We spent 35$ and a tip and we got very few beans on the sanoran veggie dogs,they should have left them off if they only put 2 beans on the hot dog.When we were down the road I called and let them know and the woman had nothing to say about it.For 6.50$ it was worth about 2$.Maybe try the Bean burrito for 9$.Or maybe they should take off the Vegan food items if they wanna be so cheap.The outside of the food truck needs a stub down.And invest in some red and white checked table cloths from the dollar store.The table and chairs are gross.I don't know why the Vegans are always posting good reviews on this place that doesn't seem to care about cleanliness and proper portion.Oh took way way to long to receive our order! read more

I've been really excited to try Taco Stop but it was a little hard to get here at a time they're actually open. Supposedly, they're open Monday to Friday 10am to 7pm but most times during these hours the truck is actually closed until today. We ordered the jackfruit tacos, carne asada burrito, and Sonoran hotdog. There are very few places in Tucson that serve jackfruit as the vegetarian/vegan option so I was stoked they actually had them. Unfortunately, I'm not a big fan of the spices they used for the jackfruit. It seemed to be overpowering probably with having too much chili powder or whatever spice it was. It probably wouldn't have been overpowering if it had been accentuated with a sweet salsa or crema but it wasn't. The tacos were $3 each came with 2 flour tortillas, the spiced jackfruit, pico de gallo, an avocado slice and a side of rice and beans. The carne asada wasn't the best either, I thought it was a bit strange that it came with cabbage, cheese, and beans but was hoping for it to be really good. It didn't work though and didn't help that the meat wasn't grilled super good. However, the Sonoran hotdog did save the meal. Although it was a bit burnt on the outside the fixings and everything on it was just right. I really would love to give more stars to this place so I'm really hoping for more improvement next time. Also, today, they didn't have their birria which would be great to try next time as well. Anyways, that's my take on Taco Stop. Hopefully, more people try their food, give them feedback so they could try to see what works. read more

Do not miss this taco truck! Stopped here after visiting Mount Lemmon and everything was delicious. Especially loved the birria tacos. Perfectly crispy shell. Tortillas seemed really fresh. Meat was flavorful and just the right amount of cheese. Highly recommend. read more

Today I stopped by this little food truck cause I was obviously hungry. Typical Mexican food menu but I noticed the bacon wrapped Burro. Decided to give it a try with the ground beef and HOLY F$@K!!! One of the best damn burritos I've ever had!! And it's hard to impress me with Mexican food these days. I don't even wanna right a review so I can keep this gem a secret but I'd be doing the community a disservice if I didn't. My family was super excited (after reading such great reviews) to finally find our go-to taco food truck--but were sorely disappointed. First off, my burrito cost $12 and they charged me about $15. We were really confused about the $3 tax. Next, the carne asada meat was terrible. It left a very strange flavor in my mouth and I later had terrible stomach problems. The burrito is a nice size but mostly filled with refried beans. I had one bite and threw it away. Tortilla was tasty. I was also a little disturbed with the lady serving my food that had an awful eye infection with both eyes. . Sorry this wasn't the awesome review that I was hoping for. Without being hyperbolic, I can say that the jackfruit birria burrito from 520 Taco Stop is the best burrito I've ever had. I arrive with a healthy degree of skepticism with how good the birria would actually be-mostly concerned bout the texture-but was blown away on the first bite. Everything is combined perfectly to give each bite the perfect combination of flavors and textures. Great food! I've heard some people think it's too expensive but for food that's prepared while you wait and the amount of meat in their burritos, it's more than worth it! I've already taken a couple of bites out of the burrito in the picture, but you can see how big it is. Found this taco truck while heading back to my hotel, the rating looked good so I stopped. I wasn't disappointed. I was apprehensive at first because it was a basic looking truck, and they only had a small number of ratings. However, I had a carne asada burrito and a chicken quesadilla. The burrito big a good size and the meat was very tasty. The chicken in the quesadilla was the best. It was seasoned to perfection. I would go back. The lady running this truck was one of the most rude people I've ever dealt with. I spoke slowly because I don't think she knew much English. But even still, she was very rude, short, wouldn't answer my questions, and acted like I was bothering her. She literally made me feel like a terrible human being.
