This is such a go-to spot for true authentic Mexican tacos. The menu is in Spanish but has English text underneath if you aren't a fluent Spanish speaker. The service is so friendly even for a food truck. And they make the orders to-order so the food is extra fresh. Drove up from Parrish, FL. - Arrived around 7:45p They have a few tables that is outdoor seating under a carport roof which offers shade in the day or keeps you out of the rain. They also have lights for dining at night. The young lady that took our order wasn't over-the-top friendly, but not rude - if that makes sense. The food was very good. This is a permanent food truck and located in the corner of a parking lot so you won't have trouble parking. They have a covered outdoor seating area so you could actually eat there if you want. I get the tacos regulares with chicken and onions. I fill up on two tacos but most people would get 3-4. It comes with two side sauces that are med to hot spicy. It all tastes delicious to me but there's so many different types/styles of tacos so it just depends if you like these or not. You can pay with cash or card, they have drinks available too. I've ate here before and the food is good, but today I had a first in customer experience. Explicit scamming. We put an order on Uber eats (confirmation number and everything). When we got their the order wasn't ready when it should have been so the female worker asked to see the confirmation number on my phone and I waited while they made the order. I got back to the car with the phone when I got a notification saying my order was ready. I checked and the employee had put in another order on the Uber eats app when looking at my phone. I came back and they were laughing about it thinking it was funny. It should be common knowledge to not order things on a customers phone or just another persons phone let alone laugh about it when you get caught as it seemed highly likely they were tryi by to get away with it. Also laughing at a agitated customer when the issue was caused by the business is unheard of. Tacos Gone Mobile is my go-to place when I am craving a horchata. I was introduced to this establishment from a friend but I am really happy to find an authentic Mexican food truck. The regular horchata size is beyond fair for the price paid though you may have to call in ahead of time if it is late at night just to make sure they have not run out of the horchata before getting there. I am unsure of what kind of milk they use for their horchata but as someone that is lactose intolerant, I have not run into any stomach problems when inhaling my drink. Though I did not purchase tacos myself, my friend offered me a bite of her tacos and they were pretty tasty. It was filled with meat and had a good amount of veggies on top. The tacos also come with hot sauce for those of you that enjoy a kick in your food as well as caramelized onions within the to-go box. This is a permanent food truck in the parking lot of a shopping plaza on Fletcher. It is 10 min drive from my work location and I've been hoping to find a taco spot that i can frequent for lunch. You can call ahead and pick up, which I've done to save time in my hour lunch break. There is a considerably spacious covered area that has benches if you decide to "dine-in." Always on the hunt for the best tacos and Acapulco Mexican groceria is still my number 1 pick for authentic Mexican tacos. My good friend who is from Mexico, told me that Tacos gone Mobile was her favorite authentic style tacos in tampa, so I thought it must be worth a shot! It took me giving them a second try to become a fan. My favorite protein is pork and that is huge deciding factor for me when it comes to rating a taco restaurant. Carnita (crispy shredded pork) specifically is my favorite taco to order. The pork just didn't even come close to holding a candle to Acapulco groceria in terms of flavor and crispiness. My co-worker who also frequents Acapulco tried the carnita here and agreed it lacked flavor and barely had any crispiness. It tasted like plain roast pork that had a bit of salt. My coworker's al pastor tacos (another style of pork that has a orange looking marinade on it) had better flavor which is not usually the case Ifind when it comes to pork tacos. Carnitas always offer more flavor for me. I would say the al pastor was tastier here. So why do I dare give 4 stars still? The main reason being that I usually do not like steak or carne asada at authentic Mexican joints and always dislike the chicken. I usually find the steak and chicken to be low quality tasting and chewy. The chicken especially is never seasoned well. But that's not the case here. As far as simple authentic Mexican style chicken tacos go, the chicken packs some considerable flavor. It's not to die for, but I would actually consider it as one of my protein choices, when customarily I would not. My first visit I ordered the huarache per my friends suggestion but I ordered the carnita huarache and was not impressed by flavor. The cheese, sour cream and all the other toppings was more pronounced that I hardly realized there was a pork somewhere under there. My friend told me I should have ordered the carne asada huarache and that was their best protein. So I went back a 2nd time and was very much pleased when I took her advice. Three regular tacos topped with onion and cilantro at $2.20 each can fill you up,or 1 huarache with any choice of protein plus beans, cheese, lettuce, tomatoe, avocado and sour cream at 7 dollars can do the trick! I've also tried the chorizo taco and it was tasty. My chorizo rating relies on not being overly greasy,along with flavor and doneness. Checked all boxes! So chorizo and carne asada are the two proteins I'd recommend. Green and red salsa comes with each order. I like to add just a dab of the red salsa because it is very smoky. The green salsa with avocado pieces is my favorite and I pour all of it on my tacos . Another reason for my 4 star vs a 3 star rating is the grilled shishito pepper and onions that come with each order. Prices are pretty cheap here is my third reason for the 4 star rating. read more
