Pastor, carne asada and Chorizo tacos! Super delicious bursting with flavor.
    Sandy G.

Tacos Los Primos never disappoints. My constants remain Carne asada, Chorizo and Al Pastor. The grilled Ceboillatas (onions) always seals the deal. Always one of our go-tos when in Richmond/San Pablo.

    Chicken quesadilla

Food: 2/5 The chicken quesadilla was one of the greasiest versions I have tried. The flavor of the chicken itself didn't stand out and the tortilla was soggy. They offer only two types of salsa (green and red) and also charge for additional salsas over the one the order comes with. This was an 18 minute drive just to help fulfill a taco truck craving and it did not hit the spot. A few taco trucks in Oakland seem to be my go to (when driving to San Diego or Mexico isn't an option) the quesadillas have some crunch/less greasy, and also usually 2-3 salsas come with the order without an extra charge. The food was dripping grease and spilled into my bag when I first opened it. Service: 3/5 Friendly service. Ambiance: 2/5 This could be a different experience during a different time/day, but the parking lot was empty and it was incredibly windy.

The tacos here was amazing. Plenty of meat and veggies in it, we had to wait about 5/10 minutes to order cause there were a few people agead of us but the tacos came in super fast. Would definitely eat here again and most likely this is going to be our regular tacos spot. They had some spanish music playing on the background which was nice to listen to while eating tacos. Ample of parking space in the community and there were ample of street parking just in case. We will come back again to try other menu items as well. P.S- I took the pictures after half eating the tacos cause they were that tempting.

Says $3.25 for a taco with carnitas..

I've been coming to this taco truck for a while but took a long hiatus. The tacos here have always been mid but seems to satisfy my cravings. However, the last visit to Tacos Los Primos left a bad taste in my mouth. The tacos here are $3.25 each. I ordered 4 carnitas tacos and was charged $13.75, which I paid CASH for. There's never been a charge for tax before and I was shocked. I think they charged me an extra 75 cents because I am not of Hispanic heritage and ordered in English. This is shady business practice and racist. I will not support a business that adds extras for themselves because they think they can get away with it. Sorry Los Primos, you lost a CASH paying customer forever. Will be patronizing other taco trucks that has honest practices in the area. Stay away from this shady taco truck that cheats it's non Hispanic customers!

Tacos Los Primos is a food truck parked into a corner of a parking lot. just a few spaces along the street are allowed for parking. the others are off limits. posted sign says to park only in designated areas. a few tables next to truck for seating. offerings: burritos, tacos. drinks, quesadillas, tortas eats: al pastor taco (2.25), lengua taco (2.50) -adequate proteins on double corn tortillas, fresh, almost juicy -garnished with whole onion, radish lime, jalepeno, cilantro 4ish stars. good value, quick courteous service, free parking take outs: -be aware of shoutout when order is ready, they call out, but didn't hear #.

I love this place. So much that I drive all the way from Marin just to order my chicken burrito . The burrito is just tasty and there's nothing like it in Marin.

Super lengua there's absolutely nothing super about this 0/10 do not recommend

Order a super burrito it was just meat, cheese and rice. Not sure what they consider super but this ain't it

    Why so much grease?
    Melissa A.

One salsa container for 4 tacos. Hard ass lime. Horchata is not tasty and too much grease for no reason. I stopped here since I wanted tacos because my usual spot El Tucán was closed. Lesson learned never cheat on your main taco spot. Ain't never coming back here. Do better ladies.

    Carne asada tacos
    Sebastian F.

This was my casual spot for tacos and burritos for years, but now I'm bummed to write, but I will be visiting this taco truck less. I ordered three tacos of carne asada at $3 per taco. The flavor was okay but I noticed the tortillas wasn't fully cooked and the lemon was hard. Kinda of a turn off. Quality went down as the prices went up. I hope they'll improve.

It was night time I really wanted to get authentic Mexican food and the area is very competitive. It's authentic what else can you ask for.

