I came for the carne asada tacos and I left with carne asada tacos. Delicious and I only had two but surprisingly they were filling. I've never seen this done before but I like that they had tostadas on the plate as well - 1 tostada per two tacos - ordered 6 to split with friends after leaving a bar in Albany. It's a cute little set-up - this is a food truck with an outdoor eating area. There is limited parking for the business in their parking lot - only three spaces. However, street parking and fairly easy. The service was quick. My tacos were ready in five minutes from the time I ordered. read more

Tacos comparable to the Oakland taco trucks! They make their tripa extra crispy and smoky, and have seafood offerings like aguachile and ceviche. Portions are large, quality perfect. Mainly outdoor seating, but plenty of it. Would come back here again if I'm in the area. read more

They have a gated patio space, lots of outdoor seating! Ordered the shrimp, lengua, and el pastor tacos. My favorite is el pastor. They dress the tacos for you but I don't think the meat is that flavorful. Glad to try it, but I don't think it's my favorite. read more

Came to this spot on a suggestion one evening. Loved how the space looked, on the corner, plenty of room to sit and eat. Took them a minute to recognize me but love the menu, the selection and I ordered Shrimp tacos. Tasty, flavorful and nicely garnished. I will be back a little earlier next time. I recommend. read more

You guys are good, but really when someone orders food and says NO said ingrediant its best if you follow that order. I got a burrito with no sour cream and no onions. I even repeated it because I truly dont like sour cream and I dont like onions. Yet my burrito was filled with onions. It just shows thats either the person was careless or too distracted talking to others while working. Idk..but like I said good food but maybe pay attention because I'd like to return but not if I know what im paying for isnt going to be what I ordered. read more

I've been to Tacos El Chino several times now. I was plenty satisfied on my most recent visit. I really like the vibe of this place because it has covered outdoor seating which is perfect for a sunny spring or summer day. I ended up going with a mix of tacos including the asada and carnitas. I love that they give you a little tostada to soak up your leftover meat as well! I give this spot high marks. I've yet to try the mariscos truck in the same lot, but hope to at some point. read more

Not what I expected. We ordered a mar y tierra (shrimp and carne asada) super burrito with extra cheese. The rice was under cook, the burrito had non cheese and the shrimp tasted like it was covered in mayonnaise. Also, the burrito was suppose to have red salsa in to and I never tasted it. read more

Love going to this place. It's basically two stationary taco trucks On a lot. One of the trucks sell seafood and the other tacos and burritos. The setting is like an outdoor patio setting with plenty of parking. The food is very good and reasonably priced. They stay open till 10 pm. Definitely one my favorite spots for a quick meal. read more

I was craving tacos, and Tacos El Chino did not disappoint. I got three tacos: pollo, pastor, and asada. My favorites were the pollo and pastor, although all were good! Meat was flavorful and tender, and the proportion of filling to tortilla was just right! The tacos came with radish, grilled onions, and a pepper! They operate out of a food truck. There is a nice outdoor seating, and they even have televisions playing sports in Spanish. As someone coming from Southern California, the tacos feel a little pricy at $3 a pop, but I am happy to support. Definitely bring cash because they charge a $1.50 fee for using credit or debit. read more

Tacos El Chino - 6/13/2023 tacos (pollo, pastor, asada) - Food Trucks Near Me - Richmond, California

This review is for their food truck. I've been coming here for many years and at the time it was a tiny truck with a small plastic table with maybe about 4 seats. This place by far has the best tacos I've had in Richmond. I will say that sometimes it's inconsistent but even then I always recommend this place. I will literally travel from Sonoma county just to get tacos from here and I will keep doing so! They have upgraded their seating space and now also have a marisco truck which I have only tried once and it was just okay. Thank you tacos el chino for the tasty tacos and great service. read more

These tacos are OK. This is my second time getting tacos from here. They don't travel well. By the time I got home, mere blocks away, and I drove, the tortillas were soggy. The salsa was OK. I got all carnitas tacos and they were nice enough to deliver them to us as we were leaving, my husband ordered upon arrival (he ate there), but for me, it was OK. It reminded me of a place that I'd ordered from when we were in Mexico, which was not great. These tacos were better, but still, better than not great isn't a good thing. Hard pass next time. I'll wait for the guys on 23rd street to set up shop and get something from them. Those guys can make some great tacos. read more

Wow! We headed to El Chino's for lunch while our car was being washed down the street. The food was excellent! I had the fish plate with salad and my husband had two fish tacos. Alright this review is bittersweet bc I've been struggling to find good tasting mexican food in the Bay since I moved here & I finally found a burrito I really enjoyed. I came with my girlfriend and ordered 2 mixed burritos with asada and alpastor, no sour cream or cheese. I asked for extra meat in one of them & my total after taxes came out to $36.77. Each burrito is priced at 13.50 & I get that I got extra meat in one, but that would mean that my burrito costed me roughly $21. I left feeling a little ripped off but heyy. Anywho, red salsa was solid while the green needed an extra element read more

