It was a 30 minute wait in line just to order and then another 10 minutes to get my food. In the 100 degree heat with no shade, the wait seemed to take forever. I had the three piece cod with a small side of fries, the coleslaw, and a root beer. The total was a little over $23. The fish was very hot so I couldn't eat it right away. It was crispy on the outside and flaky on the inside and the pieces were very large which is what I would expect from the $14 price tag. The fries were ok. For $2 I received a very small scoop which was entirely covered by the fish. At first I thought they didn't give me the fries. I was considering a large order but that was $6. I chose the tartar sauce and the sweet chili for my dipping sauces. They were ok. They were in little cups while some of the other sauces were in packets. The coleslaw was shredded cabbage with a sesame dressing. Not what I was expecting but it was good. A little pricey at $3 since it was a small cup. The root beer was very warm because it was not refrigerated. I was expecting a cold drink, especially on a hot day like this. I had to set it aside and go get a fresh drink from Lowe's instead. Very disappointing. I was tempted to try the chowder but I couldn't justify another $6 to my bill for an 8oz cup. I'd try the food again if another truck is coming to Las Cruces or the surrounding area.
