    "Supposedly authentic pupusas "
    K L.

This was my first time comming here and I order the birria tacos and it was so delicious it had flavor and enough cheese and meat and the consume was flavorful I highly recommend it. I order the pork and cheese pupusas and I was disappointed they where not authentic I felt like they just stuff it with fried chunks of pork belly idk it was just not a pupusas to me however the side of cabbage and dressing that comes with it was good the service was great and [[HIGHLIGHT]]ambiance felt like a little colony.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

We had a good lunch here. My husband liked his food better than I did mine. We got great service and got to use some of our Spanish, but ordering was no problem if you only speak English. The restaurant is tucked into a corner of a strip of stores on the east side of Powerline Road. It's a small family owned place with "authentic" cuisine. They do a lot of take out as there aren't that many tables inside. When we dined in, all tables were full after we arrived. My husband was in the mood for soup and wanted their chicken soup. He got "hen" soup which is what he was told they had that day. I just ordered a couple appetizers and fast food items. His hen soup was very good. It was a nice sized lunch portion that came with white rice and tortillas. He said the broth was flavorful and it was full of veggies and chicken on the bone. I had a mixed pupusa which was okay. And a shrimp taco. The tacos here are done mexican style -- with cilantro and onions -- not "gringo" style. The taco was fine and quite reasonably priced, but not that filling. But it was what I ordered so I can't blame the restaurant. We had very good service and everyone was friendly. Next time we come, I'd try something else on their menu.

This place is amazing! Food was delicious and had great customer service! The birria tacos were one of the best in town and the sweet corn tamale was perfect! Make sure to use the red, hot sauce!

I recently found this spot near my work, and I'm really glad I did. Small authentic restaurant with quality ingredients. The prices are super affordable--about half of what you'd pay at Chipotle--and the food tastes way better. The staff was also really friendly, making the experience even better. The wings were just okay. They gave me all drums to start, but they wrapped them in tin foil, which made them soggy. Honestly, I didn't come here for the wings; the tacos and burritos are where this place really shines. I definitely recommend checking it out!

Exhausted after a long day. Nice to see this when I walked in!

I am so happy that when I did a quick search for tacos near me it brought me to K'Ondas Restaurant. A small family owned restaurant, they've been open 2 years. While I was there, regulars popped in and out to pick up to go items as well as sit down like a family. After a long day at work, I wasn't in the mood to cook. The first thing I loved was the greeting as I came through the door. Alexandria made me feel like a regular my first time there. Sandy was very warm as well. After telling her what I was in the mood for, she suggested trying three different items on the menu. First I had the chicken tostada, made on a homemade crispy corn tortilla. While a little messy, it may have been one of the best tostada's I've ever had! The chicken taco was served on 2 soft street corn tacos, also homemade. Lastly, I had a chicken and cheese Pupusa. Honestly, I felt like I was eating in their kitchen at their home. The chicken on all three was soft and flavorful, all fillings and toppings were fresh. Make sure to try both your mild green and spicy red sauces. You'll thank me after! This is not what I would usually rate a quote, unquote five star restaurant but the food was so good and the service so personal that I had to!

Hidden gem alert! This delightful restaurant exceeded all our expectations. Their homemade chips and salsa were an instant hit. Every dish we tasted was cooked to perfection, bursting with flavor and authenticity. Staff was friendly and attentive. Inside is small but has a good amount of seating. What made it even more special was introducing my mother-in-law, who lives nearby, to this culinary treasure. Her newfound happiness confirms that K'ondas is a must-try for anyone seeking deliciously cooked food!

While the steak baleada I ordered was too salty, the delicious shrimp pupusa and the friendly service made up for it. There are a few other things I want to try on the menu, such as some tasty-looking tacos and sopas, so I'll definitely be back on a future visit to the area.

This place is an absolute sleeper! Carne burrito was and the sauces were top notch. Just moved from Phoenix and have been dying for a good burrito. This is my new go-to. Service was great too

Authentic Honduran food is here. My wife (hondureña) and I (Mexican) came for the baleadas and we were blown away. The baleada was soft and filled with beans, steak, and shredded salty cheese. Yum. My wife got the breakfast and it's a big portion, she loved the eggs and chorizo. The service was top tier. The lady taking care of us really made us feel welcome. She was always attentive and polite. The place itself is small about 4-6 tables in a strip mall. Don't let it's location stop you from coming in for the best Honduran food in pompano beach. I'll definitely be back. 5 stars!

Excellent service, kind waitresses! 3 for food/service + 1 for fixing my poorly made margarita 5 Stars for their fresh JUICES! Must have, get their fresh juice. They make 5 or 6 fresh juices. Tamarind is amazing! So why only a 3: 1. Margarita: big failure. Ordered a lime margarita, it was frozen. Probably better on the rocks. But zero flavor for a lime margaritas. And almost zero alcohol. So thank you! I wish they would buy a good mix and a decent tequila. Its not hard to make a good cocktail. If they only have a wine license, they should make a good Sangria! $5 Sangria with different floaters for $2 or $3, or by the pitcher. Here is an idea for the owner:..use your fresh juice for cocktails. That pineapple + honduran rum or a vodka. Oh my! Its funny how thet make the perfect cocktail base, but dont use it for that. They make fresh blackberry juice I think, imagine that with wine! Omg. I hope they fix the cocktails! 2. Get a QR code menu that has english and spanish. We are gringos. So, we saw some english here or there on the menu, but they need to do an online menu with english plus photos! I think they have a lovely spot bit would be nice to see live music or a 2 piece band. They did have FIFA on which was nice, on Telemundo. No commercials! So stop by. Oh prices were super reasonable!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their pastelitos were not as good as I would've liked, plus the filling had rice. In my country (el Salvador), some folks add rice to the filling (homemade pastelitos) to make more servings, but it wouldn't be done in a business where customers are paying. My Honduran husband even said it's something that's done in home settings and was a bit surprised to see at restaurants. They didn't taste bad per se, but maybe they should call them "pastelitos de carne y arroz" instead of "pastelitos de carne".. or maybe moving forward I should just ask restaurants before ordering: will these have rice in them?
