We ordered from one of the screens. I like doing that because you get to customize without wearing out an employee. It had rained all day but the outside seating was dry so we opted to sit outside. We probably should have told them though. The server came out like, are you guys our customers? (There is another place Nextdoor) it wasn't an issue. Glad they checked and our food came out right after. I got the loaded fries and my husband got the tacos. He said they were good. I could have use a little less topping on my fries. I'm a fairly picky eater & I don't try new places too often... mainly because I don't want to waste money if I end up not liking the new place. I've heard such great things about this restaurant & finally decided to try it because there was a promotion on Uber Eats. I SO GLAD I saw that promotion & decided to try it. The food is amazing! Full of flavor & you can just tell the ingredients are fresh. Portions are generous but not over the top & the price is more than fair, especially considering the quality of the food. I came here with my family for lunch. Love that it's near the Fischer Pier but far away to miss us with the noise and heavy traffic of that area. There's plenty of street parking but also within walking distance of the pier. Also if you're reading this and you're visiting Pompano beach, circuit electric cars also drive here!! I was also really feeling nachos so I ordered rhe chicken nachos and asked for extra chicken and my husband ordered the chicken bowl while each of my kids ordered tacos- 2 chicken tacos and 2 beef tacos. The shrimp, calamari and fish basket were the most incredible thing I have eaten in a long time- I don't know what they seasoned it with but it was amazing! They included a sauce with it and even my picky four year old that never eats calamari ate it with so much delight!! It was a nice serving size for our family of four but then came out the main entrees and Omgosh, I was blown away!! My chicken nachos were everything I have been dreaming about and more- there was so much flavor to them. The chips are house made and were extra crispy (which I love) especially as you bite down on the chicken. I thought I would need more guac but the flavors of the nachos just meshed so well together that I didn't need it. In fact, I couldn't finish the nachos, had to take half of it home because I was so full. My husband ate up all of his bowl and said it was the best thing he's had in a very long time. Both my sons finished their tacos which for me as a surprise but one I will take. Also, the pina colada was incredible, we kept fighting over whether or not it was in the middle of the table :). OMG we walked in and were greeted immediately by a sweet lady. Who showed us how to order on a kiosk. Asked if it was our first time here, she could tell immediately that yes we are not from here. I ordered the chicken tacos, 2 in our group ordered burritos, another ordered a chicken rice bowl. The sauces on the table were delicious and went well with our tacos. The dining area was very clean and well set up. I loved the decor/painted on the walls. My husband ordered beans and rice on tge side and half way through his burrito they came to our table with tge beans and rice and whole new burrito and chips. This really should be four stars for the food. But there were a few things that brought one less star. I'm not fond of restaurants adding an automatic tip for a small party (we were 2 people). And there was no notice that the tip was being charged nor the amount until we got the emailed receipt and saw it. Also all ordering is done through the kiosk which is a bit confusing if you don't know the entire menu in advance. Not all custom options are available in their check lists, so you have to use the special instructions box. In addition, there are no medium or mild sauces. The three sauces on the table are hot, hotter, and extra killer hot. Plus there is a glass jar on the pickup counter which might be confusing if you think you need an additional tip. You order at the kiosk and pay there. They bring your food to you at your table. The room is dim and the Mexican decorations are brightly colored and glow in the dark. My husband got a burrito without rice. The portion was large. He said it was meaty. He ate half and took half home. It came with a pile of plain chips which weren't very good without any salsa. I got their bang bang shrimp tacos. I left off the pickled onions and the spicy mayo. It had battered fried shrimp with lettuce and cilantro on soft corn tortillas. It was quite good. read more

Talkin' Tacos is located in a strip plaza next to other restaurants with plenty of parking. Ordering is done at a kiosk screen where you navigate through your choice of a meal. You can add or delete components of your selected item and add Special Instructons if needed. Each order is prepared in 5-10 minutes and brought to your table when ready. There are three bottles of hot sauce on each table. Jalapeño, Cayenne and Habanero, all of them have a kick. I ordered the Birria Burrito without rice,(as specified in my Special Instructions), and indeed it came just as I ordered. It was accompanied by chips. The chips were bland and had no salsa. Delicious! Wish we would've visited earlier in our trip as we would've come back a second time! While the nachos were good, I think next time we'd go for one of the chips and dips options. We weren't sure what to order so we had a few questions and we got looks like how dare you ask a question it was very uncomfortable for both of us. We were going to eat in but we got the feeling like they didn't even want us in the place and acted like they hated being there like they were made to be there doing community service. It was really weird. Had to ask for a side of sauce 3 times and acted mad because we had to keep asking because they didn't give us any. I've never seen such unhappy and unwilling to answer a question people in my life. It's to bad because we took the food home because we really didn't want to be in there and the food was good but we will never set foot in there again because of the way not just us but other people in there were treated. I mean you have a job you're getting paid act like you want to be there and put on a smile for god sake. I'm actually mad at myself for giving them a $10.00 tip because they definitely didn't deserve it. They all seemed mad that we had the nerve to ask a question and even put an order in. Absolutely the worst. Read about this new location in our local magazine. Went in line to have something delivered. It said the restaurant prefers to deliver through them instead of uber eats or door dash. I ordered they asked for address tipped the driver then come to find out it was for pick up. When I called the girl did not even understand after 3 conversations she said its for pick. I told her I was unable to get there no vehicle and raining. She said I should cancel order. Went online no where to cancel called her back she finally cancelled but no refund 3 days later. So I had no food im a senior citizen so m out the money including a tip to a PHANTOM driver. Wow! Amazing! We ordered Crispy Stack Wrap (chicken), Birra tacos, and Steak burrito (no rice, double steak) and cheese dip. LOTS of food but first time so we wanted to try different things. Cheese dip should get a pass. Too floury with not enough flavor. Definitely pass unless you have to have cheese dip with Mexican. Crispy Stack Wrap was big with lots of filling, but probably better eaten not delivery. Not crispy, but still exceptional in taste. Burrito was saved for the following night and heated up well. Again, great! Birra Tacos was second to none! Filled with a large portion of meat, not greasy AT ALL and the dipping sauce was equally as good!
