I tried the brisket bowl. The flavor was intense! Smokey, full and I loved it! The topping options are so good and the black beans were seasoned well. Same concept as chipotle. Experience with the food was not the best. Ordered a bowl (delivery) when it arrived the container was soaked on the bottom so had to keep it in the bag, and the bowl itself looked thrown together. The food was pretty much swimming in liquid, there were huge pieces of lettuce and peppers as if little effort was put into cutting them up and the same with the chicken. I've been to this location in person but it's been a couple of years and they were pretty decent at the time but this experience was not great food wise at all. read more

Update: I got in touch with a customer representative who was able to address the issue. I found the call to action to be acceptable, and I truly appreciate the care and help given to this issue. I still will rate this as a 3 instead of a 1 because I cannot in good conscience rate higher because of the prior experience, but I really appreciate the customer service team's help on the matter. Original: This is the first time I'm giving a 1 star review, but I've just been so disappointed with this location. I ordered delivery before at this place, and they didn't put any of the hot and cold ingredients I asked for. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and called it a bad night. Today, I ordered a steak quesadilla for pickup with some hot and cold ingredients. Unfortunately, I was so hungry I didn't take the time to check out to make sure it was correct. Once I got home, I saw that I was given chicken and had some ingredients missing. I checked the receipt, and it says that I did in fact order a steak quesadilla with the list of ingredients. So, I essentially paid more than I should have if they went ahead and gave me the cheaper meat option. This was our first time trying Willy's! The line was long, but the young man that was taking orders as we walked up, handled BUISNESS! Although there was a line of people, he was so kind and patient with everyone! For to often, customer service nowadays is awful! But not here and not when he's on duty! Food was excellent and reasonably priced. One young lady was working very hard to complete everyone's order. However, three young men were completely in her way and no help at all. One young man started our order, then walked away in the middle for some reason. She noticed us standing there waiting and come to complete our order. Then, another young man was working the register and tried to ring up or orders incorrectly three times, even though she very clearly told him what we had. One more young guy seemed to just hanging around not doing much. I felt bad for the young lady. She deserved 10-stars! She was so apologetic for them and did most of the work herself. I've debated for a long time whether to leave this review, as we'd been HUGE fans of Willy's since their original Roswell Road location in Buckhead in 1995, and have always recommended their food to friends and coworkers. This past year, we ordered a Build-a-Bowl box for our family of six from the Chastain Road location to celebrate our daughter's graduation . When I saw the one small container of cilantro as they were packing it, I felt the need to stop at the grocery store on the way home and laid out another $20 for more of that and guacamole, which was initially meant as a backup to what was supposed to come in the box, as well as extra tortillas to at least make up some of what I saw was shorted. Once at home, we discovered not only was the volume of food extremely light, we did not receive the guacamole -- and the cucumbers were rotten to the point of mush. There was also very little meat, which was barely enough for two. This with the extra stuff I picked up on the way home ended up being still barely enough for four people. In regards to the cilantro, we typically get a container per person/order at the restaurant each time we'd previously gone. My wife and kids were angry the entire meal, and honestly, if I had any idea how little actual food we ended up getting for what was paid via Doordash, I would have ordered 6 Goal Bowls for the same price and had three times as much food for everyone -- and that would have been without the rice and beans that made up the bulk of what we received. I spoke with Kenny and Bryan, the manager, about this with little satisfaction by the time I got off the phone. I then had several emails with their corp PR person who was very rude about the entire experience and offered nothing but an attitude since the original contact was made. This is a decent texmex place kind of like Moe's or Chipotle. The service was friendly and somewhat quick. It's a place where you order and go through telling them exactly what you want and watch them make it in front of you. I'm a big fan of places like this, but felt like there was something missing here. The salsas are pretty good and they have 2 different types of chicken. I will say overall it's a good place with average pricing I've just had better. I hope to come back and try something different and better get a feel for all the options on the menu. The Baja burrito that I had was lacking flavor somewhere, but was a massive portion size! It wasn't bad by any means just needed something else. Their chips are tasty with the salsa. I came to the restaurant at 8pm 8-24-22. Ordered a Quinoa adobe bowl. The girl didn't know how to make it, that was not a big deal to me. But when she was adding the toppings she had gloves on but I had already watched her wipe her hands on just about everything on the front line and her face and cloths. She proceeded to use her hands to dish out the toppings. After she stuck her hands in the salsa i asked her "are you not going to use a spoon?" "She said nope i just use my hands" Yep stuck her hands in the corn the salsa the cheese everything! I wish people would stop thing just because they have gloves on they are clean! I don't even know where to begin. This has to be the WORST Willy's I've ever been to. I went in with my kids to grab a quick bite before basketball practice. The servers were AWFUL. So hostile and rude, and they kept rushing us. They messed up a simple order (plain chicken burrito) and got mad at us for it. For the life of me I can't figure out why. It was more than having a bad day. My kids kept asking if they had done something. I was so upset I couldn't even touch my food. Speaking of the food, it was so old and dried up, obviously "fresh" was not the focus