I got simple Tacos de Carne Asada

Hello, just thought I'd let you know we come to this restaurant. Very seldom reason why we're never thrilled when we leave. The meal that we had was a 3 out of a 1 to 5 rating. The service was great young lady took care of his pretty well and we didn't have to look for too much. We were checked on regular, which was good better than last time. The ambience is the same as it has been for years. They haven't changed it at all. They do, however, have live music on Fridays and Saturdays it looks like. If you just wanna drink and some snacks, it's perfect.

Hole in the wall Mexican places are always the best, and this place serves up great hole in the wall Mexican! Located in the Publix shopping center and hidden on the far left side, you'll find this hole. My girlfriend is a fan of this place so we've been here twice already. Love the atmosphere and seating options, and the nice little bar in front. They also have outdoor seating. My girlfriend claims they serve up the coldest beer, and while it's cold bud lite, it's pretty cold. The cheese dip here is pretty good and so is the salsa. Loved their street tacos, which I would highly suggest. The only downfall is pricing is a little more than I'd normally pay and the street tacos don't come with a side. Don't need to add too much more, other than saying this will hit your Mexican fix. Haven't tried the margaritas yet, but that'll happen for sure in the next few months. No issues either here with service. Keep in mind that most patrons out this way aren't really wearing masks, which is no bueno. I do recommend this spot!

Great service. Tasty pollo ranchero. Beef tacos ok, slightly tough, fish tacos were bad, not fresh.

Definitely set up for a god time. The service is excellent. Our server, Abbie, was a gem. Super friendly and prompt. She did an incredible job upselling us as well. Lol. We went in on a Monday evening and learned they do $5 house margaritas on Mondays. Something I can absolutely get down with! The margarita was solid, especially for the price. For an addition $3 you can add an extra shot which I did and it made it all the better, still at a great price at $8. Chips and salsa came out literally as we were sat. Extremely quick. The chips were fresh, hot, and crispy. They had a nice light salting on them. The salsa tasted fresh and was garnish with fresh cilantro which gave it a nice pop. The salsa itself was a little bland, however. Definitely not spicy at all which is fine but I would have preferred a little more spice. I ordered the Quesadilla Birra. It was plated beautifully with a side of consommé. Overall they were just okay. The meat was nicely cooked, tender but it was just bland. Consommé was the same, bland. I likely wouldn't order this dish again. My partner did the shrimp fajitas and they were fantastic. The shrimp were nicely seasoned and cooked to perfection. Sautéed onions and peppers were also cooked perfectly. I will absolutely be back. I would like to give more of the menu a chance and the daily specials are hard to beat.

The outdoor area is a highlight of the restaurant in my opinion. We decided to sit inside the small, whisper quiet, dining room. The space is small but well organized with the night amount of tables. The service was very slow. There was plenty of wait staff and many of them were just standing around. This was a real bummer for me as good service would have potentially given this place a better overall rating. The chips and salsa were meh. Salsa was just fine but the chips were overly fried/burned but served cold as though they had been sitting all day. We ordered some guacamole to accompany our salsa. $5.50 was a reasonable price and it was a nice size portion. Very blan. Could have used some more salt in my opinion but that could just be me. Both of our entrees were actually pretty solid. I say actually as I was feeling like this was going to be a complete bust leading up to this point. My chicken was a little dry but great flavor in the dish. My partner's burrito was huge and flavorful. This has some potential to be significantly better. I will return but it is not a "this is my go-to" caliber restaurant.

It really doesn't make sense, since fast food restaurants are frying french fries and cooking bacon all day long and you never smell fried food or grease when you seat inside to eat. Again, is abusive! They should be able to afford upgrading their ventilation system because they have lots of clientele. I guess they don't care too much about the customers as long as they keep coming back that's all they care about... I would definetely choose another restaurant if I'm dining out on a special occasion and I'm dressing up... I can't even order take out because just standing inside a few minutes to pay for the order, will fumigate your whole body with that strong smell including your clothes, and even, your underwear. Is incredible how strong the smell is that penetrates under your clothing.

I've eaten Mexican food for 50 years and this was the worst I've ever had (not kidding). The enchilada was cheese and there was plenty but it was about as dry as it could be. A little sauce would have definitely helped. The server was very attentive on the front end. When we were done, I had to flag the manager for our checks. He got right on it but 10 minutes later we were still sitting there, waiting to pay. I had to flag the manager down again. This was unacceptable. Even with 3 stars, I would never eat here again.

The restaurant is inside an old house with a massive wrap around porch featuring plenty of covered outdoor seating. As we walked to the hostess stand we noticed a sign stating they lost their liquor license. This was a massive let down as I was excited for a margarita. We almost left but decided to give it a shot. Inside was a pretty standard Mexican restaurant decor. The place was clean and looked to be well kept. Our server didn't seem too excited about life and was a bit slow and unenthusiastic. Brought our chips and salsa pretty quick and took our drink order. When he came back with our waters and soda we placed our food order. I wanted a Carne Asada which I was told is actually no longer available. This is completely bonkers to me. A staple dish at any Mexican restaurant. So I ordered something else that has skirt steak in it. Super confusing how they couldn't do that particular dish. Overall the food we ordered was actually really good.
