An older lady with short grey hair took an item of food away from me without me giving permission. She simply walked by and literally took it out of my hand. I've never encountered such treatment in my life. I paid for my food with my own money and should be able to have it. Fire her immediately she has a superiority complex when she is an elderly women working in a taco time. If she has an issue with me she could have spoken with me rather than blatantly disregarding me as a customer. Of all the Taco Time locations near my home, this is the best one so far. I used to eat regularly at the Clearfield location, but it closed permanently, so I had to find another one to frequent. Kaysville is a bit farther than some other locations, but it's worth the drive to satisfy my craving. The service has always been friendly and efficient. The restaurant is larger than any others, and is made up of several seating areas in rooms. The parking is mostly to the south side and in the back. If you park out back, you have to walk through the seating to get to the order counter. The salsa bar and drink station are located close to the order counter which can be a bit congested when the restaurant is busy. I've ordered many different items on my visits, but I favor the sweet pork options. I've tried the bowl and the burrito and enjoyed both. This location is the most consistent with the preparation, where as other locations can be hit and miss. My husband and I really like the mexi-fries (tater tots) because they are prepared with just the right crunchiness and saltiness. The sad thing is they've changed the packaging to use a round cup with no lid that doesn't hold the tots very well. As with any fast food, the prices keep going up, so we've not eaten here as often as we used to. I'm sure I'll be back again since it's a preferred meal at my house. read more

When did Taco Time start charging almost $5 for a taco!? Ended up spending $45 on food for my family. And the worst part, the service! They forgot my cheddar fry and when I went back, the girl at the window said I didn't order one. Showed her my receipt (where they charged me for a mexi fry rather than a cheddar fry, which I still didn't get).. and she had an awful attitude. Argued with me about it until she finally gave me my cheddar fry. When I got home, opened the lid to 10 tots. Container HALF EMPTY! $3 for 10 tots, 30 cents each. Outrageous! Plus, the $5 tacos are filled with mostly lettuce. Probably the last time you'll see me at Taco Time, definitely not going back to this one specifically. read more

This is the best taco time I've ever been to. My kids were so excited by this place. They have a small play area, some TVs, and a great salsa and drink bar. The service was great and the food was delicious. I recommend the crisp pinto bean burritos for kids and sweet pork burrito, as well. read more

The owner of this Taco Time also manages the one on State Street in Salt Lake (400 South?). Huge, bright, clean restaurant. Great food. Friendly, efficient employees. Lots of drink options. Their drive-thru lane is tight. Close to freeway exits and entrances; and my son's place. They even have a play place for kids! Normal songs. They test new products here. They have cilantro rice bowls, loaded tator tot sides, and frozen desserts. Next time I'll try their brisket burrito with a spicy peanut sauce. And fresh limeade. read more

This Taco Time is way better than most Taco Times!! I came here a lot growing up and still do. Some of my favorites are the Chicken BLT Burrito, Crisp Meat Burritos, Chicken Taco Salads, Breakfast Burritos, and the Empanadas (specifically pumpkin and Bavarian cream!!). I know it's fast food, but it's surprisingly good quality here as far as that goes. Better than Taco Bell or anything else that's similar in my opinion. This location is also really big, has a fun theme throughout, workers are nice, and it's kept very clean. I'll keep coming back when I need some quick, good food. read more

