I stopped in today for a quick lunch and ordered the hot Cheeto burrito with asada meat. I've had this burrito plenty of times before, but this time around, the meat was very salty; also, there weren't very many hot Cheetos in the burrito. I ordered through the drive-thru and although my order was taken quickly and accurately, the server at the window didn't ask me for my phone number for the rewards points. Lastly, when she handed me my order, she hardly extended her arm out of the window, I literally had to lift out of my seat in order to reach and grab my food. I thought this action was rude on the server's part. I've worked drive thru previously in my life and I get how difficult some customers can be, but we should always make it a point to treat all customers with great customer service. read more

First off. I'm a big La Villa fan. I've hit a majority of the ones in Bakersfield. I've now been to this one twice and both time the breakfast burrito was bad. They didn't cook the potato's and there's definitely no seasoning on them. No one wants a breakfast burrito with bland hard potato's. Also.. both times it took FOREVER! My first visit was early in the morning so I understand if you're not fully ready however today, it was 8am. There was one car in front of me. And it took 20 minutes for 1 chorizo breakfast burrito. This place has a history of taking their time. I normally try not to go here because they take soooo long. But my son likes their horchata. Today I placed an order for a single large horchata. There was only one person in front of me and the other two ladies in the back working we're just there talking. I ended up asking the lady how long does it take to get an horchata I've waited 10 minutes and it only takes about a minute to make a drink. The lady apologized and the other that was talking made my horchata. I just can't believe fast food restaurants customer service had depreciated. I do not like going here because of their service. Terrible service. They use to have a system you gave them the phone number and it would give you free food based on the points. I was told they would never expire so I saved them. I had over 3k points and I tried to use them today and they said I had zero points. They said they now have a new system so we all start with zero points. Dropped by for lunch last week while in Shafter. Went for a chile verde wet burrito and I enjoyed it. Service was a little slow, they left me standing at the register for a bit before they took my order and it took a little while to come out but it was hot, fresh and tasted great. The chile verde had a fair amount of heat to it, enough to be satisfying without being overwhelming. It wasn't bad for the price either, I'd say it's worth a stop if you're looking to grab some lunch in Shafter. read more

La Villa is my all time favorite in my old city, so when i found out there was a location in Shafter; i was ecstatic. This first time ever coming to this location, and it WILL be my last. As a veteran fast food employee, I consider myself a very kind and easy going customer. I am extremely passionate about the fast food occupation because it is something i enjoy, and i try to make people's job as easy and enjoyable as possible. With that being said, on Monday (03/26/2024) @12:30am, i was met with an extremely rude and utterly terrible guest service worker. i felt extremely rushed and honestly like she wanted me to be anywhere else but at this establishment. I am willing to understand if i was rude or one of those customers, but unfortunately she was flat out one of the worst customer service employees i've ever met. As stated, i work in fast food, so i understand what it's like working with bad customers, but i can assure you, this was not the case. it was simply a case of a untrained, disrespectful employee who shouldn't be in the game. it's a shame because the food was pretty good, but the service was so bad, i will never go back, EVER. I was so excited to see that Tacos La Villa opened a new location in Shafter! It is right on my way home so we will probably enjoy many meals on those busy nights when I work late and don't have time to cook. We went on their first Friday they were open and they were very busy. The line for the drive thru was lengthy. This could be very stressful for the staff but they handled it so well. Every employee we encountered had a very positive attitude and apologized for the unavoidable delay. They came out to the cars to take orders and expedite our checkout. The food was delicious. We kept it simple and ordered a dozen tacos and got half asada and half Al pastor. The red salsa is spicy, but delicious. Meat is well seasoned. Prices are fair and the food is fresh and quick. My kids also went and got the quesabirrias. They said they were delicious. We will be repeat customers and I'm looking forward to trying the birria fries next time. On the way from work, I stop by at the restaurant and pick up tacos and burritos for me and my husband, it was taco Tuesday, so that place was quite busy. I waited about 30 minutes so went to the counter, asked for my order was ready. One of the staff brought the order. The bag was tided so I did not opened it. I found out one Burrito was missing when I get home. I tried to call the restaurant no one answer their phone so I drove back to the restaurant to got it back. I am officially done with this place. Tonight cashier Aileen A took my order and I had to repeat it several times because apparently she doesn't understand what a torta is. I waited almost 20 minutes. I decide to get a refund, and then they became very defensive, saying that the food was coming up, but it was only two of us in building and we waited way too long. And when they try to present me with the food, it was completely wrong. Their drive-through is also a joke. I watched an entire episode of South Park on my phone waiting in drive-through before. They're always playing loud music that is completely inappropriate with bad words and gunshots. Everyone's always chatting and they look annoyed when they see a customer wanting to place an order. The food is delicious but the customer service from this lady named kelsey which I believe to be the assistant manager sucks. She has the worst attitude ever and always with the bitchiest mood and always very rude. I seriously don't know why she is still working there. Someone from corporate should have a serious talk with her about her customer service and if she don't like to be nice to people she should not be working there. Way to expensive for the quality of meat they are giving. Asada has a lot gristle in every other bite and even if it didn't have all that, there really isn't anything that stands out about the food that says it's worth the money. I can get better quality food fore a better price at la fondas, la bonita or la imperial and it's a restaurant not "fast food" like this place. Can only give 1 star. Came here for lunch and ordered their menudo. It took almost 30 minutes to get my order. When I received the order was only broth with only a few pieces of menudo. They said I could come back to get more at no extra charge. I ordered 12:54 hrs, they said come back at 4 pm. I told them I am from out of town and would be at work. Instead of offering something else at the same price they offered no remedy and didn't seem to care. So I paid $11.50 for menudo broth with no menudo. What was even more interesting the manager was standing there and heard our conversation and inquired but did nothing to resolve the issue. So I ordered a burrito and the didn't even off to comp the meal. Truly bad faith managers at this particular store. The attitude here seems to be they are simply here for a check and unwilling to actually provide a competent service to customers. Bottom line is the employees here don't care. I see these stores everywhere in kern county and I will pass them by every time. So don't waste your money folks. read more
