I have lived in Coral Springs for 12 years, but I have never been, to my detriment, to this small casual Mexican restaurant that has been here for 23 years. The owners, Chini and Neri Enriquez, hail originally from Chiapas, Mexico, the southernmost state in the country, adjoining Guatemala. The menu is very curated compared to other taquerias locally, and the majority of the customers are Americans. Burritos and Tacos are the focus, but they also have stuff like chilaquiles and serve fish tacos (which most places locally do not). I ordered breakfast, huevos a la ranchera, and an order of tamales rajas (3). I tried to order the eggs with chorizo, but sra. Enriquez insisted I order it correctly -- on the side -- so I wasn't going to question that. All the ingredients for the food here are sourced from their family businesses in Chicago, including the chorizo and the tortillas made in Chicago, so everything tastes a bit different from stuff locally. The chorizo is excellent but oily, and you'll want to suck that up with tortillas. Rajas also were very good, with queso fresco and poblano chiles in it. Nicely seasoned. While the food itself is not spicy, they will offer you some of their homemade chile de arbol sauce, which is explosively hot (to me, anyway) so I encourage you to try that, and don't dump it on unless you know what you are doing. I'll be back.

Tacos individually wrapped for take home convenience, stayed hot til we got home! :)

This place is snuggled right next to the walk off of university and royal palm in the heart of Coral Springs. This is within Broward county limits and it's on the left hand side place going northbound and right hand side plaza going southbound. The customer service is beyond genuinely kind, and they have so many incredible options. Just the smell once you open the door will have your tummy begging you for all there food. They were quick and gave extra extras and had a fridge full of drink options. Definitely stop by and give this local spot a try it will blow you away, not just the options but the deliciousness and warm service!

What does the word Chini's mean? Is it the owner's name or something else?

Chini is the owner and she's the sweetest!! Like a Mom or favorite aunt!!

Are there any taco tuesday specials?

They don't have any taco Tuesday specials listed on their menu. They do however have a daily specials board. Their menu prices are reasonable around $10 or less depending on what you order, plus the cost of a beverage.

Owned by Luz, who hails…read morefrom Mexico City, and with a chef from the Yucatan at the helm, this restaurant delivers a truly authentic and homemade Mexican dining experience. With its warm, inviting atmosphere and Mexican decor, the restaurant instantly makes you feel at home. We were greeted like old friends by Luz herself, setting the stage for a delightful meal. Lured by the enticing "$10 for 4 Tacos" Taco Tuesday deal, we indulged in a variety of tacos and other menu highlights. The journey began with fresh, house-made chips and two flavorful salsas - a vibrant green jalapeño and a smoky red morita. The horchata was a standout, creamy and perfectly balanced, while the tamarind drink offered a refreshing tang. YOU MUST GET THE HORCHATA! One of the best I have tried. Our taco selection included cochinitas, carnitas, asada, al pastor, and tinga de pollo. Each taco was a burst of traditional Mexican flavors, generously filled with juicy, well-seasoned meat and served in small, handheld tortillas - a true taste of Mexico. My favorite was the cochinitas! While opinions varied on the asada's saltiness, the overall consensus was overwhelmingly positive. We also savored the street corn, a delightful combination of mayo, lime, cream, queso fresco, and tajin, and the unforgettable birria tacos, generously loaded with meat and cheese and accompanied by a flavorful, non-greasy consommé.I appreciate it was not oily like many places, I was able to drink it all and no heart burns lol! To conclude our meal, we indulged in perfectly fried churros, choosing both the dulce de leche and chocolate varieties. These delightful treats were not overly sweet and filled with sugar, providing a satisfying end to our dining experience. Taco Real offers a true taste of Mexico in Florida, with its exceptional service, authentic flavors, and inviting ambiance. We can't wait to go back for another Taco Tuesday! Order: Tacos - Cochinita, Asada, Carnitas, Al Pastor and Tinga Street corn with mayo, lime, Tijin, cream and queso fresco Birria Tacos - 3 tacos with consomme onion and ciltrano Churros - Dulce de Leche and Chocolate Drinks - Horchata and Tamarind

There's only about six to eight tables, but they do a great job with their business, or so it seems. There is a study line of takeout orders. And the food is delicious! You can order each taco individually and do as many as possible. My favorite by far was the one with pineapples. I'm a sucker for pineapples on tacos. Definitely a new local spot for us to frequent.

Live music on stage, taco stations with chips and guacamole, margarita tent ,tequila shots and then some. Overall, I loved the atmosphere and food. When it opened in 2024 this was the fourth and largest of the Tacocaft Taqueria and Tequila Bar…read morerestaurants. It is part of a South Florida chain founded by restaurateur Marc Falsetto along with Anthony Bruno, Pat Marzano, Hall of Fame Miami Dolphins Dan Marino, and local radio personality Paul Castronovo. This Tacocraft restaurant is located on the corner of the first floor of the mixed use Village Square Complex on University Dr. in Coral Springs. They also have locations in downtown Fort Lauderdale, Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, and at the Plantation Walk. I stopped by after attending the nearby Blarney Bash for a late snack and cocktail. They have a beautifully decorated dining room with a tree and basket lights but my friend was cold and wanted to stay outside. Their sidewalk dining wraps around two sides of the building and we were seated on the University Dr side. At first it seemed fine but after a few minute of watching the cars speed by including police and ambulances we started to rethink the safety. It seemed entirely possible that someone could lose control of their car and plow into the sidewalk. The Tacocraft menu is divided into snacks, ensaladas, entrees and bowls, fajitas, and tacos. The flavor packed tacos including chicken Al Pastor, Carne Asada, Korean Short Rib, and Chorizo & Egg tacos are stand outs. They also serve cocktails, wine, beer, soft drinks, sides, and desserts. They are especially known for their ultimate nachos. After studying the menu I chose the $15 coconut margarita made with casamingos blanco, cream of coconut, fresh lime, and coconut flakes. It was both strong and delicious. It really hit the spot. I paired my margarita with a crispy shrimp taco, tempura fried shrimp, mango salsa, and spicy mayo. It was $7.50 for the one taco so definitely on the expensive side but it really delivered on the crunch and the taste. This was my first time trying Tacocraft so I was dipping my toe in to check them out. This restaurant is for people who don't mind paying more for a beautiful place to hang out and creativity in the menu.

Margarita flight was good, but fulllllll of sugar. Ambiance: Only reason I'm giving 1 star! I loved the decor and music. Loved the touch tunes. Plushies in the claw machine are purposely squished together so they can't get pulled out. Don't waste your cash on it. Service: Garbage. Had to remind her twice to bring water and small plates. Our server did not check in on us for over an hour. I had to walk up to the entrance of the kitchen to get someone to bring her to us. Mind you, she walked past our table multiple times to check in on other tables, flipped a table who came in wayyy after us, and it was not busy. Like more than half the restaurant was empty. ALSO - I took 1 sip of the espresso martini and returned it. I was so irate when I finally got the bill and skimmed over it so fast that I realized as I'm typing this I was charged for it!!! Not even worth the headache to argue over. The tip you receive is a reflection of the service you provide. If anyone wants GREAT food, drinks, service and ambiance; go to Tulum Prime, also in Coral Springs!
