This place hit the spot. Holly cow!!! You want real authentic Mexican food that you can appreciate every bite, flavor, quality and looks amazing???? This is your place. I have to say even my teenage daughter was impressed. The tacos were all great. The Carnitas Tostones is a gem. I make these at home and I can say they did an exceptional job with combination of fresh veggies, meat and sauce. Of course the Chicken Burrito Bowl was the freaking bomb!!! And took the show. We all loved that one. Better than one we had at Fort Lauderdale By the Sea at a fancy restaurant. The service was great Andrea was on top of our needs and remembered everything we asked for. She checked in with us very often. The look inside makes you feel a burst of happiness with all the vibrant colors and decoration. And omg the music choices were all my favorite so I felt in heaven happy . Will be back to try them soon. read more

A cozy little spot just steps from the beach, making it a great location for a casual meal. We visited with a group of 12 for Taco Tuesday, and despite our size, the service was excellent. Our waiter was friendly, patient, and attentive throughout the meal. I ordered the ceviche and the mushroom taco. The ceviche was fresh and flavorful, though it was served inside half a pineapple, which I found a bit impractical and, in my opinion, an unnecessary waste of food. The mushroom taco was the only disappointment, as it lacked flavor and the mushrooms tasted more like canned than fresh. Fortunately, the rest of our group was very pleased with their meals. Overall, the restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere, good service, and very reasonable prices, making it a nice option for a relaxed meal near the beach. read more

Taco station does not disappoint! For a causal quick grab. I love drinking their non alcoholic daiquiri's by the beach and their tacos on taco Tuesdays are great! The service is quick and friendly and the place always has a good game on. For daiquiris I recommend the mango (I personally didn't love the strawberry but my wife did enjoy it) and their angus steak, carnitas, and mushroom tacos are good! The mushroom has a tasty sauce to them, and the angus steak was also good but my favorite by far was the carnitas which has like a sweet mild spicy flavor to it. Their sauces were good too so definitely ask for those! I can't wait to go back and try more, I heard their shrimp, lobster, and chicken tacos are good too! The only thing is that when you eat outside the flys go nuts and that can be a little annoying. Also the water tasted weird but besides that I enjoyed the place. read more

It's a hard thing to judge a restaurant, never mind a Mexican restaurant on Cinco de Mayo but it's been a long while since my last visit so I venture out to check on progress. We had a six o'clock reservation. The restaurant has outdoor and indoor seating and considering it was a holiday, we were seated around 6:20. The place was hopping as you might imagine but our group was focused on dinner. Three of us had faijitas with the fourth one going for the Burritos. I was a bit dismayed to get our food with plastic utensils but it was only going to be used for loading the tortillas so I guess that was okay. The good was served in larger portions which was great but with only 3 tortillas( we could have used 5 for all the protein.) The chicken and shrimp were prepared to perfection and overall have us a nice experience. We will be back on a quieter night to give it yet another try. read more

The most impressive part of the visit was the service. He was very helpful and attentive. We had yummy frozen drinks. The carnitas quesadilla was good. My tacos were good with rice and beans. We both had corn elote which was delicious. Clean with nice decor. We sat inside. read more

I've been here a few times. Some of the menu items are good some of them aren't. The staff members are very friendly and the food comes out quickly. Inside seating isn't that great I think they've had AC issues every time I've been here but the outdoor seating is always a good experience, especially on the cooler days. Food can be outstanding if you know what to order. On my most recent visit, I tried - California burrito - steak, guacamole, fries, cheese, pico. Oof this thing is tasty. I was "influenced" to come back for this and I'm glad I did. The meat to fry ratio could use some work but there's still a decent amount of meat. 4/5 ($18) Chicken quesadilla - to the point. This thing is good! A solid quesadilla with good flavor. 5/5 ($15) Tacos - I tried two, both with corn tortilla as our server recommended and it was the right choice. We got one short rib with kimchi and one crispy mahi. Both were delicious and generous with the protein! Loved these 5/5 ($6 each ) On other visits I've had the crispy mahi burrito which I enjoyed. The two things I wasn't crazy about is their ground beef, for some reason it tasted like vegan ground beef to me. I also tried their fried lobster tacos which tasted good but I'm not so sure the "lobster" is actually lobster. I'm also not crazy about their margaritas, the mix tasted very artificial and overly sweet. These guys are for sure worth a visit and imo they have the best food out of all the restaurants in this little strip. I would just avoid the ground beef and the fried lobster. Everything else I've tried is legit. read more