Tacos are pretty good, service is good and fast, and ambiance is nice. Price is a little steep. I think it was like 3.25 for a little taco.

Excellent Mexican Food in a pleasant cozy venue. Friendly service, but you have to hunt them down…read moreto refill our water glasses. IN THE CHIPS: Kicking things off, the Chips and Salsa are now $3.85 for an order, but they were worth the money - light and airy, and the salsa just barely had a hint of heat to it. Just perfect. (5/5) THE BEANS.. Perusing the menu, whatever plate you order, you can specify the kind of beans you want (black beans, pinto beans, refried beans). I chose the black beans, but specified "no cheese" on them in a semi-futile attempt to stay on the healthy side. =) SEAFOOD TACOS I decided on the Seafood Taco Platter, where you get one shrimp taco and a fish taco along with a big side of beans and lots of rice. Each taco comes with a double layer of corn tortillas with grilled shrimp, or fish topped by shredded cabbage drizzled with a lime aioli. Instead of deep fried, the shrimp and fish on each taco were grilled to perfection, instead of deep fried. The fish filet was diced and stir-fried with a wonderful aroma. Instead of making a mess, I decided just to eat my taco by slicing and dicing it from the plate. Super good! (5/5) One of my dining partners had the mole here a year ago and loved it, so now that he was back in town, he made this place a prime objective for his visit again to the Bay! Yeah.. I'd tend to agree.. Worth coming back.

Our food was beyond lukewarm. They forgot my child's main dish. They rushed an order of grilled chicken & and it tasted nasty. You could either taste the chicken juice or it was spoiled chicken. The chicken mole had maybe half a breast of chicken. The entire plate was random chilly pepper/ pickled onion. Along with my fajitas. Chicken was decent but had random veggies. Grilled asparagus/ pickled radish/ the basic onion/ bell pepper. No salad, no Guac, no sour cream. Back to the service- we returned the Chicken only to get $5 off the bill. The server was nice but wasn't attentive, never had came back to check on us. I had to go up and ask for the bill. Idk the service and food was horrible. It was more than enough food but we just couldn't stop eating because of how delicious it was! The sweet corn tamale was like a dessert, but paired with the tang and salt of the sour cream and cotija cheese it became a refreshing sweet and salty bite. It was a traditional corn dough and the texture was insanely soft, unlike most of the dry tamales I have had before. The pache tamale was truly the star. I had no idea what I was ordering, but I'm so glad that I managed to get this item in my order. The masa is made with potatoes instead of corn which gives it a smooth and melt in your mouth texture and a savory, addictive flavor. The pork inside is juicy and tender. Each bite is complete with the tangy pickled onions. The chuchitos were like the traditional Mexican tamales I am used to, with corn masa and stuffed with flavor and juicy chicken. The tamales are doused in a delectable red sauce and topped with cotija, sour cream, and more pickled onions. They were delightful. The garnachas were definitely the other star of this order. I had never had tostadas like them before, with flavorful and juicy chopped meat, salsa, and cotija. They are served with pickled veggies to add spice and tang, but what surprised me the most was the sautéed cabbage placed on top of each garnacha. The cabbage was so flavorful and soft, and despite all of the other sources of flavor it made itself known. The chile relleno plato was unlike what I am used to. Often, the chile rellenos my family eats are poblano peppers stuffed with oaxacan cheese, these were not that at all. In a way, this dish resembled more of a stuffed bell pepper, with a red pepper filled with chopped meat and veggies. I did get a piece of cartilage which made me a little wary when taking a bite but it was so delicious I couldn't help myself. The black beans it came with were flavorful and the dressing of the salad was amazing and reminiscent of a green goddess dressing. The service was amazing. The people were sweet and accommodating. I also really enjoyed the ambience even though I did order pick up. There are murals and bright colors lining all of the walls, giving the place a welcoming and fun vibe. Overall, with the amazing food, sweet faculty, and beautiful setting, it is impossible to go to this place and not feel an immediate lift in mood.
