Me an my wife went here. Food was great, service was amazing. Waiter was awesome, friendly and checked on us. We would definitely go back. The only reason I didnt give it a 5 out of 5 is because if you spend $15 on 3 tacos you should at least get a side with it. Some of there dishes dont come with sides. Thats the only thing. Other then that we will definitely be back.

My friends and I came here on Sunday around 2:00 pm. Luckily there were not many people so we were able to grab a table quickly. You walk up to the counter to order your food then grab a number a pick a table. Drinks and sauces are self-service. I loved the vibe in this place, especially the mural on the side of the wall. It's just fun and bright inside. The food probably took about 10 minutes to come out. Everything was very flavorful and if you needed extra spice you could add any of the sauces. My only complaint is the tacos come with only cilantro and onions as standard. I feel like it could of added a lot more if it came with lettuce, salsa, cheese, etc. I'm sure you can add it on for extra but I'd rather it come as standard. Other than that, no complaints. I'll be coming back here for tacos again soon

So so good! We usually go to Rosalitas for Mexican but their take out isn't great, so we decided to try taco and lime - and so happy we did! The jerk chicken burrito bowl was amazing, delicious flavor and huge portion. We also ordered birria nachos, which was super tasty and topped with a very generous amount of birria. Can't wait to try more from taco and lime!

Beautiful place and AMAZING food! You definitely get a decent amount for what you pay for! The guacamole was yummy, tacos & bowl ingredients fresh, brussel sprouts so light and crispy and actually tasty with the Corn Pops! Definitely give them a try, you won't be disappointed! This is takeout & fast casual. I asked, & they might be branching out into catering, but if you plan ahead, they can make large orders if needed for your party/get-together, etc.

This place is great if you want a casual meal and authentic food. The inside is clean and not crowded at all. The servers were really nice - you order at the counter then they bring the food to you once it's ready. We ordered the ceviche tostadas, street tacos (al pastor, barbacoa, and carnitas), and a quesadilla. The tostadas were fresh and light, with lots of flavor. The tacos were good too, although I felt the barbacoa meat was a bit dry and could've been broken down into smaller pieces to make it easier to eat. My favorite was the al pastor which came with pineapple and added a nice sweetness to each bite. The quesadilla was good, it came with a tasty sauce which we didn't know was spicy until we tried it. Luckily, we could handle the spice but for those that can't, be aware! Overall, we were very satisfied with the food and were surprised by the large portion sizes. They have a great selection of things to try on their menu, will definitely be back!

Today, I got charged $5.69 for a Ramen soup, a 20 fl. oz. drink, and a tiny pack of gum. This is literally the ONLY "convenience store" in town - and it is NOT convenient. Sure, you can get grill items, basically anything you need. The last time I had take-out food from here everything was burnt to a crisp. Fish sandwich was inedible and the chicken wings were FRIED. And I mean FRIED. They did have a new Spanish woman working the grill, so I can forgive her that everything was a LITTLE crispy, but not inedible or BURNT. Haven't tried the egg sandwiches that everyone is raving about. I feel like these people charge A LOT for the items they sell. There are tags at the bottom of each item but those DO NOT have PRICES so I think that the people who run this can charge whatever amount of money they want to. There are a few aisles. How difficult would it be to go around with a price gun, or update the prices so that people know what they're paying? The younger guy is very nice, but that's about the extent of it. They have a lot of business for the lottery. And they always let me go off with my items if I don't have enough money.