Tacos El Chino - Last customers of the day and the tacos were still 100% authentic and delicious! Best taco spot in the Bay Area. - Food Trucks Near Me - Richmond, California

I was in the area and had heard great things about the food here so I decided to try out the food and I can say it was worth the money! As soon as I got there I instantly was blown away by how well organized the patio area and food trucks were that I decided to try out 5 tacos de asada, 3 with everything (pictured) and 2 with only the meat and beans ( not pictured). The service was very amazing and the cashier even asked me if I needed any extra condiments or any special requests for the food which was a surprise. In terms of portion sizing I would say this establishment is spot on and fills up their tacos with salsa and meat which makes every bite very appetizing! As a whole, I'd say the tacos was a solid 8.5/10 only due to the fact that I do wish the meat was a bit warmer aswell as the salsa being a bit more spicy, but regardless they were very delicious. In terms of overall experience I would give this place a 9.25/10 because the ambiance and just the whole experience and environment as a whole while being there was above par with other similar restaurants. Overall I would 100% recommend this spot and would come again! read more

I'm a day Oner since their opening. I was their on the first day of their launch. It was a barren lot with their truck only. Since I'm so proud of their expansion. They "had" outdoor seating with awnings and a mural. I watched their growth from the moment they posted signs of their opening. I support local businesses. So I always order their shrimp tacos. It's something that brings it home for me. The girls get their burritos. Their service has never slacked for the many years I've known them. read more

**THEY WILL NOT SERVE YOU IF YOU'RE NOT WEARING A MASK THAT COVERS YOUR NOSE AND MOUTH** It looks like it was a happening place P.P.(Pre Planned-demic) But now that life sucks you can enjoy the music while you wait for your order awkwardly trying to avoid everyone Order: Tacos and horchata drink 1 chicken 1 asada 4 pastor Taste: flavorful They add a jalapeno and radishes (onion separate) There's salsa available on the side Not spectacular but pretty good Tortillas were yellow corn, those taste a little different than the standard ones. The horchata was tasty until.... I found a bug floating in it which grossed me out (that's why the 3 stars ) I couldn't say anything because I didn't know until I got home so I'm not sure if they would have made it right somehow or not. Late post but I couldn't let this amazing experience not be reviewed. After trying their food about 3 times at the truck off 23rd street and loving the food and consistency of the quality of food. We decided to have them cater for a party. They came and cooked food in our backyard. The price was a little daunting at first but food is expensive and the ability to actually enjoy our party with our guests was worth every penny. We dealt with Penelope for the quote and payment. She was very nice and everything was timely. We got food for 75 people. Chicken, steak, pork, Tacos, quesadillas, salsas, veggies, rice beans, chips also came with horchata, jamaica, napkins, plates, cups and cutlery, The two cooks arrived on time, set up their equipment and tent and did an amazing job. They were very nice and everyone loved the food. Good quality food. Our guests were extremely happy and so were we. I would definitely recommend them and will definitely have them for another party in the future. read more

It's a taco truck with a really nice patio. The tables are spread out to allow for plenty of distance, and there's even a decent little breeze. I tried an asada burrito and an horchata. The burrito was good, it had some flavor even without salsa. It wasn't too stuffed with rice, and the ratios were good. They provided a red and a green salsa with the order, along with a handful of chips. The horchata was decent, not the most flavorful, but pretty creamy. My order was ready quickly. The Mariscos El Chino truck is tucked a little further back in the same space, with its own patio area. read more

Whenever I have an itch for a taco, tacos el chino comes to mind. I was first introduced to this place by a friend who LOVES tacos, especially food truck tacos. This is by far our favorite place to grab dinner. We enjoy the shrimp tacos for many reasons: great portions, well marinated large shrimps, and sauce! Next is tacos de buche (pork stomach). It sounds as explosive as it gets because the salsa that they put on this tacos is a bit spicy for me but the meat is extremely tender. If you haven't tried buche, this is a good chance to give it a chance. This type of meat takes hours to clean and prepare before it lands on our tacos and eventually into our mouths. Makes me extremely appreciate folks in the food industry for hours of hard work. read more

It's my first time here, but they blew my expectations out of the water! The lengua tacos were flavorful and delicious; Especially with the house salsa, grilled onions, and grilled jalapeño they include in their taco experience. A definite go to if you're looking for authentic Mexican food. The location has plenty space for comfortable outdoor seating. I went on a Sunday and parking was a bit tight, but I was still able to find a very close spot in the residential area. Because it's next to a residential area, I'm sure parking would be easy during the week. read more

I didn't see any alcohol beverages but had a nice selection of other drinks. The lady taking my order was very friendly and my order came quite very fast. I ordered a shrimp cocktail which is the Mexican way, very fresh and very delicious the veggies where crunchy and I can tell where not previously frozen or from the day before. When I came home I added ketchup. It is not overpowered by soy or Maggie sauce. The shrimps are large and the hole thing was very filling. I will try other items later on. read more
