An awesome coworker gave me a gift card for Christmas. I used half and decided to use the other half today calling in an order. You can't pay with Taco Mac GC on their website. I place my order. She says it will be 10 minutes. I wanted 10 minutes then drove the 10 minutes to the restaurant. There were multiple people waiting. My food was not ready. I ordered the Train Wrech Nachos w beef and the Chicken BLT salad. I offer to pay while I wait. Server has to get a manager because unclear on how to pay with a gift card. The manager walks her through it. The difference was $1.54. I give a $5 bill to pay. The manager does NOT ask about tipping. She assumes and stuffs my change into the tip jar. I was going to let the server keep the change. However, it is extremely rude to assume and just take a customer's money. I went to use the bathroom while I waited. It needed to be serviced. Looked like a little kid had been playing in the toilet paper. It was all over the floor. It is now 30 minutes after my order was placed. I get my food. The salad is missing avocado. I go back in to ask for it to be added. A different server says he has to see about adding guacamole. I said no the salad comes with sliced avocado. He looks confused and starts helping another to go person whose order was incorrect. A 3rd server offers to help me. I tell her and she gives me a look like there have been issues today. The same manager that kept my change without asking takes my salad to the back. They throw some chunks of avocado on my salad and hand it back. ​I understand they appeared busy, but the lack of professionalism and attention to detail was disappointing. I normally frequent the Marietta or Cumberland locations and have a much better experience there; I only stopped here because I was coming back from the outlets, but I won't be making that mistake again. I am writing to file a formal complaint regarding the service I received at the Taco Mac Kennesaw location on July 23rd. I arrived at the restaurant at approximately 9:30 p.m. and requested to place a to-go order. I needed to use a tap payment method and was unsure whether the restaurant accepted tap payments, so I wanted to confirm before ordering. The first employee I spoke with told me that someone would be with me shortly. During this time, I observed her assisting two customers who appeared to be picking up DoorDash and Uber Eats orders. After she finished, she came back and again told me that someone would take my order. At that point, it was approximately 9:40 p.m., and I had been standing there without receiving assistance. I noticed several employees, both male and female, walking by without acknowledging me, so I decided to leave. I then called the restaurant, thinking they may have been busy and that placing my order by phone would be easier. A male employee answered, said, "Give me one second," placed me on hold, and never returned to the call. I returned to the restaurant for the third time and asked to speak with a manager. A young blonde-haired employee came over, but she did not apologize, acknowledge my concerns, or attempt to address the situation professionally. I was attempting to place an order for a 10-wing meal, but at that point I no longer felt valued as a customer because of the way I had been treated. The entire experience left me feeling that I was being ignored and treated differently. As a Black woman, I was concerned that assumptions may have been made about me as a customer, including whether I would leave a tip, and that this may have influenced the level of service I received. Regardless of the reason, the behavior I experienced was disrespectful, unprofessional, and unacceptable. I also overheard a manager make a comment stating that I "didn't have to come back to this store again." That statement was very concerning because I was the customer who had been ignored and treated poorly, yet I was made to feel as though I was the problem. I have been a customer who expects basic courtesy, respect, and professionalism when visiting a restaurant. Unfortunately, this experience did not reflect those standards. Due to this incident, I do not plan to return to this Taco Mac location. I am requesting that management review this situation, including employee conduct and customer service practices, so that other customers are not treated this way in the future. Taco Mac is always a go to for us. They have so many wing options, but we always lean toward the dry ones. Our favorites are lemon pepper, vinegar, and voodoo. Personally, I love the lemon pepper and then dipping it in TMI, extra crispy of course! The staff is usually on point, and we really like that they have trivia on Thursdays, which makes it even more fun. You also can't go wrong exploring all the different beers they have on tap. We were a party of about 15 and the restaurant had no problem accommodating us. It's a great place for large crowds. The chicken wings were awesome with your choice of sauces. Visited Taco Mac for Father's Day and they were much slower than I expected for a holiday. We had a party of 6 and overall enjoyed our food and time there. This is a bar setting with multiple TVs around the venue which was nice! We got lemon pepper wings which were perfect and not too salty, the mozzarella sticks were delicious as were the Brussel sprouts (not pictured). The broccoli wasn't cooked long enough and still very hard. Our server Sarah was nice and polite however, we had to ask several times for plates and napkins. A beer was ordered and didn't show up until the food came (30ish minutes later) and her only response was "sorry." Again noting the place was not very busy and she couldn't seem to remember any of the items we kept asking for. Also half the food didn't come out at the same time which was a frustration. On 09/27, I visited Taco Mac and my experience along with the service was horrible. This was during the Georgia/Alabama game, so the restaurant was extremely busy. Which was fine with me and my party because that was one reason why we were there. I ordered the quest - there was hair in my food. I returned it but my server still tried to charge me for it. I ordered 20 wings - 10 lemon pepper and 10 honey chipotle. My entire party ordered wings. Nothing was labeled when it was brought out and my server could not remember who ordered what. My server had the nerve to place her nose into the wing plate and say, it's smells like chipotle. I immediately called a manager (James McKinney) and he was no better. He did not apologize and because they were busy he continued to force the server to remain at our table to service us even though we wanted someone else. read more

I'm in an industry where customer service can make or break your business so she is definitely an asset! The burger was a smash burger, although not able to "cook to order" it was tender and flavorful. The fries were done right, not overcooked. Great atmosphere always in Taco Mac. I wasn't aware of the Taco Mac chain before, but was pleasantly surprised with the food at the Kennesaw location when visiting the Atlanta area recently. This southeastern chain has a great sports bar/pub feel with a wide selection of beers on tap. Service was friendly and it had such a great atmosphere that we visited twice, as the food was good and had an excellent vibe for hanging out. We tried a variety of menu items over our visits. The queso dip (3.5/5) was good, and I liked that it was served with both chips and tortillas. The large size was more than ample for sharing, but found it wasn't prepared as well the 2nd day we ordered it as the first, so perhaps some variance in preparation quality from day to day. The buffalo wings (3.5/5) were good, so long as you didn't venture into the "hot" territory of sauces as the heat on them were a bit much for us to handle even in small amounts. The mozzarella sticks (4/5) were excellent for a chain, with just the right amount of seasoning in the breading and overall hitting all the right flavor notes. We ordered a variety of tacos (3/5) which were flavorful, but didn't really tantalize the tastebuds as much as a Mexican eatery would, and I found the chicken tinga didn't pack much of a punch in flavor. The service and atmosphere (4.5/5) were top notch, and made our visits memorable, so wouldn't hesitate to return again. We got so filled up on appetizers and drinks, that we didn't get a chance to try out any of their meals, but all the more reason to return to Taco Mac when my travels bring me back to the southeast. read more
