Like most other reviewers, this was found when I needed something other than pasta and pizza. The food skewed towards the sweeter side without much spice. Despite not having an "authentic" flavor, the food was very tasty. Consider yourself lucky if you can snag a table, as seating is very limited. Friendly staff, flavorful food, and cheap cocktails made this is a winner!

We are Californians visiting Rome and decided to try our the Italian Mexican food. First impressions- hole in the wall, good smell, and great staff.... luckily the food did not disappoint!! Great flavor on the pork tacos with an Italian twist. Well done!

Heaven. When your light burns out and Saint Peter welcomes you to the Pearly Gates, it will be these tacos you wish that ultimately did you in. It would be an honest death, a clean death, if you may, a blissful death. The Coliseum is amazing, the Parthenon gave me chills, and yet my fondest memory of Rome will be a taco shop nestled on a side street in the midst of arguably the greatest city there ever was. "I didn't know men could build such things" - David from Florida, when referring to these tacos (also Juba from Gladiator). Go. Now. Stop whatever worthless thing you are currently doing and go eat these tacos. Everything else pales in comparison, this I promise you.

Very friendly people and nice little restaurant. My burrito was delicious. Only one thing wasn't ok: the burrito was not very warm, but it was delicious :)

They closed 10:30pm not 11:30pm I arrived 10:20 and was able to ordered but rushed to eat, so didn't fully enjoyed my tacos. Plus staff didnt let me use restroom... tacos were super cheap 5 euros for 3 Tacos.. I orded 2 beef and 1 vegan.. beef had yellow melting cheese on top and I didn't like it... however, the vegan with beans was super good end up ordering 2 more..

I have no idea what there's negative reviews. It's cheap, it's good! The nachos are perfect! Beef, chicken and pork tacos. Were honestly perfect. With sooo much pizza and pasta around, this is a perfect change. You can't really complain about the pricing. The quality is good. People are nice and it's pretty live. Not recommended if you are petty or complain a lot. It's a freaking taco place and it's good.

When you need a break from the thousands of pizzerias and spaghetterias, Lol. Please DO come here. I'm from California (Born and Raised in San Diego), and I will endorse this place, this eatery is not the best Mexican food I've had, but probably the best you'll have in Italy :-) We ordered THE CLASSICO Tacos, they were delicious. The ingredients were fresh and complimented each other well. We also ordered some nachos (Guacamole + Jalapeño Jelly) delicious as well, although the chips could be better (generic, store bought). Tip: Fry FRESH tortilla chips! It will make all the difference! All in all, I would definitely come back here. The food was good and the service was great. Please visit this place if you need a break from bread, ham/cheese sandwiches, pasta and pizza. BTW: The place is small, not ideal for groups, unless you plan on taking it TO GO or OK with sitting outside on the street curb. The inside probably seats about 8-10 people...MAX.

If you need a break from all the amazing pasta in Rome this is the spot you need to go to! Doors open at 6 but in recommend you show up a little later since they take a little bit to set up we had 3 tacos chicken, pork, and Chorizo! All were amazing!!! So good we had to try a burrito too!

If you are craving fresh Mexican food, look no further. For almost a month we have been eating Italian 3x a day. We had a strong desire for some vegetarian tacos and burritos but we're very skeptical of finding an authentic restaurant. This small taqueria is not traditional but creative and bold, displaying modern photography and art boasting Mexican culture with bright hand painted furniture (for sale). We had the Loco Vegano burrito, 3 different types of tacos, nachos and the Mexican Mule. Spicy and fresh ingredients with surprising flavored like jalapeño jelly. 4 beers on tap and a small dessert menu as well. We will be ordering food to-go to get us through the next two days.

Really good tacos! Full of flavor, heat, meat and spice, it was exactly what I wanted after so much bland Italian food. Unexpectedly pleased

Tasteless and cold, small local, the nachos weren't bad. I was personally disappointed.

The wall décor is way to graphic.I had to cover my son's eyes and ended up spilling my overpriced beer.

Open Baladin was on my list of the most popular bars in Rome on Yelp (in terms of number of reviews) and it was close to where we were at, so we made out way in the afternoon on a Friday. Ambiance (4/5): Open Baladin looks a lot different than your typical Roman establishment. Bright colors, quirky decor, and a beautiful bar area are some of the highlights here. We sat at a table as we wanted to avoid the bar stools (no back support so I've never been a fan). Service (3/5): Typical Italian service. Not terribly attentive or friendly but gets the job done. We had to track down our waiter once or twice to order a beer and close out but that's standard fare in Europe. Food (3/5): My partner in crime had a burger while I had a sandwich with proscuitto and cheese. Pretty much your typical Italian sandwich. Fresh and adequate. Though a bit overpriced. Drinks (4.5/5): This is the highlight. Open Baladin has a fantastic selection of beers including those that I would qualify outside of your typical run-of-the-mill. They have a Belgian beer section of the menu which is always an indication that a bar takes their beer seriously. And most interestingly, for me, they have grape beer . . . say what?! I had never heard of it either. Beer made with grapes, that's a first. While it's not something I would order often, I very much enjoyed trying something new and unique like this. And here I thought grapes were just used to make wine! If you're looking for a cool spot to grab a brew, with a fantastic beer list, and a different vibe than your typical Italian bar, make sure to check them out!

That being said, he wanted to try some beer bars during our time in Italy so we put a few on our agenda to check out. Open Baladin was one of these spots, and since we had some time before our dinner reservation we stopped here for some beer. Walking in, I was really impressed with the space - it's large with a combination of high tops and tables throughout the dining area. The back wall housed the bar which had bottles stacked up to the ceilings - this made for a really striking focal point. The color scheme was mostly dark woods and warm colors which fit well for being a beer bar. The menu had a large selection of beer, I decided to go with one of their holiday varieties which was quite good. They had a small food selection, and I specifically noticed they had a variety of homemade chips. These seemed like the ideal snack so I ordered some of their original variety which came with homemade ketchup. These were great - not greasy and the ketchup really made it something special. Service was good, everyone was friendly and overall we had a great experience at Open Baladin. Even if you're not the biggest beer drinker, there's enough variety to find something for most people, and the food shouldn't be overlooked.
