First time ever. Sat at a high top table in the bar area. Floors were sticky. Table was sticky. Chairs were sticky. Was never given napkins or even cutlery. The bar area was a complete mess with chairs and tables shoved aside. Ordered queso for appetizer and a skinny margarita. Queso was not terrible but quickly congealed as it cooled. Skinny margarita was too sweet to drink as it didn't seem to have any tequila In it. A friend ordered a different cocktail and she said her drink as well seemed too sweet with no alcohol. For the main course I ordered chicken and beef street tacos. Chicken tacos were really good. Beef taco not good at all. Meat was really sweet and the small flour tortilla was overstuffed so very hard to eat. I only took a couple of bites and stopped eating it. Husband and a friend ordered wings. Friend's wings were rubbery and cold. Husband's wings were half fresh and half rubbery and cold. Went to the bathroom to wash my hands since they were a mess from the tacos and was given only one napkin. The floor from the bar area to the bathrooms in the back of restaurant was completely wet. From what? I don't know. My converse shoes were a nightmare to walk on it as it was so slippery. Lawsuit waiting to happen. Got to the bathroom. Very dark and damp. Washed hands. No paper towels and trash cans were overflowing. Had to use toilet paper to dry hands and open the bathroom door since I didn't want to touch with clean hands as everything seemed a mess. My advice. Honestly can't say how disappointed I was with Taco Mac tonight. I've been to Taco Mac for 20+ years and tonight was the first time visiting the Kennesaw location. 1) it was filthy. Food crumbs, sticky floors, napkins. All over the floor. 2) the patio was gross too. Sticky mess. Needs to be washed. 3) the tables and booth seats were dirty and they had no silverware because they said it was all dirty. 4) as we left, saw the health rating was an 89. Shocked it was even that high. Sad to see one of the great, dependable restaurants be so trashed. read more

Surprising the reviews are as low as they are for this location. Our service was superb! I am writing this review a little late but the server's name was Dez, or Deziré (forgive my spelling or possible butchering). We were a party of 4 and spent a lot of time catching up before we ordered. Our server realized what we were there for and was hands down the best server I have had in a long time. The food was great. Normal Taco Mac food. I ordered the fish tacos and the street corn. Better than I expected! I like Taco Mac, mostly because I like beer. It's a great sports bar with a boat load of large screen TV's. Oddly, they don't play the audio for any of them in the restaurant area but have music instead. Excellent blue cheese burger though the fires were not as good. A little too salty and not hot enough. No worries, the great beers cancelled out any complaint. What's really strange is that with the choice of HUNDREDS of domestic and imported beers, with microbrews and craft beers, they apparently sell an awful lot of Coors Light, Budweiser and Miller. According to the bartender who was restocking the Bud Light bottles while I was there, there are people who simply like cheap and tasteless beer. There's no accounting for taste! Tip: Join the free Taco Mac Brewniversity. I had my 13th beer so I now have a "pledge" t-shirt! At a higher level (20?) I get free upgrades on drafts from 16 ounces to 20 ounces. I recently got Taco Mac at the Kennesaw location. I got the wet lemon pepper wings and I think they were the best wings I've ever had. So good that I had to ask who had made them. They said that "Nick" made them, and man, props to Nick. Other than the juicy, evenly flavored wings, there wasn't much to write home about. Wings were 11/10, but everything else was mid at best. To be fair, I was told that the kitchen was understaffed, but after hearing how the manager was speaking to the employees, I understood why they have a reputation for a quick turnover in employees. My sister had mention going to this restaurant as her and husband had been there I had just flown and was starving! The vibe of the restaurant was pretty cool, it's definitely has a sports bar feel with TVs and their sports-Esque decor. It was pretty hopping place especially on a Friday night. There was a bit of wait but nothing too crazy. Once we were seated we were greeted right away by our waiter who was really nice and was just attentive enough. We ordered mozzarella cheese sticks which were good nothing crazy but we also got the buffalo dip which I thought was very good and would recommend. Especially if you are a buffalo sauce fan. The chili I had as my main course was tasty and the finale chocolate cake was to die for! Definitely recommend that if you are a chocolate lover! To drink my sister and I got the beer flights so we can try out all their beer (who doesn't love a good flight lol). I have to be honest I was kind of disappointed in the beer. Between my sister and I there was a lot of sipping followed by an "eh" nothing really blew us away. Tacomac is one of my favorite restaurants. They have an unbelievable beer selection and some really good food to go with it. This is my favorite restaurant and like the over 200 beer choices. Try any beer that starts with an S is what I recommend. Taco salad or wings is what I recommend for food. read more

