    WALKING NACHOS
    Dana S.

Let me start by saying that the restaurant ran out of CHEESSE and a lady had to run to the store to buy some ‍I was not informed until after I inquired about my food. I actually waited over 30 minutes for fast food! I requested a refund & was told by the cashier that she s was unable to give a refund. Hunh However, she did apologize. When I finally got my Nachos it was good but the cheese was warm not hot. Very disappointing!

The cashier was extremely rude and curt. Granted they were closing in a few minutes, however they were still open. Then the nachos were vile! Almost threw up. If I could give this place a -200 I would. Just plain nasty

    CHEESE QUESADILLAS

We stopped in tonight before the Rockers game and it was a bit disappointing. I ordered the quesabirria tacos and sadly the meat was tough. Ordered a cheese quesadilla for the kid along with a side of queso-which doesn't come with chips. No sides included in the birria either. Our meal was $26 which I feel is a lot for the quantity and quality. We'll prob choose other places next time.

    Pastor and mango fish tacos

(3.5 stars) "Overpaying at Stock + Grain" is getting ready to join death and taxes among life's certainties. Thus, the operative question shouldn't be "Is the food overpriced?" but rather "Is the food good enough for me to not mind?" In the case of Taco Street, the food hall's newest tenant, the answer, so far, seems to be "Maybe." Positives first: the menu here is commendably huge, and it boasts a few things not easily found elsewhere. As befits the name, you can get tacos with a variety of toppings: everything from pastor/fish/steak/chicken/birria to chicharrons, squash, or Hawaiian BBQ. If tacos don't scratch your itch, there are also pastelitos, "drowned" taquitos, and pambazo sandwiches. On variety alone, Taco Street is winning. I ordered a pair of tacos - one pastor and one mango fish - to go. At $4.50 each, they were (surprise) no value, but they were prepared quickly and delivered in the flavor department. The pastor especially was spicier than expected and very tasty. The mango fish was more subdued. Though not a disappointment, I don't know that I'd get it again. While High Point has an abundance of Mexican eateries, few have the street food emphasis that Taco Street does. That makes it worth investigating. Your taste buds will likely be happy even if your wallet will not.

Great menu! Not the usual offerings!

Visited for their grand opening and was not disappointed! Delicious food and great service! I liked the spin on the calabacitas, using summer squash rather than corn. The quesabirria was delicious too! So much meat inside and freshly made! Set in the Stock and Grain food hall so there are other options nearby to make sure everyone your party gets exactly what they want to eat. We had a pizza from next door as well!

We ordered a birria fry here as part of a shared food court variety lunch. The fries were huge and had plenty of meat on them. They were a perfect combo of crispy and soaked. Overall, absolutely delicious and a huge portion.

Taco Street is located within the Stock and Grain Food Hall located on Elm Street in High Point, NC. This was not my first visit to Taco Street. My first visit I had a Cuban Bowl and I have to admit, I was not a fan. Plastic eating utensils trying to cut through what was a VERY fatty piece of pork belly was not my idea of fun. Let me say this, I am glad I decided to try their tacos! I had the Birrea taco and the Hawaiian taco. I enjoyed them both but the Birrea was my fav! The Hawaiian taco, while it was tasty the BBQ sauce was too much. I also had an order of churros with the dolce de leche dip. The churros were perfectly fried, crispy on the outside and warm and fluffy on the outside. The service was fast and efficient!

Bland plain rice, nasty chicharrones tacos that were soggy and wet. Dry, overcooked meat. I couldn't eat it

Overpriced. Small servings. Must pay extra for chips. The actual food did not match photos. Disappointed.

It was delicious and not too salty as the usual tex mex places. Your meal also comes with a side of chips and salsa. The chips are perfectly fried and not greasy. They also have the right amount of salt. All of the ingredients are fresh. One of the things I like most, is that they have four different types of pico de gallo. One mixed with mango, another with pineapple, cucumber, and then regular. I've only tried the mango and I loved it! My husband got the quesabirria! By far authentic birria. So good! We have actually been there twice before I decided to review it. The second time I got the California burrito, which is huge but tasty. The service is impeccable and the restaurant itself is very clean, including the bathrooms. We will definitely be back for more! Highly recommended!

This is an interesting dish, one that originated in San Diego in the 1980's, and soon spread across the country. It is quite different from the burrito that originated in Northern Mexico, especially around the city of Chihuahua before 1900. The dish started with the carne asada burrito and added cheese, guacamole, sour cream, pico, and even seasoned French fries. I found this burrito interesting but it is not one I'd order again, entirely too busy for me, and the texture is all over the place. I did like the restaurant overall, and will return at some point to try some of their other offerings.

I will only eat here for Mexican foods if I come to high point. The prices were reasonable as well. There was a guy who came to us later and asked how was the food. With what I learned, I just can't see myself going back and anybody who has Alpha-Gal syndrome, you may want to really think twice about what you ordered here. I ordered a vegetarian combo meal and got the food, I ate it and about a half hour later I was on the toilet, and it was not a fun night. I called the restaurant the next day because I've had this happen to me before, although with this place, I ordered through GrubHub so I wasn't able to ask questions, but you assume when something is listed as vegetarian that it actually is. Anyway, the refried beans are sometimes fried and vegetable oil, sometimes fried and lard. The day that I ordered mine, well all week they had been fried and lard which makes them not vegetarian. When you stop consuming those types of animal byproducts your stomach doesn't know how to digest them so I had this food and my body immediately was like what's going on and sure enough trying to reject it. Somebody who has Alpha Gal syndrome like I mentioned earlier can get super sick from this, like it could have serious detrimental effect on them.

The service is good as the staff is friendly and prompt on checking on you or refilling your chips and salsa. Ambiance is friendly although it was a bit cold the day we went so we left our jackets on throughout dinner. Business there is typically steady so if you go at a peak time there may be a wait. We went at 5:30 on a Friday and got right in but by the time we left around 7, the wait was a few people deep. The food is always good and portions are large. As with most Mexican places, they start you off with chips and salsa. The chips do not have salt on them so you may need to add it if you enjoy a salted chip. The salsa is good and not very spicy although my wife who doesn't do spice said it was a little much for her. I had the Cocina plate which is chicken, shrimp, and steak with onions, peppers, mushrooms, and cheese sauce over rice. This is my go to as it's delicious and always hits the spot. My wife had a fajita quesadilla that was overflowing with meat and veggies and she really enjoyed. We tried some of their Paloma drinks this last time which were very strong but had good flavor.
