Original review (see update below): Haven't even bothered with our food since the person who handed my food to the drive-thru person tonight had their mask pulled down below their nose. Tried complaining to person at the drive-thru window but she just gave me a blank stare. Follow state COVID-19 rules if you want my business in the future - it isn't too much to ask. UPDATE: I returned on 11/1/2020 to give this newly opened restaurant one more chance. Every employee visable to me was properly wearing a mask. Now about the food: My kids really liked their carne asada fries. The price may seem high for the area, but the portion was really generous. Very sharable. The meat was lean and tasty. They used 3 different cheeses (including nacho cheese sauce) which was interesting; everyone liked it. My carne asada taco had a lot more meat than other street tacos in the area. I ordered a side of pinto beans that was very tasty, but seemed slightly undercooked. The flan is good so I will definitely get that again. Since everyone was masked this time I have upgraded the star rating to reflect the food quality. read more

Wow, 5 star for this place! Their mission statement is so true. The love and quality is apparent. The birra tocas, rice, bean, salsa and agua de melón are authentic and delicioso! They have mice and vomit in the corner of the mens room. There workers handle cash then make food with the same gloves on. There managers speak rude about me in Spanish thinking I don't understand . They also serve plastic in my burrito. read more

The only reason they got 2 stars was because the employees were all so nice. We tried all the different meats in the tacos, added cheese & no onions, nothing special. Also got a chicken & cheese quesadilla, nothing special. I will say that the quesadilla was filled well, however it was extremely greasy. The red sauce is flaming hot the the other was mild. Have been wanting to try this place and since we were here for shopping we came in to get some lunch. I got 3 tacos, one Pastor, one Carne Asada and one Chorizo. Bobbie got the nachos with Carne Asada. I added cheese to all my tacos. Just to be upfront these are street taco sized so if you're expecting larger tacos you might want to get a couple extra. When our food came they didn't have cheese on them, not a big deal as they gave me some, but if the ticket says cheese then there should be cheese on them. Other then that they were all amazing. The chorizo was my favorite followed by the asada. Not that the pastor wasn't great, just the other 2 had more flavor. Bobbies nachos were huge, lots of meat and melted cheese onions and cilantro. Overall this was a great lunch and we will be back in the future. Highly recommended. read more

This is the first time that tacos have made me sad. Flavorless, cold, and dry and presented with as much love as a rolled up diaper.

I don't know why I keep giving this place a chance... every time we order here for work they give me the wrong order. I have ask for birria tacos and they give me carnitas. I know birria is made from beef and carnitas from pork, the is a meat difference. I can't waste time coming back to tell them they got my order wrong. I will have to take my business somewhere else. Great tacos. Have to try the Cabeza (beef cheeks). Excellent burritos. Red sauce is HOT. Green sauce is flavorful (not hot). Would love to see a red sauce with medium heat as well as some pico de gallo. Long lines for now because they are new, but it seems to move quick. read more

Yesterday the service was horrible. It took more than 30 minutes to get our order from drive up. After 20 minutes I had to go in and stand there while they prepared my order, which they hadn't started. Food was fine. There's a reason it's called 'fast food'. Simple order, 3 tacos , French fries and a drink. It took FOOREEEEVER!!! I had to check on my order, the girl then opened up 5 foil wrapped tacos then decided mine was ready. She then informed me the strawberry drink went bad. Why wouldn't they inform me when I ordered? Then she said they would check in the back to see if they had more. I finished my food and she never let me know. Tacos were soaked with grease. No napkins were available to wipe my hands, they give them with your greasy tacos but failed to give them to me. Birria was so dry and looked as though it was squeezed into little logs of ick. Ordered consomé and received a bowl of straight grease. Husband ordered the burrito and it was very tiny filled with mostly rice and beans, barely any meat. Hopefully Lancaster's doesn't change. I miss the food truck. read more

TEHACHAPI LOCATION: The employees have two speeds. Slow and stop. Customer service is severly lacking and they cannot count. Three combos = 3 burritos + 3 fries + 3 drinks. It's not rocket science! Items were missing in the order, which is surprising considering how freakin long it took to get the food. Went back to the restaurant & I waited a good 3-4 minutes before any of the employees acknowledged I was at the register, yet I made eye contact with each one. No apologies for the missing items or for my inconvenience. One employee asked another to get the missing items, he said OK, but nothing happened. I continued to wait. Drive thru orders were being filled and no one was doing anything to correct my order. Needless to say, after a good 15 min of my time wasted, cold and severly over priced greasy food, our family will never go back. Its a shame because this place used to be great when they first opened. We will be sticking with Bean Me Up from this point forward. Their customer service is always spot on, their food always fresh and hot and we have never had items missing from our order. Ever. read more

New in town and so incredibly glad to find this place!!! Fresh, tasty and the kind of Mexican food I like...authentic!! My normal "go to" elsewhere is a tried and true famous chain called King Taco. El Superior rivals them easily! Carne asada is tender and delicious and the salsas are yummy. The folks working are super nice and the portions for burritos and tacos is very good. I see other reviews that say this place is going downhill. I agree. Sadly. This place started off great. Love their burritos. And their red salsa is outstanding. Unfortunately my last couple of visits have been less than desirable. The service is friendly, but not good. Last time, they didn't give me salsa at all. The time before that, they left out a taco. Today I waited 35 minutes in their drive through. We talked at length about salsa. Then they gave me 4 small containers of salsa that were each less than 25% full. They seriously looked used. It was to the point I could not trust these were not someone's leftover salsa. So I wasn't going to eat any of it. I had been wanting to try their Al Pastor burrito. It was decent but I had it without salsa. :-( Unlike other reviews, I think the food is still good. But it could be a 5-star place. When you consistently goof up my order. You consistently provide me a bad experience. A burrito without salsa would be like a cheeseburger with no bun. It's not the same thing. I think I'll drive the extra 3 minutes and head to Taco Samich the next few times. read more

Those Carnitas are so tender and flavorful, the pastor is out of this world and that Asada is top grade, no chewy pieces or toughness I drive from Bakersfield to get my fix and it's totally worth it!
