Awesome little spot in Coral Springs for some authentic, delicious tacos. This place is a gem. Went there for lunch today, Tuesday and found out they have a special for four tacos for $10, which is a great deal. Tacos came out quickly and were delicious, ingredients were very fresh and all had great flavor. They give homemade chips with a couple different homemade salsas when you sit down, which were also delicious. Staff were very friendly and showed their appreciation for coming in. Great spot . Great tacos. Great staff.

I like this place a lot. It's very small very quiet. The staff are always so welcoming. They smile and come and visit and welcome us back each time. We come here once a week sometimes twice a week. They have a full menu and everything is made fresh. Rich flavors including the pastor tacos probably the more flavor I have ever had in a taco. The enchilada was great also! The quesadillas are great and customizable! We had the pastor meat in with the cheese instead of chicken and it was DEFINITELY DELICIOUS! we tried just recently the cheese covered burrito another very nice dish! They provide complimentary tortilla chips and dip a red sauce and green sauce both custom made and taste the same every time. The food tastes the same every trip which is rare to find. They have nice simple drinks nothing crazy.. beers mojitos and margaritas also very cold and very tasty This place deserves more than 5 stars they are just that good!

PASTOR, CARNITAS, COCHINITA, and steak taco

In short: The most authentic & delicious mexican I have came across in a long time! This tiny spot is tucked away in a strip plaza alongside sample road. There has to be 6 tables in there max. You legit feel like you are in abuelitas kitchen. I met a friend here for taco Tuesday. They have an amazing taco Tuesday deal.. 4 tacos for 10 dollars!! The server told us about this deal, and I told him to bring whatever he thought was best. I got the pastor, steak, a carnita, and the cochinita taco. He even recommended which salsas we should top on each one. He was super passionate about the food there and so helpful. Really great service overall. Even though these are the traditional portioned tacos, they are super filling and I could not finish my meal despite me desperately wanting to. The flavors were insane ... soooo delicious They do not have a full bar but they have beer and some margaritas. I went for a michelda with modelo (you can have your choice of modelo or corona). It was perfect. I can't believe I waited so long to come here.. I will definitely be back next taco Tuesday ! I want to try everything !

Service was amazing! Our server was very attentive, told us the special, and explained the different tacos that they offered. Had complimentary chips and sauces. The sauces were AMAZING. I ordered the asada, pastor, and cochinita meal. The meal comes with guacamole, rice, and black beans. The asada was cold. The pastor was delicious! The cochinita was so sour. I took one bite and I could not swallow it. Had a handy dandy napkin for it. The guac was too sour imo as well. The rice was hard. I didn't finish my plate. My bf ate the cochinita and said it was fine. He liked his 3 asada tacos but they were also cold. I'm assuming we came at an off hour. It was around 3/4pm after the lunch but before the dinner hype. So my guess is that we had the leftovers. 5 star service but the food is what lowered the rating. Pastor and sauces from the chips were amazing tho. Not sure if I would come back.

Came here on a Saturday night around 8pm it wasn't too busy which was surprising considering how good the food and margaritas were! Bathrooms available it's a single unisex bathroom, and plenty of parking. I ordered a sope and my friend had asada tacos. They were AMAZING! The best part was the habanero sauce. It was so good I wish I could have bought it alone. Best hot sauce I have ever had. I literally asked for a container to take home with me it was so good! Now the sope was amazing she said it was made out of corn masa not wheat flour. The chicken tinga was amazing too perfectly seasoned and juicy. People who don't like spicy will be fine they have it seasoned but not spicy at all just flavorful. The habanero sauce needs to be added for spice. The sauces they bring out with the chips is also amazing. I would gladly buy just their salsas they were so good and so flavorful! My favorite is the tomatillo and the habanero. Now onto the best part the margaritas!! They are so tasty and limey! They are so good!!! Dangerously good! Amazing fresh tasty food. Tastes like home cooking, these salsas are amazing margaritas amazing and very very well cooked food.