Been here a few times and the experience was nice as always. The location is next to a bunch of other restaurants and I believe a frozen yogurt places if you'd like to try some dessert after dinner. Their staff is always friendly. I came for this visit because I was breaking a vegan challenge I had with myself for a month. The waitress found this fun and cheered me on lol. We started off with the queso and chips. The cheese was warm once it reached the table and the chips weren't too salty. For my entree I had a 6 pack of regular wings, mild with ranch and fries. The wings were delicious and crunchy, while the fries were just as good. This location doesn't seem to get that busy so you shouldn't have to wait that long to be seated. I have been coming here and ordering food from here for years. This place has gone so down hill and I am done with it. The past few times have been horrible, but I let it go thinking they can't be great every time. I used to work in the food industry so I know sometimes there are just bad days. This has been one too many times. My food is ice cold and SWIMMING in sauce no paper to separate the wings from everything else. Carrots and Celery come as a buffer from the heat of the wings. Only posting this here because it concerns a manager from this location who was filling in at Cumberland. Brady is very unprofessional, impolite, and is not qualified to represent a company as "management" The redeeming quality was the manager AJ and our amazing server Jordan. The manager Brady who straight up said "I don't work here I'm just helping out" couldn't care less about the company in general by the way he treats his guests. I've worked management for restaurants for 10 years and have never experienced the amount of attitude and rudeness I have from Brady. Simple fixed that should have easily been taken care of (drinks made incorrectly, no silverware or napkins when seated, wrong orders, being out of a certain item a member of my party ordered) could have easily been fixes. Mojitos came out tasting like sugar water. No lime or anything. Clear as water. Gross. We ate our appetizer that came out luckily in 25 minutes happily without silverware but still had none when our incorrect orders were delivered by the so called manager Brady. Who then, after being sat for over an hour, informed my friend they were out of the item she wanted and then tried to blame it on "not being able to find our server" who had checked on us multiple times and was great. Brady then gave my friend attitude when she (who has also worked in restaurants for 10+years asked why she was just being informed) when table numbers are assigned and he could have easily informed us himself or had another employee let us know when this happened instead of when bringing us the incorrect entrees. Luckily the manager AJ came out to talk to us and he was super. Apologetic for the actions of this fill in "manager" and quickly took care of us and our needs. Brady is apparently a manager at the Kennesaw store and honestly shouldn't even have that title since he represents the company so poorly. We will be back thanks to AJ and the hopes that Brady won't be there filling in again. But seriously Taco Mac. As a fellow restaurant manager, Brady is not the kind of representation you want for you business. read more

