First of all, it smells amazing. That brisket can be smelled a mile away! I always get the bird tacos and they are delicious. Tacos are big and fill you up! Love when they bake the cheese on the side of the taco. read more

Customer service was fantastic and helpful with my dietary questions. Food was quickly prepared and was delicious. Wish the parking lot was bigger. read more

Torchys Taco- like shop, but lacking some key ingredients. The queso is not good, period. The base cheese lacked a smoothness and the spicy pepper flavor of the jack cheese didn't show. I couldn't finish it. The chips are fresh but the queso needs improvement. For tacos. The bird was good but maybe a tad too much on the blue cheese. The Hot Chick was the favorite of the bunch, loved the hot honey combined with a good piece of fried chicken, would order that again. The pulled pork on some of the other tacos was mushy and lacking in flavor. read more

Well, gotta update the review as I had a chance to go back and try more menu items my last visit and these truly are some of the best tacos. The flavors are unique and delicious. The service was great and the restaurant was clean and inviting. Absolutely enjoyed alllll the things. So many things left to try on the menu. I'll definitely be making sure we come back. read more

This place is a celiac's dream! They are knowledgeable and very careful! I had the OG and churro fries and my husband had a pair of tacos that they cheerfully made dairy free. If you're wheat or dairy free and you're hungry, this is your place! read more

The Smoked Taco - Everything in this amazing spread is gluten free and the only dairy is the whipping cream for the churros on the side. - Tacos Near Me - Bountiful, Utah

The smoked taco was so good. The food was plentiful and I enjoyed the variety and all of the flavors. I had the fleeing Californian, The bird, and chips and queso. The tacos are a good size, full of toppings and filling. I especially enjoyed the Californian. The steak was tender and everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The kids meals were awesome and come with churro fries! I will definitely come back to try more stuff! read more

The fleeing Californian is delicious but on the pricey side. I'd come in more often if the pricing was lower and/or they gave a discount for 2 tacos. read more

This place is decent. As far as tacos with a twist go, it's alright. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here, but when I'm in Bountiful, Utah, and craving a taco, I'll pop in. The OG taco was really good, while the one with chicken nuggets was just okay. The restaurant itself is fresh and new, providing a clean and inviting atmosphere. The decor is modern, and the seating is comfortable. The service for a fast-casual spot was adequate, though not exceptional. The staff was friendly and efficient, but there were a few moments where the service felt a bit slow. Overall, it's a solid choice if you're in the area and looking for a unique take on tacos. It's worth a visit for the novelty, even if it's not a destination spot. read more

Horrible - everything is drowning in sugar, felt like I was eating dessert the whole time.

I have wanted to try this place for a while now. I will start by saying we went for an early lunch. We ordered 5 different tacos to try. Three tacos included guacamole, which was a small scoop, and it was still partially frozen. The server stated they freeze it the night before, so it is fresh, but it made the taco cold. The shrimp taco has miniature shrimp, not enough to get one in every bite, and it was completely overwhelmed with all the sauces. The Coconut Shrimp taco has no coconut flavor, but again is overwhelmed with the mango pineapple salsa. The tortillas are overcooked and hard to bite into, and they don't need two tortillas as it is too much with the amount of meat and salsa in the taco. We removed one of the shells from each taco. The sauces and flavors are good, but the balance of the ingredients is way off! The queso and chips were good. The queso was hot and creamy, and the chips were fresh. I had high hopes for this place based on the name, but it didn't live up to the expectations. read more

Wow. If you love tacos this place is a must visit. Creative, fresh, and delicious. I paid a visit with four of my friends and we were all blown away. Very friendly staff who gave great recommendations. This will be a regular on places frequent. read more

Food was decent though I don't know if I'd say $40 for 4 tacos is worth it. Service was very underwhelming. We placed a takeout order, in store at the register, at 12:32pm and didn't get our food until 1:23pm. We were told "I have 3 "instore" orders to do ahead of you" while they preceded to give food to people who ordered after us. I would recommend avoiding this place for the most part. read more

Food is amazing and unexpected. When I heard the word "taco" I made some assumptions but each taco' is a delightful experience that I never expected. Hands down the best Taco's I've ever eaten. I even had my husband drive to the one in Bountiful so that we could get a variety of flavors. We both loved them all. Please open a store in Salt Lake so we will be closer to it. I can't say enough great things about it! read more

My family loves Smoked Taco. They have a great variety of- something for everyone. My wife is on a low sugar, low carb diet and loves the salad. The kids each have their favorite. The staff is always friendly and they are quick in their preparation. read more

Awesome service. Fantastic price. You get a ton of food for the price. Everything we ate we really enjoyed. Definitely worth a try. I can see us eating her regularly. We had a lot of food leftover. Even 1-2 tacos was plenty. They fill them very full. Great place read more

They totally sent the wrong tacos! My husband is a vegetarian and they sent brisket tacos.