Good happy hour! $5 margaritas and $3 beers along with $10 carnitas or chicken quesadillas and $6 carnitas tostones. They also have wings in the happy hour specials. Fun beachy ambiance if you sit outside and great for people-watching! Service started off great but somewhat fell off until we finally had to go inside to ask for the check. Overall, service was informative and very friendly though. And the food and drinks were good! read more

Caliente! Caliente! Caliente! Tasty Tacos and Fajitas, both good portions. Authentic, fresh and good flavors. The mahi mahi was well cooked. Past experiences have led me to think the filets would be dry and flavorless, but I was glad to be corrected. It is a small place with limited seating and space inside but there was a nice little area outside to eat. The staff were super friendly. The decor was colorful but simple. I would definitely recommend and visit again in the future! read more

So glad we ran into this great place. There is plenty seating. Placing the order was quick and easy. The burritos are huge! I had a steak burrito and hubby had the carnitas burrito. Both were yummy. Tacos, Margaritas and Oceanviews. You cant go wrong with that. One of the best Taco places in Pompano Beach by far!!! Taco Station is steps away from Pompano Beach. They play good music and have outdoor and indoor seating. They also have takeout options. Everything you would want on a menu, they have it. I went to Taco Station for Taco Tuesday and was not disappointed. In fact, I was amazed how flavorful and seasoned their food items were. The people are friendly. As soon as you walk in the door they're greeting you with a big smile and warm welcome. I couldn't ask for better service. I started off with a $3 taco. They provide different tacos for $3 and chicken was one of the options I choose. A flour tortilla taco with Chicken, Cilantro cream, cheese, lettuce instead of cabbage, and pico de gallo was so good! Real good that I had to lick the juices from the taco off my fingers! Birria tacos were so cheesy and packed with shredded beef and the dipping sauce just added more goodness. You get 2 of these for $12. Can't beat that when you're dealing with a restaurant that provides excellent food. I also had a seasoned steak burrito bowl which includes black beans, rice, fresh pico de gallo, shredded cheese, and cilantro cream. It hit the spot. Good portion as well. Taco Station has alot of drink options to choose from, however tonight I decided to try their frozen Strawberry Margarita. Nice! Sweet yet strong combination. That's how I like my drinks! It was great. Taco Station is a must visit spot. If you haven't been you're definitely in for a treat. Ger yourself to Taco Station right now! read more

A gem. A lot of times you know before you see the menu what a taco place will have, it's a standardized canon. Not here; Taco Station has all the usual PLUS things like fried lobster or ceviche tacos. We had the guacamole, followed by the lobster tacos and crispy Mahi-Mahi ones, on soft corn tortillas, as recommended by our sweet and savvy waitress Francesca. The guacamole is simple and good; the tacos have perfectly crispy seafood with very finely shaved red cabbage along with the usual fresh salsa. Absolutely superb, all of it. With beer, seltzer, and good tip, $66. How can you possibly go wrong here? Assuming we have a chance to try some more things on this visit, I will update this. read more

Wow! We went here because of your reviews on Yelp! The food was delicious. We enjoyed the following dishes: Nachos. Delicious Chicken fajitas. Delicious. The new special California burrito. Delicious. In fact the person that ordered it said it was the best burrito he ever had. Chicken burrito bowl. Delicious. Francesca took care of us and was super kind and thorough. We ordered our food based on her recommendations and she didn't steer us wrong. The only thing we felt that could have been better was the seating and tables in the restaurant. However we understood that the restaurant is catering to maybe beach folks. So that may be why. We do recommend this restaurant. read more

