Unethical business practice. Fish taco was my family favorite. It was $10 for 10 fish tacos pretty good deal. However, the store decide to screw with customers by change it to "dine-in only" for $10 dollars for 10 fish taco. If you take-out 10 fish tacos, it would cost customer $16 and some change. Taco shop did not tell customers over the phone with such change then guilt-trip about the order. (I just walked out and they can keep the tacos) Unethical business practice. The customer service here is really good. They are very nice, helpful and accommodating. Their fish taco is hands down their best taco and hard to believe it is $1. It is worth coming here only for their fish taco alone. Their other tacos are mostly good. However, I feel they put too much of the taco's main protein and not enough side ingredients (i.e., guac, cilantro, cabbage, cheese, tomatoes, etc.). Still you get a lot of bang for your buck here. This place is a good option for Mexican food in Poway. It's right across the street from Hilleary Park, which is how I ended up here. Their menu is endless! I tried a bunch of their different tacos and here's what I'd rate them: Octopus Taco 5/5 Shrimp Taco 3/5 Garlic Shrimp Taco 5/5 Fish Taco 3/5 Beef Taco 2/5 (Really Dry) Their burritos are huge and worth the money! The menu is fairly priced and you get big portions. Carne Asada fries are only $7.50 and you get a box full. My favorite item on the menu was actually their Mexican rice. It's was so good! I had recently moved to San Diego from LA. I've always heard San Diego is known for fish tacos and wanted to see if that was true. This place has some decent reviews. And how can you say no to $0.99 fish tacos? I tried it for the first time today, and it's not bad! Granted, it's not as big or good as the $0.99 fish tacos at Taco Ensenadas in LA, but for Poway, I'm happy with it. The fish was fried well. I think if there were a bit more white sauce, it would've been even better. For $0.99, it was a pretty decent fish taco. I also go a crunchy beef taco, which was ok. The shell wasn't as crunchy as I'd like it to be, but the portion was big and there were plenty of beef in the taco. In addition, I also ordered a cheese quesadilla which was great. Great burritos, but lousy service with an attitude, even after getting a tip added to the order. There werent many other tables to serve. We sat outside. I asked if we could have more salsa, then waited until we'd eaten half of our food, but nobody came back out. So I went back in and asked for one of the same bottles that the indoor table was using so I didn't have to spill another small tiny container since I was holding the baby. The server acted like I was going to steal it. "Make sure you bring it back." Are you kidding? "We treat outside seating like to-go orders." Then why did you ask for and take a tip at the register? Plus Taco Taco's staff and owner are courteous and friendly. A secret undiscovered eatery in the Poway Walmart/ DMV shopping center. I am surprised there is a place to sit for lunch on the weekends and that the line is not out the door. My wife and I have been going there for a few years when we go grocery shopping on the weekends. Once we take friends from out of town there, they always want to go back when they are back in town. Ok let me start out by saying that I usually get the $1 fish tacos... I know I am cheap haha. They are actually pretty good and I think you can order 10 of them before they get to $1.50 or something. At $1 they are definitely worth it!!! The salsa on the side is definitely a nice compliment too. Last time I was in there (about a week ago I believe) I ordered the California Burrito which was renamed to be the Poway burrito or something from what I can remember. It was massive!!! I had lunch here again. I would usually post food pictures, but, as usual, we dove into our plates before thinking of it. The food here is seriously amazing! This time, we had the Everything Fideo with shrimp, carnitas, and chicken. It's an Asian Fusion of Mexican flavors and is really to die for. Just try it!! We also got the puerquito shrimp tacos that were incredible. The shrimp is more of an Asian style with a very light breading than the usually heavy breading you see. Lastly, we had the Caesar salad that was really big and perfectly dressed. While the restaurant style and prices suggest taco shop, this food is really something special and they do table service! We generally like a few cold beers with our meal, and the servers were super prompt bringing them. The owners are always present, and everyone is super friendly. Forget crossing the border to Mexicali if you want some fusion sino-Mexican fried rice. This place is it! I just randomly found this place while waiting for my electric car to charge. My son and I were blown away at the food! Definitely worth a 30 minute drive if you want good clean fish taco or some crazy fried rice! Also people who complain that the dollar fish taco isn't as good as some of other restaurants are out of their mind. Saw the sign for 99c fish tacos and my sushi plans for the night faded into thin air. They are so quick with the service and the staff is super nice! All of the Poway flair with some of the best fish tacos I've ever had. I can't say enough about the fantastic service and the hospitality shown at this place! I ordered four fish tacos to eat in, and they served me two big bottles of salsa while I ate. I had a Mountain Dew which tasted better on tap than many other places (I drink a lot of soda) I feel bad because when the server brought the check I asked for four more to go, not yet knowing they closed at eight, like five minutes before I left! Taco taco, where have you been all my life? The hubby discovered this little, unassuming looking shop in a Walmart shopping center about a week ago. Today he invited me to join him on his lunch break at Taco Taco. It was amazing! Our waitress was very sweet and super helpful, answers our questions about the menu. I ordered the carne fries and the Hubs ordered a California burrito. Both portions were ENORMOUS! We could have split one order of something and still been stuffed to our gills. My carne was delicious. Usually I add a little salsa to my carne, but the meat was so flavorful and juicy it needed nothing else. My fries were fresh and crispy, the guacamole was fresh and chunky. There was no flaw in my dish. I will be back again and often, and I cannot wait to try many more dishes from their menu! read more

Taco taco never disappoints. They have $1.00 fish tacos all day everyday. They are on the smaller side but hey $1! They come on corn tortillas and a slaw/sauce. They are very good! The food was great! The staff is not very friendly, helpful or available. Upon entering the restaurant I saw people placing orders at the counter. It appeared they were taking the food to go. I should have gotten in line with them and gotten mine to go as well. I am disabled, require an assistive device and service dog. There is seating at the counter or several high tables in the front area. They have a few lower tables towards the back of the restaurant for larger parties. A very nice gentleman took my order but I never saw him again. A lady who I think is the owner seemed very bothered by my walker and service dog. She went out of her way to move me along as soon as possible. I ate as fast as I could and left my chips and guacamole virtually untouched, paid bill and moved on.
