Forever my cinco de mayo spot! They were packed today with a line out the door. New menu from my last visit. The breakfast tacos HIT! Happy to support their charity AND use inKind too

Actually really enjoyed the food here. The birria tacos were super good actually and a good size. Wish it was cheesier. The broth was good. Rice and beans were a bit dry. Definitely would recommend the food for a quick and casual meal. Pick up is super easy.

Stepping into Tacombi feels like walking into a restaurant in Mexico City with the grittiness of the colors and painted signs. It's a great feeling! The tacos are solid with fresh corn tortillas and well-seasoned and cooked meats. Would recommend!

I was in the area and my kids and I were thirsty. We stumbled across Tacombi and when we walked in, the first thing we saw was, "JUGOS NATURALES". I would have settled for some pharmacy brand water but was excited to have some real fruit juices. The woman at the counter was very nice. My son and I picked the Jamaica (Hibiscus), and my daughter opted for the Piña. The piña is sweetened with bits of pineapple in it. I liked the flavor and she finished every drop. Be advised that the hibiscus is unsweetened, and is highly tart. I don't usually have added sugar to my drinks, and I love hibiscus so I welcomed the tartness. However, THIS hibiscus is legit, and very concentrated, so definitely add at least a few drops of agave to cut the tart. I still liked it but I definitely puckered lol It's funny, because I've never seen Tacombi before, and since we visited, I've seen one other a few days afterwards, during another trip to the city. Safe to say, I'll be in the lookout for this franchise I'm the future.

Who knew good Mexican restaurants were in the upper west side!! This was an excellent taco spot and besides were delicious too! We loved the large guacamole, corn taste, and rice and beans. My favorite tacos were the Pastor and Carne Asada service was wonderful and we were seated quickly with lots of indoor options. Also, the pineapple aqua Fresca delicious. It ended up being a little more expensive than I had thought, but delicious nonetheless! If I ever find myself in the upper west side again will be stopping here

It's a decent spot! Service was a bit slow when we came in as it took a while for us to finally get our order in, but our server was kind. I'd say the items are definitely overpriced for what they serve (almost $7 for one birria taco) and honestly didn't have much flavor to back up the pricing. I also ordered corn esquites ($5) which wasn't awful for the price, but the corn-to-condiments proportions were off as there was way too much corn for very little cheese and other ingredients. I ordered pineapple juice which was pretty delicious, but I don't think I'd come back unless it's for the specials they have listed on specific days.

Really enjoyed Tacombi! Me and my kiddo shared the guacamole and chips to start and I got myself a Jamaica beverage. My daughter got the kids rice and beans and I got the shrimp taco and the pollo asada taco . Everything was delicious, fresh, and looked beautiful. We really enjoyed our lunch after a long morning .

Tacos were okay. Portions were depressing Service was good I realized as soon as I got my first taco they make everything small so the photos look normal portioned but no salt on table was small, tacos were tiny, my mile was tiny, even the pencils on the table to order were tiny Won't come here again Too expensive for such small amount of food

Tacombi is a cute, old school esque Mexican restaurant. We ordered the below: Rice & Beans Avocado Tostada Baja Crispy Fish Taco Sinaloa Shrimp Taco Black Bean & Sweet Potato Taco Watermelon Agua Fresca Hibiscus Agua Fresca The odd part was that even though not many tables were filled with customers, it was hard getting someone's attention. The drinks were quite bitter and I don't like sweet things, but that was a bit hard to swallow so we asked for agave. The food was good for what it was, an elevated version of Taco Bell and Los Tacos No. 1, but not the same energy as the taco trucks found in LA.

Ordered on Uber eats; the food came quick. They gave a good portion of food. The food was good but nothing to brag about.

The avocado is no good clearly and the shrimp in the taco weren't evenly distributed. 2 shrimp ??!!! REALLY .

A $14 order and this is what I get . The avocado is no good clearly and the shrimp in the taco weren't evenly distributed. 2 shrimp ??!!! REALLY . Since when has the service and food changed , it's like we pay more for less. If this continues I won't buy anymore more from here .

Tortillas are made to order right in front of you, and the whole experience just feels authentic and joyful. I had the steak and pork tacos, my friend got chicken -- we went back for a second round. That says everything. A few tips for first-timers: -- Don't sleep on the quesadillas. Seriously. -- If you like crispy tortillas, order the tostada -- they deep fry it and the result is incredible. -- Get the Horchata. It's not overly sweet and pairs perfectly with the tacos. The staff is 10/10 friendly and efficient. Don't be intimidated by the line -- it moves fast. Case in point: on a rainy morning, there was already a line at 11:01 AM (the place opens at 11). People know what they're doing here. The atmosphere is relaxed. They have nice, authentic music playing at all times. Highly, highly recommend.

We had our usual list of spots in Midtown East, but this time we wanted something a little different. We ultimately landed on Mexican, however even then there were several spots to chose from. One of my colleagues found CdM, and since we had nothing to lose we decided to check it out. In terms of physical space at CdM, there is very little; this is actually a walk-up spot hence it is solely a takeout restaurant. The menu is pretty straightforward - lots of Mexican staples with a good variety to choose from. The burrito bowl looked good so I decided to go with that - I was given choice of protein (I chose pastor) and types of beans (I chose black). The bowl was really good - all the ingredients tasted fresh and they were generous with the portion. They added sour cream to the top of the bowl and it came with a side of salsa verde which I thought was a nice touch. We also ordered some bags of tortilla chips to share - these were my favorite kind as they were semi-thick and super crunchy. Overall, I had a solid experience at Cinco de Mayo. It definitely hit the Mexican craving spot and I would have no qualms returning for another meal.

We ordered: Nachos - they were ok Fried calamari - overly salty, slightly fishy, and COLD Chile relleno - underwhelming, lukewarm Hibiscus pomegranate iced tea - tasted like grenadine water. Zero pomegranate or hibiscus flavor. Also, different prices between brunch and regular menu. We were charged regular menu price. Overall, super underwhelming and not worth your time or money. If you are someone who is looking at an aesthetic place, this is a top contender. Unfortunately, I would say this place is better looking than the food is good. Personally, if it wasn't for the drinks and the space, I cant say this place is worth it - you're not coming here for the food. Another little complaint I have is the women's restroom on the second floor - right by the door is a floor to ceiling mirror which I understand was included to make the space seem bigger, but my friends and I agreed that it is a little misleading - I kept wanting to walk into it thinking there was more space there and not wall. I would recommend maybe putting a decal on it to clearly show its mirror.
