Admittedly I screwed up by ordering at Franklin Square, meant to do Floral Park and stood there like a dummy as those poor folks searched for my order before we finally discovered my fubar. Despite the delay everything was still hot & fresh on arrival at location #2. Gotta love it. From start to finish I was thoroughly impressed with the product from Tony's Tacos. Everything I tried was very impressive Funghi Quesadilla hit all the marks. I'm a huge fan of sauteed mushrooms/onions and this had the perfect level of caramelization that melded oh so well with the cheesy goodness. Scarpetta tacos - chef's kiss. It was like sunday gravy on a taco in the best way possible. They describe it as Italian birria and it's pretty spot on, super tender shredded beef, and the accompanying sauce I could drink a bucket of it was that damn tasty. Street corn - all the right flavors in all the right ways, just be sure to give it a stir before you dig in, melding that mayo & tajin into every bite took it to the next level. Honestly this place deserves more than 5 stars. I was influenced by Tik Tok and this place was honestly phenomenal. The tacos were spectacular. It was a bit of a hike from where I live, but it's for sure worth the drive. It does get pretty busy and this location isn't that big, but we were still able to get seating! For the tacos, I had the surf and turf, mango and shrimp, and the cod supreme with my side as queso and chips (a side is included with the combo). Honestly I'm speechless with the tacos. They were that good. The protein was well seasoned and the toppings were very fresh. There's so many options to choose from!! Now the queso was interesting, but in a good way. It was thicker than I'm used to and also slightly sweet. The sweetness kinda of threw me off, but it was a pleasant surprise. Very different, but honestly it was still flavorful. I stopped in for a quick bite and one that was not too filling. Parking is difficult due the restaurants location bring in a corner of a busy street and no parking lot. The decor is that of a bar. I'm ta advertising display and promotes their margaritas. The have Taco Tuesday, promos on margaritas, happy hour, and all types of Taco's. I chose the classic Chicken Pollo. It had a pleasant with a bit of lime twist to stimulation and intensifying the taste. If I knew it were going so enjoyable I would have opted for two or three. I also chose the steak and cheese. This was also a very good choice. The bell pepper and that rich creamy cheese pared a perfect combination. I didn't indulge in drinks because I wasn't feeling it but I've had them in the lady and the get the job done. Okay, okay, you can get pretty tipsy. The cashier was as kind as nice and provided the kind of service that speaks for this locations reputation all the while gaining customer detention. I did take my ordered to go as this location was nearly packed. I don't know the service requirements on to go orders but napkins can could be provided. I guess if you are taking it to go that may mean you are going to eat the taco's at home. This is why I always carry napkins in my cubby space in my car. So I have a lot to say about this establishment I went to pick up an online order for a customer who ordered margaritas they ask for I'd I show them my id they say I cant give you the margaritas because your name doesn't match the name on the order which was stupid as hell So not only did I get yelled at by customers for not completing there order but also a negative review I've been coming to this location for years never have I had and issue with picking up drinks for customers all I had to do was show id that was age appropriate I never heard of the id having to match the name on the order especially for online orders but ‍‍ Idk what the hell you guys have going on there but I promise I will never step foot here again read more

Everything from the service to the food to the drinks was on point. Let's start with the margaritas -- amazing. My boyfriend got the rainbow margarita, which is a mix of all the flavors, and it was honestly the best one. I had the mango margarita which was great too, but I had major drink envy once I tasted his! For food, I had the chicken quesadilla. It was cheesy, flavorful, perfectly seasoned, and the chicken was juicy and tender. Just the right amount of crisp on the outside, too. My boyfriend had the tacos and he loved them. He didn't speak for a few minutes because he was too busy scarfing them down. The street corn is an absolute must! It was creamy, tangy, and packed with flavor. A while back, I visited Tony's Tacos and was underwhelmed, so I promised to return and give them time to work out the kinks of being relatively new. The forward is my overall reaction to my four experiences there. THE GLOWS: Call me crazy, but I am a sucker for a clean eatery. Management clearly has a standard for maintaining the space and I appreciate it. There is a lot of selection for foodies, just be sure to clearly articulate your order if you are a person who subs out items, asks for things to be removed, or in any way reconstructs what the cook prepared, beware. I enjoyed the classic chicken taco. THE GROWS: The guacamole was a major letdown. It was overwhelmingly limey and tasted pretty generic, like it might have been pre-made. I was hoping for a fresh, homemade taste, especially since I didn't see it made table-side. Parking is tricky--some of the locals residents eyeball you when you park in front of their homes, but there is no lot for this restaurant, so you have to deal with it. We were big fans when they opened the Franklin Sq store. The BEST taco we could find. Then they opened the Garden City store, changed the menu removing pork altogether, took away the Shrimp Supreme...When we asked about these changes they said it was a seasonal menu. Nothing seasonal about mushrooms & pork. We stayed away for 6 months and returned when they brought back parts of the original menu. That was 3 months ago. We went back in today (12/13/25) and ordered the Shrimp Supremes and a Buffalo Crunch. The Shrimp were definitely smaller than we remember, the taco may be smaller but it was definitely not filled like it used to be and the taste was pedestrian. The Buffalo Crunch was definitely not chicken. It was a non-descript croquet of rice & cheese with a lightly spiced shell. I don't know what happened to the owners...maybe they sold, maybe they took on more partners, but what ever happened they managed to gut a really top notch franchise. read more