(Angels singing) ahhhhhhh... finally found decent tacos in south Florida!! Yayyy! Clean and great service, we ordered tacos for taco Tuesday. Delish street tacos and not wimpy!! It was a bit cold inside (better than hot) and the music was a bit loud. We will be back!! read more

Service was good . Our waitress was nice and quick to bring waters and menus. The taco my wife had was chicken and very good. The burrito I got was very different then I am use too. It was chicken but it was filled with 90% rice and very little chicken. It was flavorful and really filling but it was just eating rice. I would go taco next time because 15 dollars for rice with a little bit of chicken is too much. read more

This one was hard to review..... my food was excellent (ground beef enchiladas) and our waiter was excellent. If not for those two things it might have been 1 star. Chips and Salsa - $5 each round and just meh..... salsa was very very good the chips were weird..... we had two rounds of them I ordered the ground beef enchiladas..... I really really enjoyed them. Amazing taste and got a side on habanero sauce (yellow bottle) and pineapple sauce (red bottle) that was also excellent The reason for the 3 stars instead of 5....... My husband ordered a steak burrito wet..... started eating it and was confused...... is it chicken..... it taste funny....... I take a bite and I'm like it's not chicken it's fish....... He does NOT eat fish!! We say something to the waiter and he asks if my husband wants a new one. He does not, he is now over it and slightly grossed out and overwhelmed...... No discount..... not even a lesser charge..... full charge for the mahi burrito he did not order and did not like me didn't eat. He was offered a steak one but at that point he was so confused and grossed out he declined. He is not a fan of fish.... I felt bad for him. Had they charged him the least amount for the burrito or even took it off it would have been 5 starts but full price for something he didn't order seemed kind of crazy....... Won't be back but a cool-ish place read more

This was truly the worst service I have ever experienced at a restaurant, especially when it was not busy. It took over 20 minutes for someone to come see us after we had been seated, and once someone did we were only given menus. After that it was another 10 minutes to put an appetizer and drink order in, and another almost 20 to see the appetizer and drinks. At one point we had ordered a second drink, but finished our entire meal and ended up asking to cancel the drink so we could leave. If they had been super busy I would understand, but there were plenty of staff and not that many customers. Also, any kind of communication would have been nice instead of being ignored most of the times our waiter passed by us. The food and drink itself was very good which made the poor service sad. Wouldn't recommend unless you're okay with an insane wait. read more

Here's a Yelp-style rave review you can use for Taco Station: Absolutely love Taco Station. The burritos are the star for me. They're always packed, flavorful, and made with fresh ingredients, so every bite actually tastes like something instead of just being stuffed for the sake of size. It's the kind of place where once you find your favorite burrito, you keep coming back for it. The service is also a big part of why this place stands out. Everyone is friendly, welcoming, and on top of things, which makes the whole experience even better. You never feel like just another order. They make you feel appreciated, and that goes a long way. The Taco Joint is a casual dining restaurant with table service right on the beach at Pompano Beach. You can dine outside on the sidewalk or inside. We arrived after the normal dinner rush and had the place to ourselves. Service was very good. The tacos were fantastic! I had the Lobster Taco platter which consists of two fried lobster taco, small servings of yellow rice and beans as well as Mexican roasted corn. The tacos were amazing! They were lightly breaded and had a shredded cabbage mix. I chose a soft flour tortilla. They also offer hard shell corn/flour and soft shell flour tortillas. My wife had the Chicken taco platter. Her tacos were great and she loved the corn. My friend had two mahi mahi tacos and thought they were great. The prices here won't break the bank either. I highly recommend The Taco Joint! Tried this place out, is very close to our hotel. We both really like Mexican. Michelada was very good. Service was very excellent friendly and attentive. The food was average. I ended up getting a shrimp burrito and there's very little shrimp in it, and mostly over stuffed with rice and beans. The burritos rather bland. We also tried the Mexican street corn, which again was also rather bland. The other is really nice because you can see and hear the ocean and the weather was amazing. read more
