This time, however, I decided to try the quesabirrias, and unfortunately, they were disappointing. I also ordered a horchata, which I didn't think was very good. The biggest area that needs improvement is the customer service. I would describe it as average at best, and in some ways, closer to poor. I understand that no one is obligated to greet customers or wish them a good day, but when you're paying for a meal--especially at a place that isn't exactly cheap--you at least expect to be treated with kindness. During my visit, no one greeted me when I walked in or when they came to take my order, and overall the staff didn't seem very welcoming or attentive. While I was waiting for my food, I asked if I could get a little more horchata. The employee simply replied, "No, you have to buy another one." I responded, "No, that's okay." Honestly, if the horchata had been really good, I would have gladly paid for another one. It wasn't so much about having to buy a second drink--it was more about the way the situation was handled. Small interactions like that can make a big difference in how customers feel. I truly believe this restaurant has a lot of potential. If they improved their customer service and showed a little more warmth and empathy toward their customers, it could easily become one of the best Mexican restaurants in Birmingham. The food has potential, but the overall dining experience also depends on how customers are treated, and that's the area that still needs the most improvement.

I'd like to give this place another shot, but it might be some time before I do. I had the lunch…read morespecial of two build-your-own tacos and side with drink. To be honest, I knew I should have ordered one of the normal, more gourmet entrees like the specialty tacos or bowls, but I ordered the lunch special anticipating the underwhelming. Yes, the chorizo tacos were indeed that. The chorizo itself was more like taco bell ground beef rather than the rich, flavorful, oily hit of culinary bliss characteristic of real chorizo. Nevertheless, the side order of loaded tots was fantastic - uniquely dense tots that were dumpling-like and gooey with cheese. The two waiters for this Thursday lunch hour were very nice and capable; however, it was very clear that they were overloaded. As such, they were struggling to keep up, and it showed as it took quite a long time for us to get checks and for other tables to get what they needed. Again, I don't fault them as they were nice, capable, and efficient as could be given the situation. I would highly recommend an appropriate staffing level for a better customer experience as well as more customer throughput.

I also got the Blue Dream taco which was good but the chicken was dry. The elote style corn wasn't good. It had too much going on. Their $27 pitcher is full of some cheap liquor that had me feeling horrible the next day lol. Wouldn't come back for that but would definitely come back for that Lucy's taco. I also wish they gave out chips and salsa but they don't. Ultimately I would come back though!

There's some outdoor seating, but I usually just pick it up and take it to-go! The food is the best part. This time, I ordered a few tacos, and everything tasted really fresh and well-seasoned. The meat was tender and flavorful without being greasy, and the toppings were simple but perfect. They come with onions, cilantro, and lime. I am very picky, and they always make sure my order is made correctly! The green sauce is my favorite because it has a nice tangy flavor with a little heat but isn't overwhelming. You can tell they focus on doing the basics really well. The service is also great. Even though it's a busy food truck, the staff is always friendly and moves pretty quickly, which makes the whole experience smooth. Overall, I recommend it this truck! It's affordable, authentic, and has really good food without trying too hard.

Definitely satisfied the taco craving I was having. The asada and birria were SO good. The chicken was my least favorite but still good. $12 for 3 tacos and service was fairly quick even though there was their usual crowd. Green sauce was good and spicy but that chipotle? Delicious.
