) Each item comes with a choice of two sauces so I tried them all. The pico and green sauce were my personal faves, I used them liberally to spice things up. Ordering directly from Homemade Taqueria's website is the most cost effective method, and they offer loyalty points as well. Can't wait to try some different items next time!

Don't you just love finding a great new place by accident? We were looking for Tacos Jaliscos, and…read morewe stumbled upon this food truck. While the outside says "Angelitos hotdogs", this is actually a Mexican food truck. The blackboard showing what specials are available showed "hoy tacos al pastor" So I took the recommendation and ordered two, along with a Carnitas taco as well. The Al Pastor was delicious and spicy with small slices of pineapple to give it a very balanced flavor. The Carnitas was salty and delicious and paired with just enough lime and cilantro to give it a full flavor. The burrito was absolutely monstrous. The lovely woman in the truck told me that the rice was still cooking so I would have to wait for my burrito, however, I told her I didn't want rice so she filled up the remaining space in the burrito with more meat and beans. This thing had to weigh at least a pound and a half. It was absolutely delicious. The meat was soft and tender and the beans were cooked perfectly, and there was just the right amount of cheese as not to overpower any of the other ingredients but yield a soft creamy texture. Do yourself a favor and make it a point to come to this taco truck. It is well worth it!