There is no parking lot for this place. There is a Municipal parking lot about one block over behind the post office. We lucked out as there was street parking directly in front of the restaurant. We ordered agua de Jamaica. Huge glass for $4.95. I would guess that it's 16-20 ounces. Gigantic. Well priced. We ordered guacamole which was good too. They didn't give us any salsa for the table like they do at other Mexican joints. For our mains, we ordered their mixed fajitas with shrimp chicken and beef. It was about $21 and it was a huge dish. It's not the usually fajitas that I've had at other places. Theirs comes in a delicious sauce which we thoroughly enjoyed. It was a generous portion and the flavors were on point. We recommend it. Our other dish was the El Rinconcito which came with grilled items: pork cutlets, beef, chicken, shrimps cactus, Spanish cheese rice and beans. It was an alright eight. We prefer the saucy fajita dish more. We def plan to go back. Next time, we are going to order their molcajete which is listed at $34.95 so I assume it'll be a huge dish for two based on the price. From the owners description, it Comes with all kinds of meats steak chicken shrimp pork sausage. I'm trying my best not to go back two days in a row but I may swing by for Lunch later. Good is good as is service. Good came out quick and she asked a few times whether we needed anything else. I believe they give some sort of cash discount or charge to use credit card because she asked how I was paying. They add an auto tip of 15% which I didn't mind. Gave her a few bucks more. All in all, it was a good meal. Appears to be a small mom and pop store and I'm happy to support local small business. It helps that the food is delicious too.

Brand: 5/5 El Buen Taco and Grill fits within this gas station in Howell Township, and I will say that it fits well, for it contains so much potential. It manages to evoke the Mexican restaurant vibe, which would not have been effective if it did not bring me there in the first place. Inside, you will find many aspects of Mexican cuisine everywhere, from the beverages to the candies to the menu dishes. I did like the brochure design, though I am not sure if the establishment is undergoing a name change. I am going to miss the chicken mascot if it does. Website: 5/5 Coming to the opening page immediately sold me on this establishment, for you are greeted with the chicken mascot during the loading screen. The red-and-green color scheme exemplifies the website, and the functionality of the website feels slick with a few exceptions. You are also brought to the description of the eatery, along with the menu that brings you various meals, from breakfast to lunch, though the images at at the bottom of the page. They also offer catering. Wait Time: 5/5 I did not have to worry about waiting for my order, even though I abruptly said "No" when asked if I needed anything else with my order, just to search around. Ambiance: 4/5 The Mexican music plays over the radio with a welcoming volume. You will also find a coffee machine. There are also glass counters showing the various dishes. While every part of the interior seemed festive, I did not find a place to sit at. Food: 5/5 I ordered the Huevos a la Mexicana, which consists of scrambled eggs with onions, tomatoes, hot peppers, rice, beans, sides of hot sauce and green sauce, and a couple of rolls, with a Bocadin chocolate bar. Every part of the dish had a well-prepared texture, from the rolls to the ingredients. The rolls held their form every time I added the ingredients. While I did think onions had some crunchy texture, I nonetheless enjoyed the scrambled eggs, while the rice had the right amount of seasoning. For more than one year, I have been trying to keep up my bean intake, but I never would have thought that beans could be prepared so savory as the ones in this dish. That just might be my most favorite part of the dish, with the gravy somehow adding to the taste with every bite, whether eaten by themselves or within the rolls. Service: 5/5 The owner managed to take my order without any issues. Worth The Money?: 5/5 The authentic Mexican cuisine absolutely reflects El Buen's brand, from the website to the very plastic container with my order. While I did get my order on time and the food was appropriately cooked for the time it took, I did think that the establishment would have needed more people working there, even if it was a small, gas station eatery. After a day of snow, I will say that the Huevos a la Mexicana managed to warm and fill me up throughout the day, and the owner put a lot of work into it. The greatest contribution food can give you is if it gives you a positive feeling throughout the day. The dish managed to do that, despite a winter day or even no place to sit at inside. Nonetheless, the ambiance did not dissuade me from waiting patiently. If anything, it accurately reflected the overall brand. My order did come with a free soda or water, which I politely declined both offers. In which case, I will absolutely say that the order was well worth it. Rating: 5/5 Stars Small eateries that have large amounts of good tastes give me hope, and El Buen is no exception. This establishment has so much potential. I would consider it a third choice for Mexican cuisine, but I would always want to try more of the menu items. Recommend To... Anyone looking to immerse themselves with Mexican cuisine and treats (of course, specifically anyone looking to brush up their Spanish language knowledge). I also recommend El Buen to anyone who works on the road and need a quick, filling meal.
