What an extreme disappointment this place has become over time. It's funny when I look back at my first experience here I. The late 80's as a kid, it was bad but they made it right and what will be my last experience here about a a month ago, it was even worse with no effort to make it right. We had orders some bean burritos with no dairy, regular bean burritos, mexi-fries, crust is and crisp bean burritos. I had no had a thing to eat all day and it was about 30 minutes before closing when we hit the drive through. Our ordering experience was far from fun as the heavily accented man on the other end kept interrupting us while we were ordering, repeating the wrong item and when we get it corrected kept totaling the he order and asking us to pull forward. We kept telling him we wanted more food and it started again. Finally we got what we wanted ordered and up to the window we go..... Our food was handed to us and as we were about to pull away (I was in passenger seat) I dug in the bag as I was famished. I immediately noticed the crustos were not included so we gave a honk (still at window and nobody behind us) to let hem know they forgot part of our order. Nobody came. Honk again, nobody came. During this process I was digging out my dairy free burrito and was surprised at how thin it was. As nobody had came to the window I got out and went to the window, looked in to see them sitting there so I banged on the glass. They finally opened it and I asked for our missing item. I was given some 'tude then the crustos and I asked about the burrito being so small. I showed her the burrito and she said yeah that's the way they come. I asked her how much they charge for those she gave me the price which was $1.79. I explained how that wasn't right that there is virtually nothing in this tortilla and she said that's normal you get one scoop of beans and that's it. She hen shows me this scoop which did not help my hangry sense of justice and value at all. I explained that this was bullshit and for 1.79 I could get a can of beans and make 25 burritos of that size using her tiny scoop. She said "that's normal" but I will make you new ones. I just wanted to leave as the "burrito" was thinner thank a sideways tater tot and I was one hungry hombre. Taco Time used to be the gold standard for Mexican Fast food but based on the Oregon City location, this chain has gone in the toilet. read more

Good mexican food, a bit more expensive than taco bell but I think the higher quality, better selection and more comfortable setting is worth it. The staff is friendly, the service is quick and the inside is very clean, well maintained with not too loud music playing. I've been coming here for a few years, surprised it wasn't known to Yelp. I'll keep going there - I like their weekly special and when I'm feeling broke the 4 for $5 options. read more

OC Taco Time has been a fav of my grandson and I ,for years. Always great service ,and friendly. Until recently. I am not one who needs perfect service, and companies have ups and downs. For us ,it's the quality of the product right now. Small burrito's and large drinks filled with ice. Soda is one of the cheapest things a company can give. I would hate to see this location close, but the people running it right now just don't seem to care about the customers at all. Cooperate makes millions. It is simply Taco Time. It is fast food one step up from Taco Bell, they are in the same category. I do not expect more or less. Our location in Oregon City has always done well by us. We have never gone inside, but we use the drive thru when the craving for fast food strikes us every once in a while. I always get the same thing. I get the "mexi fries", bean burrito, and a crispy chicken burrito. I have nothing bad to say for them seeing that it is fast food. Overall it is okay for what it is. The "mexi fries" are glorified tator tots with little seasoning, but they are always cooked just right, not undercooked or burnt. The Crisp Burrito is great when you are craving greasy fast food, it has some flavor. The Bean Burritos are slightly better than Taco Bells. The quesadillas look like road kill, but are great for kids. At the very least I do not get the funny, sick feeling I used to get after eating at Taco Bell. I do not like the hot sauce. I actually prefer Taco Bells. It is a step up from Taco Bell, for fast food it is pretty good. They have never messed up one of our orders. Be careful when you leave the drive thru, there is a huge blind spot and I have seen many people get in fender benders trying to pull out. It is almost safer to go inside, and then leave from the parking lot entrance. read more

I don't understand how this place is still in business. I thought I'd give them a second chance after having a bad experience about 5 years ago. That was a mistake. This place has terrible food and really high prices. I had the bean burrito. It was smaller than Taco Bell's, cost twice as much, and tasted like I was eating chunky rust. We have lost a lot of great restaurants in Portland over the last year and it bewilders me how this place is still in business. I just don't understand. Please, don't eat here! I like Taco time. I'm a simple gal..I like tater tots and crisp meat burritos. However, over the years Taco Time has raised their prices substantially! A crisp meat burrito a few years ago was like $1.79 and now it's around $3.00! Tater tots, aka "mexi fries", are spendy whether it's small, med, or large, and you get hardly any regardless of the size you pay for. It's disappointing because I sometimes crave my favorites from here but I'm not always in the mood to wait 15 minutes in the drive thru and to pay over $10 for a few fast food items. read more

Stood in the lobby to pick up an online order for 8 minutes before an employee came out to say "One second" before walking away. No "We'll be with you shortly" or "Thanks for waiting." My first time here... not super impressed. Checked their menu out before going. When I got there I didn't see the burrito I'd decided on, so I asked if they had that. After a little back and forth thru the drive thru intercom she said yes, they did. Cool. Fast forward to biting into said burrito. Was supposed to have rice, pinto beans, guacamole, cheese, lettuce, tomato and ranch. What we got was a flour tortilla with a taco seasoned meat... not even sure if it was beef. So I have lived in Oregon city all my life and been coming to taco time. At lunch time today I came thru the drive thru. Made my order and they messed it up. I didn't know till I got 20 miles away. Lady who took our order was very nice and patient with us. She repeated our order before we drove up to the first window and all was well. The reason for 1 star is that the food we received wasn't correct or good. Almost all rice in the burritos, mexi fries that were almost soggy, and they forgot 2 of our burritos while giving us one we didn't even order. I love taco time and always went to the one on 82nd in Clackamas with no complaints. Never again will I go to this OC location. This is the second time we've been disappointed with them in OC. Shouldn't have given them a second chance. read more
