One thing I really liked was the wide variety of protein options on the menu. I ordered two tripa tacos and was very happy with the flavor. The tripa was well-seasoned, and the tacos were satisfying overall. The staff on the truck were friendly and patient while I decided what to order, and I never felt rushed. My food was prepared quickly, which I definitely appreciated. The only downside was the price. I paid around $11 or $12 for two tacos, which is a bit more expensive than the food truck I usually visit. That said, I assume the higher price is due to the Lakeview location. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely stop by again if I'm in the Lakeview area.

Where do I begin?…read more First of all, the restaurant is very colorfully decorated, which instantly brightens the mood. We were able to seat ourselves, and immediately afterwards the waitress brought complimentary salsa and chips as she took our drink and food order. The salsa and chips were very good. The chips were crisp and freshly made and the salsa had just the right amount of kick to it. It was sweet and unique and I could see myself ordering it as a to-go order. For our entrees, I ordered 3 street tacos and cheese dip. My guy ordered the steak fajita plate. After a short wait, our food arrived, hot and fresh off the grill. I wasn't a fan of the pollo taco. It was bland and lacked any type of flavor. However, the campechano and chorizo versions were much better. The cheese dip stayed watered down even after it cooled but had a good flavor to it. I looked up to see my guy reaching for the salt shaker several times. I tasted a small serving of his steak. Yall..,.I kid you not. That steak had no type of seasoning-no salt, no pepper, no nothing had been sprinkled on it. To sum it up...it was overcooked and under seasoned. He kept trying to doctor the dish up by adding salt and pepper but after a while stopped because that should've been done in the cooking of the dish. He only ate a 1/3 of his dish. Upon paying the check, he attempted to share his disappointment with the waitress, who now all of a sudden, doesn't understand English. Keep in mind, we had been communicating with her just fine throughout our time there. Needless to say, we will not be returning to the restaurant location anytime soon. I've visited the truck before and will return there.

I was expecting it to have beans and shredded cheese as well as the beef, lettuce, tomato and crema like every other taco salad I have ever gotten. Instead the beef was in large pieces almost like they chopped up a hamburger patty when cooking instead of the typical ground beef that you find in most tacos. Additionally when they brought my food, they forgot the small queso that I ordered. Once I asked about it still took longer than you would have thought to bring it out. This experience was very uncharacteristic from my prior visits so I will chalk it up to a bad day, but I will not order the Taco Salad again. Instead I will go back to the Quesabirria, Campechano Quesadilla or Flautas that were so good before.

The entrance host was actually great and the vibe in here is legit for a real Mexican vibe. My problem was unfortunately my server. Maybe it's her first day ever or some bad day for her. My taco sampler of the BIRRIA, BAJA FISH, and LENGUA was underwhelming. My BIRRIA received an up charge because of the addition of cheese, which is fine, problem is there was very little of it. It can out over seasoned and greasy as well. The Baja fish taco was unfortunately not prepared in the baja style. Few slivers of dried up fish were subbing in for the real fried tilapia. No cabbage in them either. They did not provide any limes or salsa for the tacos. You have to special request that apparently. My Lengua taco had plenty of meat but it was not fresh tasting. I was bummed as this was already three strikes on my tacos. But the glimmer on the horizon were my 1/2 DOZEN RAW OYSTERS w CEVICHE. The ceviche was bright and flavorful but the oysters were not fresh unfortunately.

The establishment was clean and not overly loud when we arrived at 4:00. Not busy at all, but did take a while for a hostess to greet us and seat us. Odd for only a couple patrons already seated. We sat outside to enjoy the music.... Obviously got loud once the band started and that's ok as we were here for them. Service was a little slow, even when he o my had two or three tables to attend to. The margaritas were good and refreshing. We started with guacamole and the presentation was different... a perfect mound plated rather than a bowl. It was lacking seasonings as it was very bland. Now my mistake was ordering puffy shrimp tacos. Never heard of them so gave them a try. The shrimp was good, but the rest of the taco was tasteless. Dinner was served with rice and beans, both cold. Would I go back? Maybe just for a frozen peach margarita, but not to eat. So, probably not.