here. It barely looked edible. I won't ever return to this establishment again. No way I'd traumatize my kids with these mean people who obviously don't care about customer service. I own three small businesses, and my husband and I are raising our children to be nice, polite people, the exact opposite of what we experienced at this Willy's and how we treat our customers. You can find this location of Willy's Mexicana Grill at 600 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144 - this is the stretch of Chastain that stretches between I75 and I675 just north of Town Center Mall and host of several restaurants and of course a Starbucks. Parking is in the lots out front and to the sides but be warned that it's a high traffic area and a bit difficult to navigate around the divided roads - I'm not sure what the developers were thinking when they provided these buildings for restaurants - actually I doubt if they took much time to think through the traffic at all, after experiencing this area a few times myself. This Willy's is one of their "new concept" done in a high design, industrial-modern style - quite beautiful inside as these types of restaurants go - love the stainless hood that rolls up from the food prep areas to the high ceilings. Those of you who know me also know that I'm a big fan of Willy's - it's become a staple for me to visit the location at the Publix near the Concourse which has provided me with fantastic food for over 10 years. I was quite excited to try this new Willy's and thrilled to see the interior. We went through the line much like I have at previous locations - the staff was good about asking the right questions and building my burrito and everything looked and went quite well. At the sauce station I noticed a new selection - Roasted Tomato Fiery Hot Salsa and of course I had to try it. The food was good and consistent but wow - that new salsa is a total failure - it basically tasted like burnt mush - ugh. I don't know what Willy's was thinking introducing this one. Stick with the habanero, chipotle or tomatillo. In any case, other than the disgusting new salsa, the food was consistent, the restaurant spotless and the interior amazing. My least favorite Willy's. The queso is always watery and runny, and we've had multiple visits where they'll forget about our nachos and burn the chips. Once a burrito tore when the worker was rolling it up, so she just squeezed the ingredients into a new tortilla and rolled it back up which made it mushy with a quarter of toppings gone. To be clear, the workers are ALWAYS super nice and helpful, but the overall quality of the food is simply not on par with any other Willy's I've been to in the area. read more

Brian is the new manager at this location and creates an excellent vibe - he has a fun personality and kind heart. The food is typical Willy's, really good, fast Mexicana. The staff are more engaged than in past visits and the attention to detail has improved since Brian's arrival. We look forward to seeing this location continue to improve. Regarding quality - the chips needed to be cooked a bit longer - kinda oily and soft (not crispy). Normally it's great but tonight one of the employees was extremely rude. I had ordered a Baja burrito but she decided to not say until the salsa/veggie station that they were out of queso, so I said I didn't want it anymore, because the whole point of the Baja burrito is that it's covered in queso, and I wasn't even pissed or anything I just said can I have a normal burrito and just seemed so pissed off, like bruh it's not my fault u didn't tell me u had no queso. This was a good stop for lunch hour! It's like Chipotle, where you can order a burrito or bowl and customize what's in it. Or you can order from the menu for some other Tex-mex options. I had the pulled pork bowl, and the meat itself had tons of flavor, and I enjoyed it with the pico de gallo and salsa verde and a squeeze of lime. It hits the spot for a fast food meal, and the service was pretty good. The manager was hanging around to make sure everyone was happy. I'd suggest this place, but beware that it's really hard to find a parking spot during lunch hour during the week! (Also, from a separate visit for dinner one day... The restaurant is always clean, which can be rare in a fast paced restaurant. Parking is the only issue, with so many businesses in a small area, expect to drive around looking for a spot. I agree with other posts. The store is not clean and the health score (80) reflects this. The staff didn't speak or make eye contact. I felt like I was inconveniencing her by giving her my order. The staff move in slow motion and don't get in a hurry to do anything. It wasn't busy when we were there but we had to wait to be greeted and place our orders. I too vote that if you want Willy's then go to the one on Barrett Parkway. If you want to keep the store, you probably need to re-evaluate who you're hiring. This was my first time eating at a Willy's, but I've had similar types of restaurants (Chipotle, Moe's, freebirds, Qdoba). They offer a wide variety of dishes like tacos, nachos, burritos, bowls etc, and they have a ton of toppings/fillings that you can choose from. They also have queso, which is a huge plus in my book. Everything was fresh, the steak I got in my bowl was very tender and flavorful and they didn't skimp on the amount they put in there. Prices are reasonable, the staff was friendly and they moved fast. All the meats are grilled fresh behind the counter as well, so you're not going to get dry/old meat (at least I didn't). This is the most amazing Willy's I have been to by far. My sister and I cane to visit in route to Chipotle after some weekday shopping and it was a great the decision. The music and atmosphere was super fun! Bryan was a joy! The food was more than enough, we even have lunch for tomorrow! Our nachos were clearly made with love. It is incredible how difficult it is for the people at this location to follow directions. Every single time I order from here, everything is wrong. It's just a burrito and I literally only ever ask for 4 toppings max because I know anything more than 4 is asking too much. When I actually went to this location, I was shocked. There were three college kids standing behind the counter confused. Fortunately there was a young man who noticed the ridiculousness and took over, telling them to do something else. I don't know if it's laziness, entitlement, or just poor parenting, but this place needs to hire better employees and not a bunch of kids from KSU. read more
