Everyone there is very nice and welcoming, not much English and my Spanish sucks, but it's very casual and everyone is friendly. Hands down my favorite taco spot. They're always consistent, reasonably priced, and so delicious. I've tried sooooo many taco spots in tj/playas and these are my top for sure. Hack: any taco you get, you can replace the tortilla with a handmade tortilla. The carne asada tacos already come with it, but all the other ones come with a store bought tortilla. Tacos were ok.. Oly (worker) jibbed is by charging us almost $3 per taco when they're originally $1.50. So be careful that you don't get jibbed. Hot sauce or salsa is not hot, very mild. It was our first night in TJ during LDW, so we decided to get some tacos for a late night snack! The adobada trompo caught my eye, so I decided to see what was cooking in the kitchen. The guy behind the counter was quick in making the tacos and there was also a lady whipping up fresh tortillas. We grabbed a table and someone took our order. I got the adobada, carne asada, and birria tacos. I was disappointed that they didn't have any fresh juices or horchata, so I chose the a canned orange juice. The tacos were decent and the establishment is clean, but I've had better ones elsewhere. It was nice that they also give grilled onions, radish and lime, and cucumber slices along with your meal. Hi energy restaurant with lots of locals and the best Carne Asada tacos in town. Two thumbs up for sure. I sat right at the counter and the chef made my tacos special to order right there and I was eating within minutes. They are only about a buck each and they are definitely not skimpy. Aside from the cilantro and onion they put on there, they also have their house salsa and a heap of guacamole that goes along with it. So very good! read more

There are many great taquerias in Baja, and I've been in dozens of them (but haven't been in thousands?), and this one has the best tacos I've ever had anywhere in Northern Baja, period. I got couple carne asada and adobados, and my wife had lengua, plus side of guacamole and beans. Literally everything we ordered was made right to the point. I eat a lot of tacos in Baja and always try new places, but those were the ones I still remember. Will be back for sure when I'm in that area. read more

We found this place on Yelp, saw that it was well reviewed, and gave it a try. The staff were very welcoming from the start. We found a comfortable booth, ordered our tacos, and were eating minutes later. The carne asada tacos are the best! They come with beans, onion, cilantro, and guacamole. Our favorite part of the tacos was the fresh tortillas. They are handmade on-site and amazing! We had the pleasure of meeting Javier. He is bilingual in English and Spanish and goes out of his way to accommodate guests. Javier went to the coffee stand next door to get me a latte and across the street to the liquor store to get my date a beer. It really was above and beyond customer service. read more

Tacos are good, The tacos are not cheap compared to other places. LENGUA tacos are ridiculously EXPENSIVE about USD 4.70 each.

Let me start by stating that I'm Mexican and I live for tacos. This place is not only expensive but they need to pay their employees more because they lack customer service. The owners or managers are rude and not welcoming at all. I've gone twice to this place and both times I got horrible service. They make you feel very comfortable. I speak fluent Spanish so I'm sure I gave my order right. But the gal who took it didn't. Sorry, but this place gets a lot of traffic because they're "known" I prefer to go a few blocks down and get my tacos with a smile, and for a cheaper price. The food here is so ridiculously good that the place is almost always packed.
