I tried the 3-taco combo with the mango lemonade and queso, and for $12 on Uber Eats (deal running through June 30), it's hard to beat. You can mix it up with fries, sweet corn, or queso plus a drink, which makes it feel like a steal given the portions and quality. I know there can be variations from location to location of a business, but I'm genuinely baffled at how different the food I got from the Floral Park shop. If you read my review of the Franklin Square store you'll see that I was blown away by the quality, freshness & flavors. Sadly that was not the case on this visit. Ordered ahead through the app, showed up about 2 minutes after the time they said it would be ready and was told they were just bagging it up - no big deal. This took about 5 more minutes but allowed me a window into what was going on as I waited. The young man behind the counter while seemingly attentive also didn't appear to care very much. I ordered a large watermelon juice and saw one sitting on the counter but wondered if it was mine as it appeared to be a small. The young man behind the counter must have realized this and grabbed it alongside a large cup. Unfortunately, his way of "correcting" this was to just dump more ice in the cup, not any juice on top of what was in the small. Now I'm already feeling a little cheated. Everything was bagged up & stapled shut before being handed over. Trusting that it was how it should be I carried the bag out and went on my way. Unfortunately I was foolish to do so - no straw, utensils or napkins to be found. Having to scrounge for a straw as well as a spoon for the street corn when I got back to work was incredibly frustrating. On to the food - here's the rundown: Street Corn - taste was there just like the last time but temperature wise it was way off. Why one store sends it out piping hot and another lukewarm is beyond me Funghi Quesadilla - I was such a fan of this from the FS store, perfectly cooked and still piping hot. Here at FP it came not so hot and the veggies inside nowhere near the level of caramelization I got the first time around. Felt phoned in Milanese Taco - good but not great. Balsamic was a nice touch, probably the best thing I got this time around. Shrimp Mango Taco - rice was ok but felt out of place. Shrimp were tasty but the mango was incredibly bland, probably underripe. Disappointing to say the least Cauliflower Explosion Taco - veggies underdone just like the quesadilla. Lots of potential if properly executed but this one fell flat Maybe they had an off day, I don't know. Either way it's pretty sad that I suddenly shifted from a top notch experience to mediocre and no need to come back. Maybe I'd try again but at this location I'd be incredibly hesitant. 5 -5-26. Tried Tony's Tacos for the first time tonight. I ordered 3 tacos. Chorizo Supreme Taco which was a grilled chorizo sausage, pico, lettuce and sour cream. Very tasty. The Spicy Chicken Taco which was fried chicken with queso, arugula, pico, lettuce and sour cream. Excellent. The Cod Fish Club Taco which was fried cod with cheese, lettuce, pico and a spicy mayo. Very enjoyable. The tacos were pretty packed and the shells were kind of an in between of a gordita and a slight crispy taco shell. They were a little crunchy and a little chewy, which made for a pleasant overall eating experience. I would definitely recommend this establishment. The prices are a bit high, but the food is of high quality. The staff was excellent and they were all working their butts of on Cinco De Mayo AND Taco Tuesday. read more

My husband and I came across Tony's Tacos a while ago and always talked about trying it, but never got around to it. That changed after a friend let me try her tacos. I've been hooked ever since. I liked them so much that I ended up ordering a few for my husband and me as a quick treat. The Chicken Club Taco tastes like a Big Mac taco without the beef. It's flavorful and indulgent, but if you don't eat it right away, the chicken tends to get mushy. I recommend taking the chicken out and reheating it separately in the air fryer. I reheated the entire taco and it was still too mushy for my liking. The Surf & Turf Taco was hands down my favorite. The steak and fried shrimp bites paired perfectly with the homemade tartar sauce and pickled red onions. The flavors were well-balanced and really stood out. The Street Corn is not your typical elote. While the flavors were subtle, I couldn't get past the extreme amount of parmigiano cheese. There was too much of one thing and not enough of something else, if that makes sense. Something about it felt off. On top of that, for the price point, the portion was extremely small. We also ordered the Churros, but unfortunately didn't get around to eating them right away, and by the time we did they had become too mushy as well. The margaritas were disappointing! I paid the same price for both the Coco Guava Margarita and the Watermelon Margarita, but the Coco Guava Marg came in a noticeably smaller cup. On top of that, it just wasn't good. I asked for sugar on the rim, but I'm not sure if the note was missed. It tasted extremely salty instead. The tacos themselves are creative and delicious. Tried this location of Tony's Tacos and it was just as good as we expected. Had the chicken parm, the chicken pesto, and the chicken milanese tacos - and my friend had a build your own bowl, and both were absolutely delicious. Honestly I wish I had pictures but I didn't even feel like the food was worth the picture. Tony's tacos employees were accommodating and helpful with any questions I had on the menu. However , I ordered mozzarella sticks which came in a plastic container with one huge container of marinara sauce and two little mozzarella triangles , I was flabbergasted. Paying 6.75 for two triangles is crazy. When you go to a pizzeria they give you atleast 5 or 6 for less then what they are asking. I then ordered a mushroom pesto quesadilla and it wasn't that great. Small quesadilla in a bag . The sauces were tasty and their strawberry lemonade was really good too. But paying 20+ for a subpar meal , I would never go back and order food again. Restaurants looks like a fast food but the tacos tasted like fine restaurant food. when I come back I will order exact same minus the mango Chicken and pick another one. Wow wow wow. This place was so good! Randomly stopped in for lunch while I was in the area. Had the cod fish taco and the carne asada taco. Both were fresh, hot and sooo flavorful. The chips and queso were also delicious. Lunch special was 2 tacos and a side for a great price but the amount of food and quality. Plenty of tables to sit and enjoy with the bright and inviting decor. To top it off the staff and owner (I think) were so friendly! There