There isn't much seating inside and on the day we were there it was unseasonably cold, so patio seating was out of the question. We were able to play a little table Tetris with some of the other diners and piece together a spot for the three of us. The interior is decorated with lucha libre masks and art, so it adds a funky vibe. There was one waitress holding down the restaurant and she was on top of it! She greeted us and was back within a few minutes to take our order. I'm primarily vegetarian, but sometimes splurge on seafood, so I couldn't pass up the Shrimp Al Fuego taco as I love spicy food. It was large for a street taco and was packed with large, juicy shrimp. I will say it was not that spicy, as advertised, (although I have a high spice tolerance) and a bit on the expensive side, but very flavorful. I do wish the tortilla was warmed or toasted to amplify the flavor. They had a huge selection of hot sauces, including some local ones, which was really cool. I was tempted to try a margarita, but they didn't have the seasonal huckleberry jalapeño available, so I decided to stick with water. So my husband and I made sure we ate there on a recent stay in Spokane (middle of June, 2026). When you first walk in the door (and we arrived early, thank God), there are paper menus to pick up. You think you should go straight to finding a table, but NO no no. If you look to your right you will see a big sign instructing you to order at the counter and THEY will find you a table. This was my first time here and there was no line, so I really didn't want to walk up to the counter and order hastily. My husband had a great idea. He would order us margaritas and I grabbed a table to wait. Not really correct, but I felt okay about it as the place wasn't crowded ... yet. Well we watched as everybody walked in and headed straight for a table. The servers had to tell each and every one of them to get in line and wait for the staff to send them to a table. Awkward to watch. However, we had a fantastic time. The food was incredible. I highly recommend the birria tacos, the tostada appetizer, and the churros. We also enjoyed the margaritas and the server told us if we needed any additional drinks to just come up to the bar and step to the left of the line and he would take care of us.