I love Taco Time. The best fast food veggie burrito I've found. I love how they put the sunflower seeds in there to give it a little more crunch and texture. Their hot sauce is by far my favorite fast fast-food hot sauce. And oh, the Cinnamon Crustos. C'mon, just too good. This Taco Time is one of the better ones. It's very busy on Friday and Saturday nights. It could be a little cleaner on the inside, we had to ask someone to wipe a table for us. And the floor had food under the tables. They have a nice little salsa bar. The food is decent for fast food, not authentic Mexican food but good Mexican American food. Our favorite thing to order is the crisp meat and crisp burritos. And a great throwback to elementary school is the crispy tater tots, they are bad but so good. Don't you love it when you're pleasantly surprised?! At this Taco Time the prices are high, for a fast-food joint. But the food is good. I had a sweet pork burrito that was heavy on the pork, filling, & fresh. My churro was delicious too. Shockingly, I would have given Taco Time 5 stars. There are two reasons I detracted a star. First, their drive-thru menu board is ridiculously convoluted & hard to read. Second, as I mentioned before, the prices are not on par with other fast food restaurants. I have been to this Taco Time about three times. I have to say that it is the fanciest Taco Time I have ever been it. The wait staff is friendly and seems to be efficient. Every time I have been in there I have been dissapointed with the quantity of the food. The value for the buck just isn't there. The quality of the food is fine, but the portions are lacking compared to other establishments serving a similar fare. This trip I ordered fish street tacos. The looked good in the picture. It appeared that there were three good sized tacos in the picture. The price was about $4. So I ordered them. Bad plan. The plate showed up with two very small tacos on it. The corn tortillas were about 3" in diameter and the fish stick was about the size of my index finger. It looked like an appetizer. I could not believe it. They tasted ok, but not great. I used to be a fan of this Taco Time but it has gone downhill so much over the last couple of years. We had our third terrible experience in a row tonight and we will not be returning. Our Mexi-fries were so undercooked that they were falling apart in the container....and there were 8 total tots per cup. The crisp bean burritos were soft and undercooked. We paid $10 for a Nacho plate that was essentially a half order and the chips were old, there were 4 small pieces of chicken, the guacamole was not fresh and the whole dish was just unappetizing and soggy. Their prices are much higher than their fast food contenders but the food is lower quality. I'd much rather eat at Del Taco for half the price. It has been a long time since I've eaten at this place. The tacos were tasty. The Mexifries (tater tots) were good. While we were there, one of the employees came around handing out free ice cream samples. It was after the lunch crowd had left, but there were still plenty of cars in the drive through as well as plenty of people in the restaurant. All in all, it was good food and good service. I wish I could give them 0 stars honestly. Trying to order my meal was the first red flag and we should have left at that. I tried to order I guess what you could call a custom item and they gave me something totally different. The grande mexi-fries were absolutely appalling. The chicken ranchero burrito had old dry chunks of breaded chicken in it. Night break a tooth trying to eat it. The employee who brought out our food told me that that's what I ordered. When I tried to explain that it was not what I thought I was ordering he sort of brushed it off and walked away. Flat sodas. The plain tots that came in the combo were forgotten. Horrible. Over the past 20 years I have been to this location about 5 times. I go. It's disgusting. I swear I'll never go again. 4 years later I give them another chance. Last night was THE LAST TIME. 2 hard tacos with stale shells and horrible textured "meat" with no flavor. Totally gross. Threw them out. 1 large Mexi-Fry. Cold (cold grease) . Unseasoned. Threw it out. 1 tamale burrito. Cold. Like refrigerator cold. My husband tried to gag it down. Threw it out. Garbage can 4. Us 0. They should be embarrassed. I don't know how they stay in business. Very disappointed - This place is beautiful inside and out. 6 years ago, this was the only place I would go for taco with substance. Now, I have been bitten the last three times. VERY little meat in a $3 soft taco, in fact, there was more meat in my $1 crisp taco!!! Now that Del Taco is in Layton, I would rather spend the 49 cents, than loose $3 for a small and unsatisfying soft taco. This is a beautifully decorated restaurant. 5 years ago my wife and I decided that this was the best Taco Bell in Davis county and would go way out of our way in order to enjoy eating here. Tonight, however, I went in to reminisce, and was sorely disappointed. I ordered a Chicken Tostada Salad. The total came up to about $5.50 and it made me sad because wasn't filling at all. The staff was very nice and the restaurant was really clean and nice, but the food wasn't very good or filling. They didn't even include the sour cream that I paid an extra dollar for. I had to go ask for it after the order came. Needless to say, I think I will try some other Taco-time's and see if they should take this ones place as best in Davis County. I'm giving it a 3 star instead of a 2 because while I was sitting there eating a waitress brought me out one of their Mexi-ice's. read more

How is it that this Taco Time has so few reviews? The Kaysville Taco Time is clean, fantastic staff and the food is yummy. The staff at this location is the kindest one you will find. I do not know what kind if training they do, but they are wonderful. I wish other fast food restaurants had staff like they do here. The food is yummy, it is Taco Time. What sets this location apart is it's staff, the fun decor, the cleanliness of the restaurant and how family friendly it is. They have an area with blocks for the younger kids so you can enjoy your food while the kids play. If you order a kids meal have your little go look for the stuffed toy Nemo. When they find it and after they have eaten what you deem enough they can go to the counter and tell one if the staff where Nemo was hiding. They will be rewarded with a small treat, usually the fantastic Mexi Ice! It is funny how a great environment makes your meal better. The drive through is just as great. The staff is kind and helpful and patient. This is wonderful as my daughter likes to change her mind as we are ordering! Last evening we arrived thinking they were open later. Mind you we were 10 minutes after closing time, but a recent trip to Subway on Gentile 5 minutes after closing where everything was still set up ended up with us being turned away at 7:05, the menu board was dark. I turned to my daughter to ask if there was something else she would like. Then the lady inside said,"Welcome to Taco Time, may I take your order?" Who does that? Most places would turn you away. I appreciate that they took our order, as it was the only thing my daughter wanted and was not happy about us being late. I know it is fast food and if you ate like me you do not expect much in service. Try this location. You will drive the extra time just for the service.
