Nearly 4 months to complete, billing errors, and unsatisfactory workmanship - that was my…read moreexperience with New Heights Development, LLC. Initially told the job would take 3-4 weeks. In total, it took 4x longer - 16 weeks. Scheduling was consistently vague, and commitments were unreliable. Extra charges were added to the final invoice for tasks like installing a hood vent and four light fixtures. I was not notified of these additional charges before or during the work, and I only became aware of them upon receiving the final bill. Because this work was completed without prior notice or pricing disclosure, I was not given an opportunity to review the costs or compare prices beforehand. I was charged in full for work that was unsatisfactory, or not completed at all. (See pictures). I was verbally told that I would not be charged full price for certain incomplete work. The final invoice reflected otherwise. Things would be left unfinished for weeks on end. (The old toilet left in the bathroom, shed debris left sitting in the backyard grass). Several items took multiple trips. (Shower surround, door sweep, drywall repair). Some items are still unsatisfactory after multiple attempts. Some of my personal belongings were damaged, for which I received no credit or reimbursement. Contractor noted that they provided work at no charge. Several of those items were either included in the contract or work that was required to repair their work. They added the final payment as a charge to the final invoice. I had to have them correct their billing error. Had I not caught their error - I would have been overcharged. I have not received lien releases, which I requested.

The highest of praise goes to New Heights Development LLC. We took our time to find just the right…read morecontractor that would listen to what we needed and wanted. From the moment we met Joel and Ashley we were all in. They listened, understood the need and showed so much kindness and respect. Even with some roadblocks, from suppliers and time issues we got exactly what we asked for. My dad has a safe environment to shower. Joel made sure that every safety bar was reinforced, the shower wand and shower head is in perfect placement for safety and usability. The frameless glass shower door and side panel are beautifully secured. The team is clean as they work and very respectful of our time and needs when it came to use of the space. I am so glad we decided to have New Heights Development LLC. remodel our bathroom space. Not only is it exactly what we needed, it's beautiful and we gains some amazing new friends. On a scale of 1 to 10, they're easily a 12. I truly cannot recommend them highly enough. The craftsmanship was exceptional from start to finish, and every person we worked with was professional, personable, and a pleasure to have around. They were consistently punctual, respectful of our home, and communicated clearly throughout the entire process. Costs were laid out upfront, and when the final invoice arrived, there were absolutely no surprises. If we ever need work done again involving decking, roofing, or siding, Personal Touch Exteriors, LLC will be our first and only call. And as if all of that weren't impressive enough, of the three bids we received, theirs was the lowest. Top-tier quality, outstanding service, and a very reasonable price -- that combination is rare. Do yourself a favor and hire these guys. You'll be genuinely glad you made such a smart decision.

We had a unique situation of needing to replace windows at the same time as we replaced siding…read more.. Emmanuel heard and saw my delicate needs. My house is older, and as they removed the old aluminum siding we discovered the house would need to be wrapped in MDF(?) plywood. Some parts of the house only had framing under the siding. Our replacement windows were ANDERSON WINDOWS at a fraction of the cost Anderson asked for. Every day/night the house was left water safe and secure. Each window was properly flashed, properly caulked. After the plywood, a new fresh water liner, and then the siding.... The workers were delightful, hardworking and left each day with a clean yard and work area. After siding, the house was painted-- no oversprays. My garage doors and front patio were included in getting painted. This company is top quality, top notch. Prices are reasonable. 5 Stars from us!

I read the reviews here and other locations before choosing to work with Chris and South Sound…read moreStructures. I can understand some of the critical criticisms being posted about. I have worked customer service for almost 30 years in home services. The crew doing the work did not have fancy matching uniforms. errors were made during the process, as can happen with any service. From what I saw, the crew worked well together. They behaved and communicated in a professional manner while at my fiancées home. When a problem arose, they jumped on it to resolve it quickly. When I expressed concerns, they were addressed in a professional manner and Chris, Brie, and Matias were always attentive and aimed at providing a positive experience. Chris owned all aspects of the job from start to finish. He took ownership for his crew's performance and made sure I was satisfied with all aspects of the service. He is a small locally owned and operated business owner. His team did a great job and I am very satisfied with the results. I would use their services again without hesitation, and I will actively refer them to friends and family. Jobs do not always go smoothly. For me, it is not about If mistakes are made, it is about the resolution and final product. Standing by your work, taking pride in your team, and doing the right thing seem to be traits in small supply these days. South Sound Structures and Chris exhibited those traits from start to finish and that is why I will be happy to work with them again.

Working with Blue Line Construction was by far the easiest project I've ever had to do. I've worked…read morewith my fair share of construction companies over the years and Blue Line was hands down the easiest to work with. They were quick, responsive, flexible, and very personable. They actually cared about my project and didn't treat me like I was a chore, which is more than I can say about other companies I've worked with for similar projects. The custom cabinets they installed next to my fireplace are perfect. They are exactly what we needed and they look like they have always been there. Their attention to detail was extremely appreciated. The work is seamless down to the caulking and paint finish. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a stress free project done right.

Honestly, I don't even know where to begin with the issues that we had with this company. I won't try to bore you with paragraphs and paragraphs of detail, so here are the highlights: * The project manager (Donovan) was so dishonest and incapable of his role as a project manager that the owner (Marvin) ended up terminating him from the company right in the middle of our project... leaving us with NO project manager and we were charged a $10K project manager fee regardless * They FORGOT to add insulation, gutters, and the required landscaping (grading) for our project to the estimate. * During the design / engineering process, Blue Line's team inserted changes in the proposal that was to be sent to the county for permitting and did not tell us about them. If it wasn't for my father-in-law catching the discrepancies, we would've never known. (ex: changed our roof from asphalt shingle to metal without notice). * Since Blue Line delayed siding installation after roof install, didn't haul away a 6ft tall mud pile right next to the addition, and didn't follow the proper grading procedures for the landscape, we had SERIOUS water damage during construction (see photos attached) * The owner (Marvin) saw the photos of the water pooling up on the floor and did not initially want to pull back the drywall or insulation to check for water damage. His said "it should be fine". I had to cease progress on the entire project in order for the owner to take my concern seriously. * When the owner came out to finally come clean up the garbage / dirt / excessive foliage out of our yard, he damaged the slab our outdoor A/C unit was sitting on. Their crew is extremely careless. * With all of these issues, you can imagine how upsetting it was for my wife and I. Unfortunately, Marvin (owner) stopped returning our phone calls and text messages because we were "too mean" and "had to take a mental break from our project". After the water damage fiasco, we did not hear from him again. We had to try and manage communication through an alternative measure. We never received project updates, and my wife and I were continuously trying to keep the project going. The owner didn't know what type of insulation to put in our roof, nor what window was per code... How does a general contractor not know this? Finally, no one ever showed up for a county inspection either. My husband and I had to figure our way through them. Anyways, if you've read this far... I apologize for the long read. I wasn't really planning on writing this review, but we hope we can save other people from hiring this company and dealing with the constant headaches and stress. Please, please do your research and know your consumer rights before you hire ANY general contractor. Otherwise you end up with a deceitful company like Blue Line Home Construction.
