Quick stop to The Food Yard to try Jose's Tacos and wasn't left disappointed. The tacos are soft and tender. I would definitely stop by again for my next street taco craving. The service is fine. My favorite way to dress a traditional street taco is with cilantro, lime and salsa verde and at this stop you have to ask for everything specifically. When I was handed my order my plate felt incomplete without a couple slices lime and an option of salsa. However, ask and you shall receive. I travel down here for work frequently. I found this place when I NEEDED tacos. It wasn't a want, it was a need. They don't have taco Tuesday deals...but still the cheapest tacos I've had in awhile. 4, with a drink for under $11. My favorite is the lengua. Not many people have it, and it's few and far between for them to be good. These are the best lengua tacos I've ever had. You can take that to heart, because I've eaten tacos all over the country. Great hospitality and tasty Mexican food! Stopped here on our way to Spokane, based on great reviews. No one mentioned that this is a truck with outdoor seating. Shared a carne asada super burrito; others in our group had tamales, quesadilla, enchiladas and chicken sope. All were tasty! Note that the restrooms at the convenience store next door were out of order. Had to walk down to the Subway and use theirs. Some of us got sunburnt on the walk to and from. Best Mexican food in the valley, no competition. I've been to El Sombrero, Paraiso Vallarta, and several others. They're good- but Jose's is great. Wonderful value on their tacos, the grilled burrito is phenomenal, and their tamales are perfect. Love LOVE the fish tacos, the lengua, and their al Pastor? Don't even get me started. So good. Having just moved to the LC valley from San Diego, we were missing taco shops. Thankfully we found Jose's. I was stoked to find he has a California burrito on the menu, which is a San Diego speciality. In addition, he has homemade horchata which is fantastic. We will be back (probably too often). Very good Mexican food and friendly service at an affordable price. Definitely worth the stop, but be aware the food is prepared in a trailer: this isn't a restaurant, it's a "street taco" place. The menu includes a selection of tacos, burritos, tostadas, quesadillas, etc. There are non-alcoholic beverage by the bottle available. Your best bet is to buy the meals to go unless you're OK sitting on a picnic table in the parking lot.