I ordered online tonight and when I arrived in about 5 min. I walked in to find staff bagging up my three Gringos ready to go!

These are the most "Tex-mex" tacos I've had so far in Utah. I'm impressed. I had the Gringo and the Fleeing Californian. Both were delicious, but the brisket on the Gringo still haunts me. I always have that issue of "they say it's brisket...it looks a little like brisket, but can I taste the brisket? Can I taste the goodness of the brisket...?" Well yes - you really can here! If you're hungry, you will need 2 tacos because they aren't huge, even though they are larger than street tacos. But if you're really hungry or have a big appetite, 2+ will be necessary. read more

Very good and fresh food. It's so different when I am in town, I'll eat here multiple times. You can't go wrong with any of their fresh tacos. They say "street", but can fill up a grown man with 2. read more

Tacos are relatively expensive and taste is average at best (I tried Gringo, surf and Turf and etc). The queso is actually not too bad. Probably won't be back read more

Food was delicious and unique. Food was delivered so unable to comment on the service and ambiance.

I haven't been into this location but have had it delivered many times and I am so impressed by the variety and quality of their tacos. The taco salad was also good, but nothing beats their tacos and I find myself craving them! Hope to see more locations north in the near future. read more

I daydream about Smoked Taco more than I care to admit. I'm not a big fan of Mexican, but add a BBQ slant to it, and I'm sold! Every taco I've tried has been delicious! I was excited to try the Southern Waffle (Jan '25 special), and it was indeed incredibly yummy! The Memphis and the Bang Bang are my favorites so far. I get the Smoked Smoked Corn Elote every time I go. It's amazing and delicious! Seriously, try it! read more

Good place to eat! We loved the service and recommendations that they gave. The food was delicious!!

It has a lot of seating for a place that looks so small from the outside. Service is usually good and staff seems friendly. I have enjoyed every taco I've tried. They have a wide selection and amazing toppings. Haven't found one I didn't like. They're not that big but stuffed to the brim and very filling. Definitely going back, again and again! read more

Quick and friendly service. When I went the soda fountains were out and they had limited bottled options. The food was ok. Definitely a unique take on the street taco. My personal preference is less on the taco is more. The smoked taco uses sauces and toppings to flavor the taco and the meats are secondary. More like a tostada than a taco. Chips and queso were good. Some of the chips were undercooked but the queso had a good flavor. Unlimited chips though, so that was a plus. read more

Friendly and service oriented employees. A wide variety of taco choices and a lot of flavor going into each one. My bang bang had a bit of a kick and I loved it! read more

I hate writing negative reviews, but I have to here. The food isn't good. Like not even slightly. I think Taco Bell may be a leg up. To be fair, I come from a decade living in the Phoenix area, so I'm accustomed to superb Mexican food and excellent street tacos on the reg. This was neither. My family and I had the Bang Bang, Bird, Double Tap, Gringo, Fleeing Californian, Smoked Corn Elote, and Quesadilla Kids Meal. There was little meat to be found among the ample sauce. The sauces were not inspiring in any way and the tortillas themselves were not good. The menu descriptions way oversold the incredibly mediocre (and that's being generous) food served here. I ate some of my meat and threw the rest away...sadly. The elote was the worst part. The corn was dried out and bland and the serving was covered with heaps of tasteless deep fried onion crisps, which were also scattered on top of the tacos. The service was very pleasant, so I gave two stars for that. Best avoid this establishment if you're looking for decent street tacos. None can be found here. read more

This place might be the worst place I've ate... The food was horrible over seasoned with sweet meats nothing savory or good about any of it ... even the salsa was awful and sweet... I'll never waist my $ at that place read more

The Smoked Taco is a new restaurant in Bountiful that I was excited to try! The restaurant is spacious, clean and comfortable. They have a great selection of tacos and some other fun side options. We ordered the bahn fire taco, the bird, the gringo and the hot chick. The Bahn Fire was 100% my favorite I would definitely recommend! I was especially impressed with the corn tortillas. The staff was kind and also gave us a side of the masa fries. Overall a great experience! I will definitely be back to try more of their menu. read more

Delicious tacos. Had surf and turf and a chicken one, can't remember the name of it. Both were yummy and filling. Two tacos for each of us was plenty. Also has chips and queso, this was ok, not very spicy but good flavor. Staff were friendly and quick. Highly recommend this place. read more
