The pupusas are always good and fresh! Service has always been wonderful and the prices aren't too high, especially for some good food!

The best pupusas in town. We drive 45 min from Tehachapi just for pupusas. I just wish it was open every day.

So I just so happened to be out in Arvin working , didn't bring anything for lunch and I was…read morecraving Mexican mariscos. It's as if all the stars aligned and it was meant for me to have found this hidden gem, and I'm sure glad I did. My co-worker and I arrived around 10:00am and it was not busy at all, so we sat down wherever we wanted and were attended to right away. The place is not big inside at all but just right, makes it feel homey. Our server was friendly and we had a couple questions about the menu items which she answered without a problem. We started off with the free chips and salsa that she brought out upon greeting us which were delicious, everything sounded good on the menu but ultimately I went with the Campechana, my co-worker ordered the shrimp cocktail and three shrimp tacos.OMG the Campechana was perfect! The seafood inside was fresh and abundant the broth flavorful so good you didn't even have to add anything to it. They have this little bottle of salsa on the tables that's homemade that I highly recommend it's a bit spicy so beware! My co worker devoured his cocktail and tacos and said it was the best he'd had in a while. Overall good food , good service I will be definitely making the drive out to Arvin with my family soon to try some more of those delicious sounding menu items!

When it arrived, it looked decent -- the beef was pretty good, but the chicken was rubbery and tasted flat-out bad. Definitely not what I expected. The service was painfully slow. At one point, we actually had to go to the kitchen to get anyone's attention. What was supposed to be a quick meal turned into an hour-long stop, mostly just waiting. The restaurant itself is cute and has a great vibe -- it really feels like you're in Mexico. The staff was friendly, but no one seemed to be in any kind of hurry. We were hopeful, especially since the staff only spoke Spanish (usually a good sign for authentic food), but unfortunately, the experience was disappointing overall. I don't recommend this place -- there are other spots nearby that are much better.

We wanted to stay downtown and were craving papusas. After weighing several options, we landed on…read moreSabor Latino. None of us had ever been, so we had no idea what to expect. This spot was tucked away, and I'm told the building was formerly an iHop? However the chairs looked like they belonged to an Asian restaurant because they had an image of ramen on them. There was plenty of seating and plenty of screens to watch games or telenovelas. When we stepped inside we were immediately greeted and asked to sit anywhere. (We were greeted in Spanish, and it seems like that was the primary language spoken there. So if you're not that fluent in Spanish, be prepared to either bring someone with you who is or brush up on the basics.) They got us menus and we were able to get what we came for -- PAPUSAS! They gave us complimentary chips and salsa while we waiting. And brought out two tubs of condiments for the papusas -- salsa de rojo y curtido (a pickled cabbage mixture). These tubs were huge, but were perfect to pass around the table. I ordered the papusa loca, which was truly massive and did not disappoint. There were peppers in it, but it was the right amount of spice. Really enjoyed it! Go give the a visit!

The building next-door is unoccupied and looks creepy . The restaurant windows are covered with graphics so you can't see inside and I wasn't sure if it was opened or not due to this. After entering the hostess came up to me I was sat right away. There was one other couple there. Order was taken food came out in a timely manner. I waited about 15 minutes. First time I've been to a Salvadoran restaurant where they actually brought out a tub of the cabbage and a tub of the sauce. Food was excellent. The only issue is I had to wait about 15 minutes to get my check. Other than that definitely a great spot to eat if you want some Salvadoran food.
