We started with beef empanadas from the happy hour menu. These were delicious & very flavorful. My wife had the Wednesday night special for $25. She picked guacamole which she felt needed some salt. She had the vegetarian enchilada which she said was fantastic. It was served with rice & beans. And lastly she had the house margarita which she said was very good. I had the steak fajitas. We ordered the Picada Platter, shrimp nachos, Birria Grilled Cheese brunch meal with lime potatoes, and street corn--all washed down with a Strawberry Obsession. And let me tell you--they did not hold back on the liquor in that Strawberry Obsession, and I loved every sip! Everything tasted amazing! The street corn wasn't my cup of tea, and the chiarron was a little salty, but the waiter was friendly and sweet, and the venue is conveniently located right across from Pompano Beach. Made a reservation on the weekend for 6 adults and 1 child. Surprisingly, it wasn't as packed at noon when we arrived. The indoor aesthetic is very nice and the service was great throughout the whole time. I ordered the birria tostones with the corn & kale salad. Delicious! My partner got the steak and eggs which she devoured, my mom got the chimichurri steak well done (great texture) and someone else in the party got the taco bowl. It was great seeing everyone enjoy their meals but the disappointment for me was in most of the drinks i tasted. The Paloma drink was too strong in grapefruit, the tequila mule didn't taste as fresh and the others i tried was spicy margaritas (they have a great selection of cocktails). I can definitely say i enjoyed the food portion more although the desserts also weren't screaming my name. It's a walking distance from the Pompano Beach Pier. Great for people of all ages and the parking garage is also right around the corner. We walked to the jelly fish museum after lunch. We had a fantastic dinner there last night, they got us in right before the kitchen closed and were able to get an order in. The guacamole was very good, make sure you also get the side of queso ! The service was great considering they were about to close, the place is huge with a great outdoor area, great for large parties and happy hour vibes. Tourist trap. Do not spend your money here. The only good thing about this place is the oceanic vacation vibes. Indoor and outdoor eating provide nice atmospheric options to gaze at the nearby beach strip. If you're sitting outside, watch your food, as birds will steal it and catch you off guard. Quite hilarious to watch. Staff was accommodating. It took forever to get our food and drinks. Sad that the restaurant was out of half of the things on the menu. For a while. Update the menu if you're out of things for a while. Unfortunately, food is bad. Very greasy and low quality. We had heartburn after our meal. We tried all the tacos on the menu for five dollar taco Tuesday deal and our stomachs paid the price. Very heavy and greasy. Side of $8 street corn was the only possible menu option here. $22 for plain arugula salad with four pieces of cold tuna was ridiculous. Skip. Looks better than it tastes. Came here with some friends on a Sunday afternoon! We were pleasantly surprised at how spacious it is and there's plenty of seating inside and outside. I'm sorry I could not eat after this but I did try their short rib tostones, the meat had good flavor but the tostones were dry and the house margarita, while small it was quite good! Such a fun, vibey and inviting restaurant right near the ocean. They have a massive outdoor space and bar with exceptional wait staff. I mistakenly made my reservation for the wrong night and they happily accommodated us! Their happy hour deals til 6pm were awesome - can't beat a margarita that is delicious and $7. Omg I'm so happy we landed in this place. Matt at the outer bar was amazing. Everyone at the bar loved him. He was so nice to please me with a Michelada. He gave us lots of information on the area; food and drinks. We loved their convenient happy hour menu. The 1/2 meat board was the perfect meal to drink and laugh. I absolutely loved their freaking mango sauce over the wings. I've never tasted such a perfect combination and cortijo cheese over it was the perfect touch. The owners have miserably failed to keep up the property. Things are rusted, the bar sticky and worn out. Landscaping is ignored + more. The happy hour margaritas were not drinkable. We both left them mostly untouched. They were excessively acidic, burning your mouth and esophagus. They were watered down. We both contemplated whether they were made with a powdered mix. Really cute spot on the strip of Pompano Beach, located right across the street from the pier. From the time we walked in until we left, the customer service was amazing, we were greeted promptly, we were seated quickly, and our server was also the bartender, and he was very attentive, I'm sad, I did not get his name to give him recognition. I was bummed that I didn't see shrimp tacos however they had fish tacos, which I'm not really a fan of at any establishment, but our server was like they can go ahead and swap it out and add shrimp instead, which sent me over the moon because he was very accommodating for my dietary needs. The food came out pretty quickly and it was delicious. They have a variety of items on their menu, tons for the meat lovers, and a nice variety for us pescatarian.. They also offer outdoor seating. My niece and I were looking for a place to catch up while I was visiting Florida. I had a bad experience at the beach house just down the road from Baresco so I was worried this would be just another tourist trap, boy was I wrong! Our server and bartender, Shawn made the whole experience even better with his high quality service. I mean he redeemed my faith in Florida for sure. Interestingly enough, the beach house and Baresco are owned by the same parent company so I was really surprised but the night and day food and service, but it is what it is. The food was AMAZING! it was great Mexican food and the drinks were great and refreshing. The place was clean and open, very welcoming and you feel comfortable there. We were looking for someplace to kill some time before the 2023 Pompano Beach Drone show and this was a great place to do that. Making a reservation online was easy and check in and seating day of were a breeze. We sat outdoors which is lovely at sunset with the breeze coming in from the beach which is immediately across the street! Becuase it was a football day (there are TVs showing games at the outside bar area near where we sat) and a big city event day, the patio was buzzing with energy and full of people...which means it's not a tranquil experience so perhaps come on a quiet weeknight or sit inside if you are looking for more peace! The menu of Mexican beach fusion was extensive with lots of great choices. Drinks and apps were our plan for the evening so I quickly decided on the Crabby Guacamole app and the Kiss my Peach margarita. Wow was this a good margarita! Tangy sweet and a nice hit of spice on the rim! They are definitely working with nice fresh ingredients. Our server was telling us they make their sour mix in house and use blue agave as a sweetener...so he encouraged us to think of it as a healthy margarita. We were already prepared with our entire order when our server came by, but he was clearly knowledgeable about the menu and had we not already have made up our minds I'm sure he would have given some great menu and drink suggestions! One time I ordered their Mexican Street Corn and Kale Salad and paired it with their steak and I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious it was. More recently, I have tried their Picanha Platter and it's super delicious. Their chimichurri sauce can use some work but overall yummy. Their Mexi-ribbean Breeze was also super yummy! The service the past two times could use some work. I had one waitress that didn't check on us at all at one point we were looking around waiting for her so we can order. This place was PERFECT! We made a reservation for a bachelorette party brunch and they were easily able to accommodate us (and even allowed us to push our reservation back an hour).