Authentic Mexican tacos. Good prices, service was quick. Small space but felt cozy and inviting. Would definitely go again.

Came here to check out something different. I've always seen a spot pop up on my Yelp saying new taco shop that opened up in town. So I decided to go check them out because they had this chicharrón Dish That sounded interesting to a family member of mine. when we got there, there was nobody there, but one person sitting outside.the place is casual attire. They didn't have any Jamaican juice or horchata which was a bummer because that's what I was looking forward to. The chicharrón dish wasn't really all that tbh, is basically like a thin layer of fried cheese, rolled up into a mini long burrito, shape, and stuff with either chorizo or some type of meat. For my lack of knowledge I thought it was gonna be like a fried pork with cheese wrapped on the outside. The guacamole was actually really good and fresh. The tacos were small and almost 4 dollars each and it really wasn't all that either. It was lacking some thing. I don't think I'll be coming back here to be honest.

Real Mexican food in south Florida? Say it ain't so. Go figure, at a restaurant with real in the name....Taco Real. Taco Real is a small inconspicuous shop in a Coral Springs strip with big mission....Authentic Mexican Food! They offer legit Mexican dishes, like pozole, tacos al pastor, tlacoyos, gorditas, tortas, guacamole, chiles rellenos, burritos and more. Sure there's all kinds of things to choose from, but I'm here for one thing only....crispy cheese burrito. A massive burrito wrapped in cheese, which is then seared to crispy goodness. The concept is nothing short of brilliant. Did I mention how ginormous this thing is? It should honestly come with a warning label. A special shout out to the Churros. Easily the best I've ever had, and quite frankly makes me question every churro I've had before this! Coral Springs seems to be a hot spot for something I didn't think existed in south Florida, authentic Mexican food. Taco Real is the real deal.

The most authentic Mexican tacos I've had in broward. So delicious!! The barría tacos were delicious and the sauce was so good I wanted to drink it (I might've taken a few sips ). The service was very fast too. I got my drinks and food in under 5 minutes. The only down side is that the restaurant is very small. There's 6 tables inside and 4 tables outside but it was very cozy. Don't miss out!

Tlacoyos chorizo

Read many raving reviews. Although it was okay, I expected more. I felt most of it was piled with crema and cheese masking the flavors of the meat. Ingredients are very fresh. There is little seating inside and out. When I went, all the seats were taken and a family asked if they could sit outside, and they were told no. They'd have to wait 45 minutes. Thought that was weird. Might as well take away the outdoor tables. Complimentary chips and salsa were given in the beginning. The chips were nice and thin. A bit heavy handed on the salt. Crispy cheese burrito On the greasy side. There was also cheese inside the burrito. Was okay. It was nice it came with guacamole and pico on the side. Tlacoyos chorizo I decided to try something different and the pictures of this looked good. I was also attracted to the blue corn. It had beans in it so it was filling. I normally love cheese and crema but this was too much. The combo was too much for my stomach unfortunately. The ingredients are quality. I normally don't like chorizo but I liked it here. Tacos: I was surprised it didn't come with any accompaniments like onion, lettuce, pico or guacamole on the side. Huitlacoche: Another new food I tried. I didn't know what to expect but I absolutely love mushrooms. The taste was on the sweet side. Mole: My first time trying this too. I loved this! Horchata: Was delicious. But beware if you're lactose. Overall, nice and fresh place. Happy to have tried many new things.

