Thank your lucky stars for El Dorado Tacos because their delicious tacos pack a fierce punch! The tacos are only 1.25 and you can add as much toppings and sauce as you please. The truck itself is not very flattering as some other trucks I have seen, however, there are several tables conveniently placed near by so that evens out. They also added another window which helps with ordering and picking up. There's also a stereo on wheels that plays Spanish music in the background. Since opening their store front location their attention to detail has fallen off the map. Admittedly, my experience was amplified because my wife and 3 small kids were waiting for me in the car. The bottom line, the order was taken, then changed because they ran out, then I got shorted on my order. I placed an order for a mix of tacos, quesadilla and beans. The carne asada was gone, so I changed those to Chile Verde. Al pastor is a popular flavor here and we ordered 6. 10 minutes in, about the time most people get their food, I was told they were out of al pastor. These are my kids favorite, and frankly the only reason we choose this place, but now that enough time had passed the carne asada was ready, so I changed them all. Another 15 minutes rolled by, so now my wife and kids have been waiting almost a half hour. This may be an acceptable wait if there had been more than 3 people in line, but it was me and 2 others. After all our food comes out, I'm short the 2 chile verde tacos I had to originally change when they first told me carne asada was not available. I told them I was short 2 tacos, a $2.50 retail value, after I'd now been waiting 30 minutes and both the owner and the cashier proceed to question me on my order, telling me I only ordered 1 chile verde. I came up to the window with a written list because I'm OCD like that. I don't believe they were trying to scam me, but I am 100% sure I ordered those 2 tacos. And now, instead of treating me like a guy who comes almost every week during the summer, they treated me like some guy trying to take advantage of them. Personally, I won't be going back. This little taco stand is awesome. My wife had the Asada Burrito which was huge and packed with really tender yet charred steak. I pounded down four tacos with rice and beans. I had the Asada, Barbacoa, Chile Verde and Al Pastor tacos. My favorites were the Al Pastor and the Asada. The selection of salsas and toppings were good, the coolers were very clean. The truck was very clean, both on the outside and inside. There was ample parking and easy to get to, right on interstate 89. It was great to have a place to eat outside the truck. There was a clean table with a nice umbrella to catch some shade while eating. It was fairly busy at lunch, but the lady working inside was gracious and accommodating while she was so busy. I sat outside on stone table with Mexican music playing in the back ground. If your too cold you can always eat inside your car. Really good Taco Truck! The staff was very nice and helpful, the price was cheap, and the food was quite good. We ordered some Carne Asada Tacos, some Chicken Tacos and some Beef Taquitos (we actually ordered potato ones but got home and realized they'd given us beef) The carne asada was good, but not really like "steak" it was almost more ground meat like, like the "steaks" they use for philly cheese steak in cheap restaurants. But again it was still good and well-seasoned, i had gotten excited for it because another reviewer said it was really good, but wasn't quite as impressed as id hoped id be. The chicken was very delicious and moist, and though the tacos are small they are super cheap and you can just get a bunch of em' in different fillings! They also have a big cooler out there that you can load up all sorts of toppings and salsas out of, so that's a nice bonus, you can customize it to your own taste or eat them plain. The taquitos, or flautas that we got (i am still confused as to which they are, as i kept ordering them as "flautas" and they have both listed on their menu, but he kept replying taquitos, and said "taquitos" when they came up) anyhow what we ended up getting was the beef ones, and they weren't awesome. The price was cheap for what you get (5 for $5) but they were a little too crispy, and the beef had an off flavor to it, sorta made me feel sick. Ill for sure make sure they actually give me the potato ones next time as that is what i was looking for. They have a good selection on their menu and even some more rare things like "Beef Cheek" and "pork Rinds". I was also quite excited to try the Carnitas, but the gentleman said they almost always sell out early, so it must be good! I will certainly stop by this place again, and keep trying to get my hands on those carnitas, also next time i think ill do 4- 6 tacos instead of the only 2 i did last time. PS: CASH ONLY read more

I don't know how I never tried this place before. The inside is interesting, with a small market on one side and a TV playing a court show in Spanish. I was unsure, but all of my doubts are gone now. I ordered three tacos (1 each of pollo, asada, chile verde) and a side of beans. The tacos were small, between 3-4 inches in diameter but I was told that up front. They were stuffed full of authentic, delicious meat, and there was a salsa bar to doctor them up. I had onion, radish, cilantro, and an avocado salsa. My husband had a smothered asada burrito, and I kept stealing bites because the flavors were amazing. The refried beans were flavorful and a good consistency, covered in cheese. The chips and salsa (additional cost 2.75) were fresh and so good. We will definitely be returning, and I recommend if you're in the neighborhood, pass on El Matador and give El Dorado a try instead. read more

You aren't going to find the best tacos you have ever had here, but for a very cheap meal, this is the place. The barbacoa is awesome! I would have posted a picture of my food, but I ate it too fast.