are several tables and counter seating, so if you prefer to dine in, which we did, there's more than enough space. They have a large digital menu on the wall. The service was friendly and helpful. We ordered at the counter and they brought our order out to us. The Strawberry Lemonade had some pieces of freeze dried strawberries, which I loved since they add extra strawberry flavor. The Street Corn was nicely grilled with a bit of a kick. I like the parmigiano instead of cotija for an Italian twist to the flavor. The Crunchy Flower Taco was indeed crunchy. They did not skimp on the cauliflower. I enjoyed the well seasoned bread crumbs, which added great flavor to the taco. The Spicy Cod Taco contained a perfectly fried large piece of cod, which was balanced with the sweet caramelize onions and not too spicy mango habanero sauce. Overall, unique flavor options that are balanced and delicious. Definitely worth checking out. I also like that they serve margaritas! On Tuesdays you can get the for $2 with a purchase and they add in casamigos for an extra charge. Thank me later. The restaurant is spacious and has lot's of seating. The staff was friendly and answered all my questions to help me with my order. I ultimately went with the Spicy Asada and the Surf & Turf for the tacos and the Dragon & Passion margarita with house tequilla for $10. The spicy asada taco wasn't spicy to me at all. You have to purchase a food item but that's expected. I ordered the octopus taco & the Short Rib Peter Luger. Unfortunately, I didn't eat them while hot because I was already full from the pizza from earlier that day. However, I picked at the octopus it was good so I'm imagining it was better while hot. I haven't eaten the Peter Luger one so can't rate that one yet but I heard it's the most popular one. I also purchased the street corn, I didn't eat that while hot either but when I did eat it, it was really good. So I would certainly recommend. Now the drinks were good, I had the dragon peach margarita & I mixed the mango & blue razz frozen margaritas. So good. So I was drawn to Tony's Tacos from TikTok for the $2 Tuesday Margaritas and originally visited to location on Hempstead. but that's another story lol. What me and my best friend Pam remembered how good the tacos were and we were counting down the days where we would have Tony's Tacos again. Mind you, we went the week before lol. So we decided to try the Floral Park location and I'm so glad we did. The young lady at the cashier and young man working in the back were so sweet, knowledgeable and amazing. They made us feel welcomed and answered all our questions in making our taco choices for the evening. We decided to get the Chicken Parmesan Taco based on Pam's recommendation from our last visit. She said she could not stop thinking about it and she was right. It was heaven lol. We also had the Short Rib Peter Luger which was good. I would definitely order again but would try another flavor before circling back to this one. I also had the Shrimp Mango and Jalepeño which I had last time which was amazing. I'll always get shrimp. Sadly we did and it declined us since we were too far for delivery! First thought. You got to be open minded. They trying something new. Fusions of sorts that's questionable but intriguing. I got the 3 tacos Octopus, Pully pork, and Short Ribs Luger. I got to say it was quite good! Love the individual tacos inside the trays and kept the taco crispy/soft. The toppings wasn't ginormous like in the photos but definitely will fill you up. The Guac & Chips are also good. Recently we had it at another spot. They deceived us! it was chopped veggies with some green stuff where they called it "guac" but lasted a whole week in the fridge without turning brown... and there was 0 guac flavor in it! I've always loved Tony's, but these new quesadilla containers are not it. I've gotten two bricks of cold cheese the last two times I've ordered. Including tonight. It's basically inedible, especially since I'm not able to get to a toaster oven to heat it up and it's lined in foil so can't microwave!!! The queso is warmer than the quesadilla. I've been meaning to try this spot forever and boy am I happy I did! It's great to have a spot like this close by so I can pop over whenever I'm craving tacos or a rice bowl. The spot is very cute and energetic, and I love the vibrancy of the restaurant. We stopped in for the lunch special and tried their bowls, which were really yummy and a good amount for the price. The staff was really sweet and helpful, especially Marisol, who took our order and shared with us that Tony's has an app where you can get rewards and other cool perks! We tried The Mexican and Shrimp & Bello bowls - I loved the latter more as I felt the shrimp really captured the flavor but the Mexican was delicious as well. They have some other great items on their menu, especially their margaritas, which I will definitely try next time. Wow! I think this has been the best Mexican food place I've tried so far! This was a takeout, so I didn't see inside this Tony's Taco location. I ordered the Shrimp & Mango Taco, which was delicious and the Peter Luger Short Rib Taco, which was a tad salty and greasy. So, I will not be ordering that one again. Taco portions were generous, I was mostly happy with the quality of my food. Then I ordered a Watermelon Juice, which was cold, delicious and made with 100% watermelon juice. The food use to be so good but I feel like the quality has definitely changed. Before when I would get the jalapeño mango chicken the jalapeño mango was a salsa. This time both mango and jalapeño were sliced on top. It was fresh which I appreciate but now my shredded chciken was left dry and flavorless. Mango was not ripe and jalapeño was not spicy. The fried cod fish taco was also not living to its previous standards. The cod fish had a really thick batter and had an old fried oil taste. I'm super picky when it comes to Mexican food and this place doesn't disappoint. What I love most is that it has all your traditional staples (ie, carne asada taco) but also some modern takes (ie, chicken parm taco). There's vegetarian friendly options, pescatarian options and plenty of proteins. My first time here in person but I've previously ordered from them via a food delivery app. And between the two experiences, both were very good. Food traveled well and the birria meal was my first favorite. Love the Italian birria sauce. The second favorite taco here is the Luger's Steak. So tender and delicious. The real guilty pleasure and must try is the Dulce de Leche filled churro. I mean, seriously good. Mental note, best when fresh and hot, so while it's an add on item, eat it first or see if they can give it to you later (if dining in).