Have been wanting to try it here for a while, and finally made time this weekend. Super small establishment with big flavor. They have a about 7 tables total including inside and out, but do have table service. Perfect size menu, w great prices. Service was fine, there was one guy pretty much taking all the tables.. so he was in the weeds constantly. The second one table got up, another party would walk in, they are def the new hot spot in town. My husband got a burrito, while I opted for a taco variety. The Gobernador was my favorite out of the three I got. I also got the Mole, and Pastor. Margaritas were great. Will return

I'm always looking for good tacos & was definitely satisfied with my experience here. I was greeted immediately upon entering & our server came to the table quickly. The inside of the restaurant is on the smaller side, but that helps with the prompt service (they offer outdoor seating as well). Our server made sure to check in multiple times without making me feel like I was being watched & she was very pleasant. The food came out in what seemed like record time & everything tasted fresh. I loved my asada/al pastor tacos, the guacamole was outstanding (but could've used some more lime that I added myself), & the beans/rice were also tasty. Personally I'm not a huge fan of black beans but these were very good. The chips were warm & served with 2 different salsas. The green was delicious & had a nice kick to it but the orange one had a smoky flavor which I wasn't too crazy about. Between the GREAT pricing, spotless dining area & fantastic service I would say Taco Real has a new fan. Sometimes it's hard to give a perfect 5 stars with so many amazing taco places I've been to but I will be back without a doubt! This is a great taco spot. (Just a side note: I think the workers should have a smoking section out back rather than taking their break in front [if possible] because I don't know many people who want to see/smell that before trying out a new restaurant)

CHICHARRON DE QUESO
Tania D.

Great little Mexican restaurant in Coral Springs. The restaurant is small, but the food packs a punch. The service was outstanding. They brought chips and dips to the table for starters. The jalapeño dip was delicious and not spicy at all. For an appetizer we ordered the queso with chorizo. The chorizo was spicy but very flavorful. For meals we had three of their tacos - al pastor, carnitas, and steak, a steak burrito, and the crispy steak burrito. Everything was very flavorful, fresh, prepared to order and good. We enjoyed our meal and definitely will be back.

I half expected them to hand me a pager and a Nirvana mixtape with my order. Everything here is freshly baked and dangerously good. The bread is soft enough to double as a pillow (if you could resist eating it first). The pastries are flaky, buttery, and straight-up addictive. I swear the pastilitos whispered "take me home" when I walked by. And the prices -- oh, the prices. I walked out with a full bag of baked happiness for less than what one coffee costs anywhere else in Coral Springs. I actually checked the receipt twice because I thought they missed something. Nope -- just pure, delicious generosity. The smell alone deserves its own five-star rating. Walk through the door, and you'll immediately start questioning every life choice that led you to ever buy supermarket bread. The only downside is they move extremely slow. It is part of a South Florida chain founded by restaurateur Marc Falsetto along with Anthony Bruno, Pat Marzano, Hall of Fame Miami Dolphins Dan Marino, and local radio personality Paul Castronovo. This Tacocraft restaurant is located on the corner of the first floor of the mixed use Village Square Complex on University Dr. in Coral Springs. They also have locations in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, and at the Plantation Walk. I stopped by after attending the nearby Blarney Bash for a late snack and cocktail. They have a beautifully decorated dining room with a tree and basket lights but my friend was cold and wanted to stay outside. Their sidewalk dining wraps around two sides of the building and we were seated on the University Dr side. At first it seemed fine but after a few minute of watching the cars speed by including police and ambulances we started to rethink the safety. It seemed entirely possible that someone could lose control of their car and plow into the sidewalk. The Tacocraft menu is divided into snacks, ensaladas, entrees and bowls, fajitas, and tacos. The flavor packed tacos including chicken Al Pastor, Carne Asada, Korean Short Rib, and Chorizo & Egg tacos are stand outs. They also serve cocktails, wine, beer, soft drinks, sides, and desserts. They are especially known for their ultimate nachos. After studying the menu I chose the $15 coconut margarita made with casamingos blanco, cream of coconut, fresh lime, and coconut flakes. It was both strong and delicious. It really hit the spot. I paired my margarita with a crispy shrimp taco, tempura fried shrimp, mango salsa, and spicy mayo. It was $7.50 for the one taco so definitely on the expensive side but it really delivered on the crunch and the taste. This was my first time trying Tacocraft so I was dipping my toe in to check them out. This restaurant is for people who don't mind paying more for a beautiful place to hang out and creativity in the menu.
