Tacos El Bronco is forever superior in my opinion, but Tacos Lopez has some really solid & good tacos too. At $3 - $3.50 each, they're still decently priced for the amount of meat you get in each one. I ordered the Al Pastor, Steak, & Carnitas, and all 3 were tasty. Al pastor is my go to taco anywhere, but I was surprised to find that it came without pineapple here. I've seen that they have it in other photos, so not sure why they left it off. I also didn't get a grilled onion, which was a bit disappointing! But the al pastor still delivered in terms of flavor, and I would most definitely get this again. Carnitas were also surprisingly good, given that some previous reviewers thought it lacked flavor. I thought it was seasoned well, and was further complemented by the salsas. Steak was tasty, though I actually preferred the other two. Pico de gallo and guacamole are an extra $0.50 per taco. I'm a sucker for some good pico & guac though, so I'd say get it with all the fixings. Salsas here pack a little bit of heat & pair really well with any of the meats. Service is fast - my order was completed in about 5-10 minutes. Cash & Zelle both accepted. read more

First time at this taco truck after seeing the reviews. They used to be 2/taco but now it is 2.50/taco which is still not bad. This will probably be my new late night spot to go to for taco cravings. I ordered the al pastor and the carnitas. The al pastor is a roasted pork with pineapple. For 2.50, it wasn't bad at all. The tacos all came with onions, cilantro, and pineapple. The meat for this one was tender and the seasoning was good. Make sure to pour the green sauce and red sauce on it because that will give some kick. The next one is the carnitas and this is pork as well. This one had a smoky flavor and wasn't as tender or juicy as the al pastor but it was still good. Once again, don't forget the sauce! I've read that a lot of people have had errors when ordering delivery so I guess it's best just to show up in person and order. I absolutely loved this place. I ate here multiple times over my trip. Not only was it delicious each time, but also consistent. I ordered chips & guacamole & 3 tacos each trip, which was $17.50. My first trip, I ordered 1 chorizo, 1 campechanos & 1 pollo taco. My second trip I ordered 1 chorizo, 1 campechanos & 1 carnitas taco. Overall, the chorizo & campechanos were the ones I enjoyed most. The other 2 were also good, but somewhat dry & not my favorite. They serve each taco with a lime wedge & this delicious salsa verde which helped, but in general I'm not a huge fan of chicken or carnitas tacos but wanted to give them a try. The chorizo & campechanos tacos were so juicy & flavorful. All of the tacos were fresh & I enjoyed them but those 2 I could eat daily. The guacamole was also insanely good. It was super fresh & I love a chunky, flavorful guac & they nailed it. The chips are also freshly made which I appreciate too. Coming from Texas, I'm skeptical towards street tacos but these were authentic & delicious & I will definitely be making a trip to Tacos Lopez for that reason. The tacos here are good. It's not as greasy as el bronco. It cost $2.75 each and they have horchatas on the weekends. Sometimes they add cucumbers or radish on the side. They used to add green onions (cebollitas) but not anymore. They were very delicious and fragrant. Skip the burritos. It's bland. They use yellow rice which I like though. I tried their birria tacos with consome and it was ok. Nothing mind blowing. Sometimes there's a line. The longest I waited for 6 tacos was 30 minutes. Service is good. They open late just right outside of the 18th Avenue D Train. Love the lengua tacos from here, its odd but sometimes it's a miss or they run out early. I've tried Al pastor, carnitas, other beef etc. but not as tender and juicy as their lengua. You could call ahead for pick up to save time. They have plastic chairs you could could sit and inhale your tacos like I did. Definitely will be back. read more

Tacos- 5 stars ! But I will say me and my friend got harassed when we went to go get tacos around 1 am by some drunk patrons who were also eating there. This has nothing to do with the truck but with the location. I was debating taking a star off because the workers did not do anything to help us as another man was saying how he wanted to "split us open and make us taste him" smfh and he continued to say rude disgusting crude things to us until we cursed him out. Really good tacos, absolutely love the tortillas. It would be a 5 star review but there were a few aspects of flavor that I was missing from some of the tacos I had. Loved the chorizo and tinga but everything else needed just a little more oomph. If I could mesh the tortillas and the cebollitas from this truck with the meat from my personal favorite truck, it'd be a match made in heaven. They are by far the best tacos in the bath beach/bay ridge area. The carne enchilada's are to die for. But the service on delivery on getting my plate order wrong twice... the first time around they didn't give me the carne enchilada but what it looks to be pulled pork.. called back.. no answer .. second time around ordered the same thing 3 carne enchilada tacos and a carne enchilada plate via delivery on the phone.. they gave me quesadillas which also on top of that came in cold.. the tacos were still great as it has always been. This taco truck opens late and gets the job done when you have a mexican food craving. Do NOT order the nachos... the cheese they use just makes all the nacho pieces stick together and the chips were soggy. The tacos, steak burrito, and quesadilla are some good choices. Overall, the food is decent but they seem to always forget the extra toppings even though they charge me an extra 50 cents per taco for it. The first time I ordered the extra toppings for my tacos, they forgot. I decided to give them another chance so I came back last week and ordered 6 tacos with the extra toppings. I got steak, Al Pastor, and tongue tacos last night. I loved it. I liked the tongue the most. It was soft and juicy without the excessive gamey taste some bad tongue tacos has. Tacos Lopez is the first taco food truck to hit my neighborhood. I don't know why no one else thought about coming here (we have great foot traffic). Anyway, before Tacos Lopez, I've been getting my fix of authentic tacos from nearby Mexican delis and grocery stores, but they're only subpar tacos. Tacos Lopez consistently makes delicious tacos. Chorizo and Roasted Pork are my favorite. The meat are never overcooked and rubbery; they're always juicy and flavorful. The cilantro and onion garnishes are always fresh. They also deliver, so when you've come home hungry after a night of drinking, you can have tacos brought to your doorsteps! Also, $1.75 for (most) tacos??? That's a great deal! 4.5 stars, only because one time my tacos came with a couple of slivers of mangoes, but I never asked for them. (Disclaimer: I LOVE mangoes, but it really threw me off.) So I only had tacos for the first time in my life recently, and they were from this taco truck. It seems super authentic because I see a lot of Hispanic people lining up for this (that's how you know it's good). The tacos are all $2 and under, and it comes with this super awesome green sauce (???) which goes so well with the tacos. It's so refreshing to dip the tacos in. My favorite taco is the steak - you would think the steak would be tough and chewy but the steak here is pretty tender and flavorful. My second favorite is probably the chicken, followed by carnitas. I got the chorizo last time but it didn't really impress me. Next time I'm gonna try the roast pork flavor. I really like that they use the soft taco shells - I'm not a fan of the hard shells so that's awesome. They also have burritos but they seem pretty big and they're like $9 each. I'm sure they're filling but I'd rather eat like 5 tacos for under $10. The workers are friendly, and the food is made to order. Not only did We have to wait a hour for my delivery which we only live a few blocks away... when I received my order it was leaking all over the brown bag looks like my food was shaken up.
