I went in today and ordered, sat and waited. And waited. Food came up and I ate it pretty fast as I was very hungry and left. Twenty minutes down the road my stomach made that sound. Yes, that sound, and I had forty minutes of driving before I could get home. I went here for dinner with my family, (we haven't had fast food for about a month) and everything was amazing. The cashier was so kind and very informative about the details of our coupons, along with him double checking our order with us to make sure there were no mistakes. We ordered takeout but while we were waiting for our food we got to look around and it was welcoming, they had a bunch of plants and different decorations that felt like I was in the middle of nature! Best Taco Time in existence. I normally don't review chains, but every now and then there is an exception. This is one. This Taco Time thinks it's a deluxe little cantina, complete with beer and items not available at other taco times. The lobby is awesome, the whole place is spotless, the food is amazing and it even has a salsa bar with real salsa, peppers, ranch, yogurt ranch and Santa Fe ranch. Wow. I got a Big Juan burrito and a crisp meat but I've also had nachos here. No matter what you get, you won't believe it's fast food. Basically this franchisee took a national name and made it his own. For years a good friend hyped Taco Time. Living in Los Angeles, we do not have this tasty treat so when I made it to Clarkston earlier this summer this place was high on the list. I can see why, it's freaking amazing. Higher quality than Taco Bell and better service, they even let me ring the bell. The fact they serve beer is also a nice touch. So now I sit back here in Los Angeles and Del Taco just won't do the trick. I miss you Taco Time, and I hope to make it back within your walls one day. read more

Great place to eat the people that makes your food likes you. Food is amazing, one thing the restaurant needs to work on is their employees talking on the floor about customers. As an employee, you need to be professional and do your job, dont mess your customers order just because you dislike them. I went thru the drive thru on July 24th. Historically the drive thru is very fast. I initially had issues just placing my order. Staff couldn't understand me and I had difficulty understanding staff. I was instructed to pull forward to the 1st window where she would give me my total. I got to the first window and no one came to that window so when the car ahead of me pulled out, I pulled up to the 2nd window. I sat at that window for 20+ minutes with no one coming to the window. I was finally acknowledged. I paid for my order, it was delivered and I began to pull out. I didn't go far and decided to review the contents of the bag. At first glance I was missing two items. I turned off my vehicle and went inside. I gave the bag with the receipt to staff. One of the items was in the bag but the other was not and following review of the receipt I had not been charged for the missing item. I paid, under duress as I could not believe how expensive 1 soft taco was! Staff never apologized, they acted as though I was imposing upon them. I mentioned the long wait, again no apology, no acknowledgement. There were two tables occupied in the restaurant. I can not in any way understand the delay and the poor handling of my order and the lack of courtesy upon discovery of an incorrect order. I will not recommend this TT to anyone in the near future. I was appalled as this is not in any way typical of a Happy Day Restaurant. read more

For starters, the overall customer service was awful. I pulled through the drive through and the guy taking my order couldn't hear me and instead of being polite about it, he sounded quite rude and made me repeat myself 3 times and didn't get my order until someone else came over the intercom. Then when I got to the window to pay the guy who took my money, Aaron, was quite rude and had terrible customer service. This Taco Time is different from any other Taco Time I have been to -- In a good way. When I walked in, the first thing that I noticed was the decor. It is set up to look more like a full Mexican restaurant than a fast food place. Our service when we ordered was good, and they easily agreed to changes such as substituting stuffed mexi-fries for regular ones in the combo and not putting beans in the burrito. Before we got our food, we checked out the condiment bar. There is a great variety of salsa, ranch, chopped onion, cilantro, and other condiments. There were also tortilla strips which we appreciated. When we received our food, we found that there was a problem. Beans had accidentally been put in our burrito. When we took it back to the counter, the employees were very apologetic and quickly made a new one without beans. This was the only problem that we had, and it was easily solved. read more

I had to suppress an audible laugh when I moved here and asked around for dining recommendations, and this Taco Time kept getting listed. I thought it didn't bode well for the area if a Taco Time was one of the go-to eateries. But I kept an open mind, mostly because, to a person, they always followed it up with, "It's not like any Taco Time you've ever been to." And they were right. This place is great- fresh ingredients and every thing prepped daily; a fantastic salsa bar with a huge selection of salsas; hand made tortilla chips (the nachos are some of the best I've ever had at a restaurant). Just go here. Not like a normal taco time. It's totally decked out way better than any legit Mexican restaurant I've been to. There's a cool outside patio, a sunroom area, and cool decorations all over. They even label the booths that have outlets!!! How nice! The service was very nice and the food came out quick. We ordered two specials, one was a pineapple pork burrito and the other was a gyro burrito. I really enjoyed the pulled pork in the burrito. This is going to sound crazy but this is the best Taco Time ever! If you're travelling through the Lewis/Clark Valley, don't go to the Taco Time in Lewiston, that one kind of blows, instead, visit the one in Clarkston! Try the 5 Alarm Burrito, it's a tad on the spicy side to most people but it packs some mad flavor! It's more expensive than Taco Bell, so if you're under the impression it's going to be cheap it's not that cheap, but it's not expensive at all. I have been going to Taco Time for years, and this was no ordinary Taco Time. The environment, the service, and of course the food were amazing! The folks working there were very friendly from the ordering process, to enthusiastically encouraging you to enjoy the salsa bar, to the staff who came around to make sure everything was good and even gave you a mint (and she remembered my name from ordering)! They even had a busser! One staff member went out of her way to get a cup of water for an elderly patron so he didn't have to walk too far. The decor is not reflective at all of a fast food chain, but a cute little cantina with mosaic tiled tables, cute southwest vintage decor, and even a sun porch. They even labeled seats that have outlets right by them for folks who need to charge up. Hands down this is the best Taco Time I have ever been to, and I could say with confidence is likely the best Taco Time on the PLANET. read more

I love everything Happy Day and thoughtfully recommend everything Happy Day as the family who owns it are upstanding community supporters. I see the owner in his restaurants all over the town and a couple local ones he doesn't own but I believe he attends as a member of the community. Happy Day supports Boys and Girls Clubs, Northwest Children's Home and many more. Taco Time is fantastic without that, but I want to go to Happy Day Taco Times because of the Finch family. read more