Shrimp club - my favorite... all the tacos are very generously portioned but the two shrimps in these tacos are more like prawns. Flavor and textures are delicious! Chicken club - chicken chunks were moist and juicy. Nothing special in my honest opinion. I've gotten rave reviews from everyone else that has been, but if you're like me and trying to avoid dairy, the food here is meh at best. I opted for tacos because it's in their name. I got the spicy chicken without cheese and the mango jalapeno without cheese. It was the lunch special and I had the option of pico or melted cheese and chips... I chose the pico but that wasn't really as expected because it came in a cream sauce instead of simply being raw pico, which would have been dairy free. I had water with my meal, so no complaints there, but the fact that I received an email for $2 margaritas makes me wonder if they're all that worth it when they're regular price, or even worth the taste or the calories. One of the tacos I ordered came with sour cream. I asked for that on the side. I am a slight hypocrite because I do love fresh sour cream. The sour cream went better with the chips than the pico did. I wound up doing that. The cream itself was a tad watery. Not sure why. Aside from that, the tacos tasted fine but were wet and soggy since I got them without melty cheese. I think maybe if they allowed some of the liquid to drain before adding it to the shell, that would have been better. The taco shell was tasty like lavash. The habanero sauce was extremely sweet and it felt like spicy candy instead of hot sauce. It tasted good but I didn't feel full after my meal and a huge bottle of water. The place itself had a decent amount of seating considering it was a smaller square footage. The decor was nice. The bathroom was decent (cleanliness) and A++ for a sturdy hook on the door, high enough so one's belongings don't drag on the floor. The lady at the register was patiently impatient. I told her others can pass me to place their orders as I was deciding what to get. They have a lot of the same options over and over again with slight tweaks to give it a different flavor, so if anything goes, it will be harder to decide what to get. I figured out which two tacos I wanted and then she said I could save more if I downloaded the app and used the scan code. I'm not sure how much I'll frequent Tony's Tacos, but I started to download the app and wait for the prompts to register and as that was happening she persistently suggested I pay first and add the receipt notes in later. I really didn't want that hassle , so I made her wait even though she told me no worries about the time it took. Part of it was her bad.. the first code she recommended I scan took me to the menu and not the app. She was really helpful with explaining the menu and what I could get at that hour with the lunch special. I am grateful for her there. She also checked in with me when she saw me tossing the remains off my tray and I thought that was a nice touch for a new customer experience. Happy eats! This place is just great. It's new location in Franklin Square is very clean and inviting and has a beautiful outdoor seating deck. I struggle to explain exactly what their "taco" shells are made of, but they work and they're delicious. Their Italian take on tacos is very creative and more importantly, delicious. My favorite it the shrimp and mango. Two nice sized shrimp and very fresh taste. Their Birria take is great as well but definitely not traditional in any way. Doesn't matter, still works. I'm yet to try their margarita's (which they also make to go) so I'll have updates soon but they do have jarritos Overall, this is a very fun stop for lunch or dinner and I highly recommend it and the staff here is friendly and helpful. Let me tell you how DECEIVING this promo is. The only way you get your $2 drink is with a mandatory food purchase. so for every $2 drink you buy that's more food you HAVE to purchase or they won't serve you "this promo". It was a bit cloudy and looked like it was about to rain so the umbrellas were all open. (NICE) so I thought...... As soon as the rain dropped some dumbass thought it would be a great idea to instruct staff to close all of the outside umbrellas while customers (20+ people) including kids and babies in strollers were sitting outside eating and drinking. Everyone and their food got soaked without a warning to even move indoors or anything. People were really pissed! which is obviously understandable because this is just UNACCEPTABLE. 3. of the 10+ drinks that were purchased one of the frozen margs had a strange thick pasty slime thing inside and when asked to change for a different one they said we would be charged full price for a new drink. Mind you the bill is well over $200 at this point because of all the food we HAD to purchase to get this deal. Scarlett quesadilla, Peter luger and Pollo Supreme tacos, chicken wings, and 2 margaritas. Margarita deal is 2 per item ordered at $2 each. House tequila of course but you can upgrade to cadamigos for a few more dollars. Even able to get the drinks to go. Dropped 1 star because they forgot the wing and taco sauces. They're on the receipt but didn't make it to the bag. And for $50 expect all the details to be correct. But I got the sauce that came with the quesadilla and it was so good. Location is at the intersection of a main road and a residential street so parking was not instant but spaces opened sporadically. If not, you might have to walk a block or 2.