Stopped here to please the taste buds when no one can decide.. Mexican burgers wings.. And plus got to see some march madness and enjoy the many on draft choices. I've ate here many times but have to say never ate the wings or at least not roasted but hands down the flavor and roasted were better than Buffalo Wild Wings. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS! First, host told me where in the bar area I could sit. So, I sat there. Nobody greated me, said hi to me, nothing. Went back to the host and asked about getting a TV switched to the game I wanted to watch. He said a server would help. Still.....nobody.... Finally stopped a server and asked who mine was. She said no body because I wasn't supposed to sit in that section. She asked if the host put me there. I said no, but he told me to sit wherever. FINALLY....she comes back and takes my drink order and I ask, FINALLY, about switching channels. Short story long, manager comes out and accuses me of swearing at his staff (total and complete lie). I used the word "freaking" a few times directed at a team....not any person. I'll never go back. Stay away from this place unless you want to be accused of something you didn't do. My sister and I ordered to-go wings. When we arrived, it took 15 min of us waiting in the to-go order area and being ignored by every employee that walked by until an employee finally acknowledged we were standing there. After an additional 15 min, we finally were given the food. Long story short, they mixed up the type of wings, giving us traditional instead of oven-roasted. The staff was defensive about the mistake, but in the end, after an hour of waiting, we got the correct order. Upon getting home, our parents were livid that the manager and staff did nothing to apologize or attempt to comp something. We called back asking for a manager. Jason was the manager who came to the phone. After we explained the situation, Jason was immediately rude and accusatory. He stated that we ordered traditional on the phone and then we "came in and changed our minds". He started gaslighting and guilt-tripping us, saying that it was our fault and that they "had to throw our wings". He continued to argue and threatened, "you are lucky we didn't charge your child for two orders". My sister and her fiance were the ones who went into the restaurant to pick it up and they are 22 and 25 years old. Younger, sure, but clearly not children. When you think it couldn't get worse it did. Jason continued, this time saying "I train my staff to write traditional...you heard TRA-DI-TION-AL see it is a lot different than OV-EN ROAS-TED" to my 50 year old mom who was well older than him. It was patronizing, condescending, and absolutely disrespectful. Realizing that nothing productive was coming out of this conversation, we asked for the number to corporate. He quickly mumbled it and then proceeded to abruptly hang up. Since he chose to highlight how well he trains his staff, I felt led to include the conversation we overheard while waiting. The servers standing next to us were discussing how a table was angry because their server the night before accepted a photo copy of an ID, which is illegal, when alcohol was ordered. The other two staff members, who the server was talking to, immediately got an attitude with her. Clearly, there is an attitude problem throughout the restaurant with how it's run, and Jason doesn't seem to be a great example of how to fix it. read more

I gave this place another shot and it's likely the last. They are down a star from 3 to 2. The overall message is that food is just "okay" and the staff is not well trained. Note that I have never seen a manager checking anything out. Bummers today: - Waitstaff does NOT know the menu (I asked a couple questions and she said she didn't know, hadn't tried the item). - The appetizer came out with the food, so things were not timed correctly. We just took the app home and ate our lunch. - The food runner asked if we needed anything else, and we did (sauce), but she didn't bring it. - Food was okay, only complaints were a couple burned mini corn dogs on my sons plate (inedible) and my sandwich roll was dry. Other elements were cooked fine. - Lastly the bill was incorrect and I had to have them remove the incorrect charge. The atmosphere was fine, and the server didn't notice that the experience wasn't that enjoyable (she was never rude). We love stopping at Taco Mac whenever we are on a road trip that takes us through Atlanta. On our most recent trip we came in for lunch with a large party. The waiter was very attentive throughout our meal. We started off with Nachos & Cheese Fries. Both were great and large portions. The Baja Fish Tacos were very delicious! My nephew had the ground beef Tacos and he loved them as well. My husband had a burger and really enjoyed. Some members of our party had chicken Wings and thought they were very good. My kids love the fact that they can get Mac & Cheese as a side item. Can't wait to go back to Taco Mac on our next road trip. read more

Their selection of beer is great! Lots of options of every type of brew. I chose a couple of stouts to go with my fish and chips, a classic British combination. Their fish and chips were the best I've had in a couple years. Overall, if you're looking for tacos, this is not the place to go. If you're looking for pub grub and a huge selection of beer, this is perfect. Disappointing experience. Ordered online for pickup and ended up waiting 30 minutes. At one point I was told "your wings are done, we're just waiting for the oven Mac & Cheese." 10 minutes past and still no update. When I asked what was taking so long, I was told "oh, the Mac & Cheese is still cooking." I asked what about the wings - if they had been done for 10 minutes already, wouldn't they get cold? "No, the kitchen is really hot and we've got lamps to keep the food warm." Okay ... Finally they bring out the bag and I drive home (less than 5 minutes.) Honestly... it's a hit or miss. My husband and I eat here a good bit and it's 50/50 on the good vs bad experience. Sometimes the chicken is amazing, sometimes it's kinda bad. Sometimes the service is wonderful, other times it's terrible.
